and also, the hire car was hired 5 weeks after she disappeared, now they were being watched pretty much 24/7 by police, media etc ..... how on earth would they have managed too trasfer her body from wherever they managed too keep it for all that time and 'dispose' (ugh sorry i hate that word but can't think of anything else) of it without being seen ...... that just doesn't make sense

Just because the dogs were alerted to the boot doesn't mean the body was moved in the car. It could have been moved before (read the next page where I've posted a good link) & then it could have been an item of clothing or something with the scent on that had been in the boot. I see what you mean about media/police coverage & I do agree, so it would make more sense to me it was something 'remaining' that alerted the dog.

It would make sense with that sighting of gerry carrying a small child if he was going to another apartment, Im not convinced he could bury her in the sand on a beach with his bare hands and apartments all around in 30mins but he could have had another apartment that he took her too, Then they 'disposed' of her later, I think they were allowed some free time with their family? Then they told all their friends if theyre all part of this masons group thats why the call to police was delayed by over an hour... Thats my theory of the day anyway

The cadaver dog, Eddy, indicated the scent of death on articles of clothing belonging to Madeleine and Kate and on a shelf in a closet and behind a couch in the living/sitting room. He found the scent on the key to their rental vehicle and in a flowerbed at the foot of the stairs leading to the sliding doors of the apartment. He found it on Madeleine's plush toy, Cuddle Cat.

No scent was found on any bed or on any of Gerry's clothing.

The one indicator that is almost never discussed among the collection is the one in the flowerbed. Occasionally it is mentioned that Madeleine might have fallen off the landing at the top of the stairs, into the flower bed below, where she died.

But that would mean that she couldn't have died behind the couch, usually seen as the most likely place where her death might be supposed to have occurred and if she died in the flower bed, surely they wouldn't have taken her inside and stuffed her behind the couch, where the scent was found.

However, her body could have been found behind the couch and later deposited briefly in the flowerbed, enroute to being concealed in some other place. The flowerbed indication was characterized as faint, by the dog handler.

If that is what happened, why was the scent also indicated on a shelf in a cupboard in the parent's bedroom? Was Madeleine also hidden there? Was she in the missing blue kit bag, sitting on that shelf, as people frantically searched the apartment and neighborhood?

That last bit gave me chills!

The McCann's did have a second holiday home. That's where the local woman claimed to have seen the boot of their hire car open constantly which was not followed up but when asked, Gerry said it was to get rid of the smell of some rotting meat that had leaked in the boot

Slot of people dispute the Freemasons thing and say it's too far into conspiracy theory but lots of little things add up, for example the regrouping meeting the tapas 9 had was in a hotel with a masonry chapel, also the Freemasons and Templar websites have continually promoted and supported the McCann search without dips.
This is also worth thinking of -the article about the McCanns being involved in the daily express has been totally wiped from existence. Obviously they can't remove every hard copy sold but there is no record in the express' archives, library archives etc and on the website. When does that ever happen? Even when people re wrongly accused to TTY and obliterate all evidence of a major newspapers very big running story?

The move came after it was revealed that police in Portugal were focusing their investigation on a “lost seven hours” on the day Madeleine disappeared.Now Dr Payne’s husband – medical researcher David, 41 – has claimed he saw Madeleine being put to bed when he visited the McCann flat at 7pm. Before his new testimony, police sources admitted they could not confirm the whereabouts of Kate and Madeleine after 1.29pm that day. Kate’s movements were said to be unaccounted for until she sat down to have dinner with Gerry and their friends at around 8.40pm.

I havent read the whole thread but i remember when this first happened and i thought what twat leaves their kids alone at any time? and i dont think any different now!! whether they left them alone and maddie was abducted or they did something to Maddie and are covering it up they are ultimately to blame and i really just want to slap the McCanns round the face, i wont be buying the book! x
