Hi there , i'm first timer trying to use an opk. I've got a lot of questions i wanted to ask. Tried searching for answer on the net but still confused.
1- When should i be using if my af starts on 22 may 12 (28 days cycle)
2- can i test at 2pm and then test again later at 11pm? ( due to work)
3-After getting a positive opk when is the best time to BD? If i tested positive at 2pm that day and by the time i reached home its already 11pm will it still be useful if BD that night?
4-when should i stop opk after a positive
Pls Pls ans to my questions im in alot of doubts. Thanks all and lots of to all

well i am def. not an expert at this stuff but ill tell you what i did and maybe that will help... I started testing on cd 15 some people start on cd 10 tho... i tested at night and morning...BD whenever you get your "faint" positives and up untill 3 days after you actually get your positive result so it might seem like a week straight BDing lol but that way you can't miss the eggy! I stopped my opk after two days after I got my positive result and realized they were neg. thats how i knew when i O'd. hope this helps...

so it doesn't matter what time to test right? as long as im testing twice a day
at the same time that'll be fine? Must i really wait for 5mins to let pee settle at room temp before testing?( as im in retail line and if i had to test at 2pm in my working hour i cant be in the toilet for long time trying to test.)
i'm going to start at cd12 till cd15. but if i were to ovulate on cd15 wouldn't i have 2-3days of positive test? so how can i confirm that when i ovulated?and also due to my working hours i can't be possible Bd'ing every day .
and if i tested positive at 2pm when is the really best time to bd?

Some people say it matters what time but i don't think it does personally....i wasn't getting all crazy about it lol i just tested once a day whenever i felt like it.. and luckily i got my positive... after you get your positive that indicates that your LH level is high and will probably ov within 24 to 48 hours after your 1st positive result. if you tested positive at 2pm bd that night.... thanks for the same to you!

He said if everything is good and im still not pregnant after all the tests then he will write a script for my DH to get checked he said 40% of the time its the guy and its usually an easy fix.......

Glad to hear you found a Doc that sounds awesome!!!! The percentage rate he gave you for male infertility is almost a little misleading though. The rates between male and female infertility are essentially the *exact same*. It's really about 45% male to 45% female and the other 10% the cause is unknown. I work in a Urology Clinic as a medical tech and a surgical technician. We see quite a few male infertility patients. I'll tell you this, it is SUPER easy to start the testing for males. It all just starts with a Semen Analysis (typically 2, about 30 days apart).
There's alot of hullabaloo about certain numbers being low. But you have to look at all the numbers as a whole. Maybe motility is only 30%, but 30% the population of China would have no problem in comparison to 30% of the population of Fiji, lol.

1: ovulation comes 14 days before the end of your cycle (usually), so I'd suggest starting at day 12.
2: you can test any time. I test around 12/1 pm and again around 11p/12a
3: you need to BD *BEFORE* the + opk.
4: I test until i dont have a + opk anymore, but have been told you can stop after the 1st +

Got my peak on cd11 on cbfm!! Bd'd last night and cd6,8,9 and 10. Hubby away overnight for work but he has promised to come home before so we can go for 11 (+12 +13!!) not totally sure when you O after a peak as don't temp but trying to cover all basis!!!

I'm not due to ovulate until June 4th but I have ewcm and my cp is open soft and mid height. I can't get opks until the 29th and I'm afraid I'm gonna miss the surge. Is this possible? My lp would be 24 if that's the case.

I doubt you are O'ing but i'd BD just in case. I get ewcm all times of my cycle. It's weird. We're all different. If you feel most comfortable BDing.. then do it!

HI all! So I'm out for May now, so I decided to join the June thread. I'm not sure when I will be testing yet as I had a strangely short cycle for May, only 22 days, so I'm just going to wait til I get a +opk and temp jump and then let everyone know! If I have a normal cycle, I'd like to test on June 23 because that is OH's birthday, but I doubt we'll make it that long.
