June & July 2020 Pearls & Rubies!

So many congratulations to everyone since last I checked in!

All the babies are sooo freaking cute!

On a side note, hubby's plan was to get a vasectomy shortly after Monroe came into the world but he told me yesterday that in the future he wouldn't mind trying for a girl. This dude is going to be the death of me lol! He originally wanted 2 kids and I wanted 3 or 4 and then when our two older boys were both more independent we were both so set on having the two. Then we were surprised but happy about our June baby and now he wants a 4th. I absolutely love how paternal this man is the closer we get to our 30s.

That’s great @zmzerbe!!

The thought of this one being my last is making me so sad.... I’m turning 40 next year so there’s no question about another baby... maybe it’s just knowing that my uterus will be shut down after this is a little sad... but I am sure it’s just hormones too at this point... I didn’t feel like this when we thought our 2nd was last.. maybe I secretly knew we would have a 3rd...

How are all the new mammas doing??
I have to say I am feeling better in terms of baby blues and even physically healed. Still trying to take it easy as not to strain too much. Still haven’t taken the baby out except for appointments. I’m waiting till after she’s one month old so she would have built her immune system a little bit.
How’s the baby sleeping?? Did anyone hear of “taking cara babies sleep program”? I’ve heard good things about it and thinking about taking it.

Were doing good. Weve been out quite a bit, either to the zoo, splash pad, kids gym, or familys' house. Weve been transitioning Kaylin to her crib this week. She has done ok. Last night I laid her down at 11 pm and she didnt wake til after 3 am!!! At that point once she wakes up, I just take her to bed with me. Eventually well get to the point where she only sleeps in her crib. Right now, me getting sleep is a priority!

We are doing good over here. Aubrey sleep decent, this has been my first baby that I have been successful at breastfeeding so that’s exciting! My other two kids are in love with her, especially my 17 month old. As for me I finally feel human again and all the pain I had prior is almost gone.

Nice to hear you guys adjusted well to the baby. @Heather.1987, are you in the US? Is there no COVID concerns about going out and having gatherings? that’s great that baby is sleeping 4 hours already. The most I got is 3 hours. Usually less.. I do also take the baby in bed when I am super tired and she’s being fuzzy...

does breastfeeding still hurt for anyone? My nipples still hurt for the first 10 secs or so. I have an appointment with a lactation consultant next week to see if I’m doing anything wrong.

Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Doctor today and found out baby is engaged and I'm 1.5cm dilated and 80% effaced so might get a July baby after all. We're keeping out fingers crossed for it, I'm beyond sick of being pregnant lol

Wanna, I'm in the states, Nebraska. We have some cases. Some people are super concerned, and other people....like me....are over it. Most stuff is open...not all, but enough to get out. Some places require masks, but most dont. But kids arent getting sick, and after being stuck in the house so long, I think its healthy for everyone to get out of the house!

Camia, so exciting!!! Definitely understand the feeling of wanting to be DONE! Keep us updated!!

Just checking in on everyone, how are you ladies? Monroe is already a little over a month old and we've been getting tons of social smiles lately! Big brothers are obsessed with holding him and soon we are going to teach our 6.5 year old to give the baby a bottle (supervised of course) in order to give dad a little help here and there when I go back to work.

Breastfeeding is going ok too which I'm happy about. I'm stressing less about giving him formula than with my other two so some days I have my husband replace a feeding with a bottle and I pump instead. Although yesterday I came down with Mastitis and let me tell you, it SUCKS.

anyways, here is a pic of his new favorite napping spot. I put him in the boppy in the rocking chair and sit on the ottoman and pump usually while I rock him. 20200718_204544.jpg

Kaylin Mae 1 month old. Love her so much! Stop growing so fast baby girl!

What cuties!!!

how many lbs did your babies gain in a month since birth?? I know, I feel like the newborn stage is going by so quickly..
Navya seem to have lots of gas and is hard to settle sometimes.. do you ladies know if anything for gas?? I heard BioGia ProTectis is good for it and thinking of trying...

Wow such sweet babies here!

We are doing really well, I'm surprised actually at how quickly we settled into a newborn routine and feel comfortable in it. We are absolutely in love with our daughter and she is such a beautiful, curious and communicating baby. She is only 2 and a half weeks old and already becoming a little person.
@wanna_baby We had some days of colic, this is hell! We started giving her the biogaya drops and (I hope not to jinx it) seems to have helped after 3 days.

@zmzerbe mastitis really sucks! I also had it yesterday, today is better after a lot of painful breastfeeding and pumping... I hope it stays that way.

glad you have settled in well with a newborn.
Yes I’ve ordered the biogia drops and waiting to get it now. Hopefully it helps.

how long of a stretch are your babies sleeping at night? The most I get is 3 hours. Mostly 2-2.5 hours which means I get next to no sleep as I have a hardd time falling back to sleep right away... hoping she’ll sleep longer stretches as she gets older.

we are also dealing with baby acne. It’s small pimple like bumps on her face, head and neck. Apprantly it’s Normal in some babies and goes away on its own. I’m getting impatient and tempted to try any creams... anyone else has experienced this with their babies??

We start Kaylin in her own room around 1030/11 and last night she didnt wake til 5! Yay! Then I've been bringing her back to bed with me to feed her while I go back to sleep! Not a fan of cosleeping, but with 3 other kids, I need sleep! Soon she will transition 100% to her crib but for now I'm enjoying the rest and cuddles!

She has been social smiling the past few days!!! Love her!!!

Maddox has baby acne from birth, he’s 7 weeks now and I’d say to be honest it only started to clear up around 2 weeks ago but we just left it go on it’s own.

His sleep isn’t great either, he feeds every 4 hours however in the night wakes every couple of hours. If I kept him in the bed he would sleep all night I think but I really don’t want to. I think I get around 4 hours a night broken which I’m struggling with xx

Baby Maddox 7 weeks old this week, not sure why it’s turned sideways!
