June...here we come!!!

Sorry AF showed Michelle. I was hopeful. Beaglemom...I'll cross my digits for you over here too!

I just got peak on my cbopk...usually I just test in the AM, and this morning was still "high" (no LH spike). Then I was going to go to the bathroom after yoga and running some errands and noticed ewcm...which I don't get too much. So I tested again and got that LH spike!! We will give it a good go this cycle but I think this TWW will be so much easier because I have my first re appt Wednesday. Sooo excited to get a plan going and get a baby!!

Hi to everyone else! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Officially started a new cycle...no guessing anymore. I am fine with it. But I feel crappy & we were supposed to go to the beach today...but I just want to stay home. I hate the first 2 days. S my u/s on Monday will be a baseline u/s & I can order my meds & move on to IUI #5...this is the one that is getting me pregnant...#5 Yankee was Joe DiMaggio...it is tentatively scheduled for July 2...Derek Jeter is #2...both very lucky numbers. :)

Erin I think we will be in the TWW together.

Beagle, so sorry for AF, but I'm glad you're feeling so good about this next IUI! I was happy to read your positive post (I posted in the other thread before I read this), and to see that you're looking forward and feeling good! Sorry you're having a crappy AF though. I know the feeling, bleh. Yes, you're right, we will probably be in the TWW together! You'll probably be having your IUI about the time I have my ER.

Sarah, yay for the pos opk!! Fxd for you this cycle!! I'm glad you have your RE appt too, as I know that does make things feel more relaxed when you're taking another step forward, just in case! But I hope you won't even need that RE and that you'll just get a bfp! :winkwink:

Hi everyone, hope your weekends are going well!

AFM, I'm an idiot... I used the wrong needle for the menopur yesterday! Not a big deal really, except that it HURT! That needle can be used, but after doing some googling, I read a lot of girls saying they were provided with smaller needles that you can switch out on the syringe! The syringe comes with a 1.5" needle that you can use if you need to stir the med after mixing it. But it can be twisted right off and replaced with the the .5" needle for injection. I went back in and looked in the box Cigna sent me, and sure enough, there were the separate smaller needles. I can't believe I inflicted that pain on myself unnecessarily, lol! :haha: Anyway, such a relief. It was much more pleasant this morning!

Good luck!! Sending lots of BD! :dust:

Erin, glad you can use a smaller needle. I know all about injections. Not as many as you right now, but basically I am inserting something in my body all cycle starting cd 3. It's exhausting! Anyways I feel fine...very happy with the higher dose of folistim and adding the cough syrup and folic acid to my husbands nightly blend. As long as my u/s on Monday is clear. Still no clue why the weird cycle. Hopefully no cysts or anything like that.

I'm excited about your higher dose of follistim too! Each time the Drs do something new or bump us up, it just feels like a step in the right direction, ya know? I just noticed in your siggy that you're taking 7.5 Femara... Is that recent too? I was on 5mg, and for some reason I thought we were on the same dose, so I was wondering if they bumped that up for you too? If so, double exciting! Or maybe your RE had you on that the whole time and I'm just not remembering right..?

Oops, sorry for the double post, not sure how that happened.

Btw beagle, I meant to ask...is your DH taking CoQ10? The reason I ask is because even though my DH's SA was good, my RE just has the men take it as a standard for sperm quality (and women for egg quality) since when doing assisted conception, it certainly doesn't hurt. Although she said it takes about 90 days to really take effect, but on our 2nd IUI, his post-wash count went up from 89M to 113M. Not much really, but I know every little bit counts. It could just have something to do with the fact that we abstained for an extra day though, who knows (instead of BDing the day of the trigger, we did it the night before). But I'll be curious when he gives his specimen on the day of my ER if the count and/or motility is even better than last cycle, because by then we'll have almost 90 days under our belt. It really may just have been solely due to abstaining the one extra day, but I'm curious what his next specimen sheet will say. Just thought I'd mention it. :)

Tmi ladies but I still have very sensitive nipples just on the ends I think. Like a high sensitivity tender :blush:

I just looked back...I am only taking 5 mg...not sure where I got 7.5. He has been taking the coq10...but not very long. I also just bought folic acid for him & he will start taking the cough medicine tonight.

Oh & she is hoping the higher dose of follistim will produce 2 eggs this time.

Beaglemom - sorry about AF but I'm glad you are feeling good about IUI #5. I read the link Michelle posted about guaifenesin improving men's sperm count and motility. Between that and 5 hour energy I think I might be able to get DH to try one of them. I've been taking Ubiquinol for almost 8 months now but I haven't tried to push it onto DH yet.

Erin - Are you doing the injections yourself? I read that some women have their husbands do it for them but knowing how much mine hates needles I know I'll be on my own when the time comes. When my cat was sick I had to give him two injections a day for a good two months, but I can't imagine doing it on myself. I'm glad you are able to use a smaller needle. I hope it hurts less.

Sarahlou - sore nipples could be a good sign in the TWW!

AFM, I finished my last dose of Soy Isoflavones last night. However, I don't think it's changing my cycle much since I got a dark/almost positive OPK this morning at CD8, so it's looking like another cycle of early ovulation for me. I really don't know what's going on with me but at least I'm going back to my RE soon so hopefully he'll have some answers for me. Went to more yard sales yesterday and saw tons of cute baby stuff but couldn't buy any :(

Michelle it's called clear blue advanced digital ovulation test. It measures estrogen and LH and gives you flashing smilies in the days leading up to ovulation based on elevated estrogen then a solid smiley when it detects LH, which immediately precedes o.

Thanks for the coq10 tip. I recently got DH a fertility blend vitamin even though his SA came back fine. I will check if that's in there and may get some if not.

We had 2 nights of very fun bd...didn't feel obligatory at all which was very nice!! So keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for your kind words. :hugs:

U/S went well...lots of little follies...now I just need them to grow! I would love to see 2 mature next Monday.

Erin - OUCH!! At my class they definitely told us to switch the needles!

Beagle - yay for lots of little follies - this is your cycle!!

AFM - still waiting for AF...not sure what will happen since took the HCG shot at day 25 - the day I normally get AF.

After three girls ages 6, 4 and 3..we are ready to start ttc our fourth and final babe. Would love a blue bundle but more pink would be fine too. Planning to start trying in july. Would love to have a ttc buddy.

That's great news Beaglemom! Lots of follies = lots of targets for the swimmers! :)

Awesome Beaglemom!! Hoping they will grow big and strong!!

Moni glad to see you check in! Not super sure what you're hoping for because I've not started any of the interventions so am ignorant, but hope it goes smoothly!

Tkelly621 you are certainly welcome to join. But just so you are aware, this thread is in the ttc#1 forum so we are all (to my knowledge) trying for out first. As I said, not trying to exclude...I'm sure you will be dealing with many of the same issues as us and are welcome but just letting you know the primary makeup of the group.
