LOL!!

Nevertheless I found the original hand written timeline - https://forum.fok.nl/topic/1177608/11/25 Just scan down the page :dohh:

But did they really check? Bit convenient Jane Tanner came out afterwards saying she saw a man carrying a child. If noone else did go to check noone would of known until Gerry went, took her to the beach (which according to Google is a 2 minute walk) came back and then Kate staged her going to check. None of the timing adds up anyway. They said the Police weren't called til 11:50 though they knew she was abducted by 10:40? Did they spend all that time getting their stories straight?

You've bought up some very interesting points Jem.

Firstly with regard to Jane Tanner ... she claims that she saw and walked past Gerry McCann talking to another guest (Jeremy Wilkins) just before she saw the man carrying the child - yet both Mr Wilkins and Gerry McCann claim that they didn't see her ... on a narrow street? https://gazetadigitalmadeleinecase.blogspot.com/2007/10/one-more-witness-contradicts-jane.html

Secondly, with regard to them getting their stories straight - have a look at this https://jillhavern.forumotion.net/t286-jane-tanner-liar The handwritten lists form part of the police investigation files and the scanned originals can be found easily online.

Duhh that didn't even cross my mind. The fact Gerry and the other guy didn't notice her didn't phase me - until now. Now why would she say that? That sort of nudges me toward her covering for him. Or she's just a compulsive liar. Or both. It's interesting to see that some events can be confirmed - but the timing is way way off. Did noone have a watch? Honestly. Interesting to say the least that Jane came after Gerry. Was it Gerry she saw walking with Madeleine but thought nothing of it? Is she covering for him? Ho hum..

I feel really sad about what the Smith's saw, and the fact that he couldnt sleep for two days after seeing Gerry on the news. He knows doesnt he? And it clearly haunts him

So the front page of The Sun says 'I fear this outfit led to Maddie kidnapp' & a picture of Kate. Haven't read it but COME ON WOMAN! YOU led to her 'kidnapp'/accidental death or whatever....take some responsibility! Infuriates me.

I know!

Just read through the last few pages of this thread & if the beach was in walking distance from the hotel, I don't see how Gerry could have buried/hidden her body so quickly, & then found the time to go back & move it or hide it better because you'd think it would have been found if it wasnt moved in the hire car til 20 odd days later? Not dismissing it at all just wondering what you think?

I do think though if something like this did happen there certainly was something else they had to hide that caused them to do it. To decide to hide your childs body.....there's something more.

If the theory is she fell and died behind the couch perhaps she was still sedated, meaning if she had tests done on her, they would have found it in her system and the McCann's would be in one hell of a lot of trouble. Hence hiding her was the "easiest and safest" option. If she was buried in the sand (I think the beach was an extremely short walk from the apartments and most of the Tapas 9 believe Gerry was gone for around 30 minutes) then her body would have been quite well preserved. It's possible they could have gone back with their new hire car, taken Gerry's holdall, dug her up, put her in the holdall and into the boot of the car without being noticed had they done it at night. Where they eventually buried her is a mystery. They could have moved her to another beach and dumped the holdall in the sea. I'm sure there is a number of places. It doesn't bear thinking about but desperate people do desperate things. They are only human, although what they did was far from human to us

and yet again - she pops in her legal jargon.

Kate said: "Certainly in my heart I feel she is out there. We'll never give up on finding her, how could we? What parent would give up on their child?"

Kate added: "There is no evidence that Madeleine has come to any harm. There is also no evidence that she is not out there alive. In four years there never has been."

(taken from todays The Sun extract of the book)

They're always bleating about how there is "no evidence"

Seems a tad suspicious to me. And they perhaps protest too much...

I think what she means about the outfit is that Maddie looked beautiful and caught someones eye who may then have watched the family waiting for a chance to take her (leaving aside the fact that they were handed that chance on a plate).

She also said that someone might have known they were out because the diary in the restaurant had a note in it saying they wanted to be close to their apartment so they could keep an eye on the children and she feared someone watching them had seen it.

My LO is very blonde and has beautiful eyes. Everyone remarks on their colour and how beautiful they are.

When I dress him in certain things we are constantly being stopped by people who want to admire him. He has a particular coat from Next and some shirts from Debenhams that never fail to draw attention to him.

One woman said he looked like Royalty, I think she'd got Royal Wedding Fever because she kept saying "He could be Royalty, he looks just like Prince William when he was a young boy, he's better than Royalty!" *cue Proud Mummy Moment*

But once we had a man pay him a compliment and then say "people would pay good money for him" before he laughed and walked off. I did that thing where you start to laugh because they have but then you realise what they have said isn't funny and you have no idea what they meant but you don't like it.

So I sort of know what she means. Sometimes children do draw a lot of attention just because of how they look in a certain outfit, and who knows who might have been looking at Maddie that day?

I will say the comment from that man made me much more aware of who might be looking at LO and why.

This thread has opened my eyes up SO much..

Maybe when Gerry checked on them.. he disposed of the body.. could of even put it in the sea! .. Maybe Kate doesnt even know that.. Gerry knows, but Kate doesnt? But i think Gerrys behaviour would of been noticed 'odd' when he went back to the table..

+ i hope one of them find this thread + read through it all.. so they know the public isnt stupid!

True but tbh I think she is just clutching at straws now

I thought so too when I read about the entry in the diary. The chances of someone checking it for notes about unattended children are possible but tiny. And the chance that someone would be looking to see is she and Gerry were booked in that night might be a bit bigger but not much. They could have gone anywhere so would this person have checked every restaurant?

I can just see what she means about the outfit, but again, it might have nothing to do with it at all.

They did notice a change in Gerry's behaviour. Apparently he was talking and gesticulating a lot which was unlike his behaviour on all previous nights :/

It's such a load of bollocks!! she was wearing a pretty top therefore a child abuser/abductor took her because the top caught his/her eye.

I am sorry but almost ALL little girls clothes are cute and flowery and pretty I am rolling my eyes here!

There is no evidence Maddie has come to harm (I would disagree with that) There is also no evidence she was ever even taken.

They infuriate me! I have commented on the Sun article and so far it hasn't been pubished quelle surprise!

See all seems abit dodgy to me, Kate doesnt know the full truth..
But i dont see how he would of been able to hold it all together, exspecially for this long..

It seems odd to me that from what I can see from the Mccan files - the Paynes were the only ones using a listening device for their children. They also stated that it was each person's responsibility to check on their own children. So why would they be such a big hoo-ha about how many times the Mccan's children were checked and who went to do it? It's been said that the Payne's were listening in on their kids, Jane Tanner and her husband were attending to their ill daughter, Matthew Olfield (the guy who was alleged to make a strange gesture about Madeleine) checked on the Mccan's kids and his wife did not take part in any check. And neither did Fiona Payne's mother. She was also the only one not to leave the table when Kate declared Maddie missing and has since given no statement or interview..

It is also strange that at the end of 2007 the Mccans called the Tapas 9 to a private meeting which the content has never been known. Pact of silence? Who knows. But I find all their behaviour very odd.

I'm watching a really interesting documentary. Will post the link in a bit
