LOST: The Final Chapter - discussion/theory thread! **May Contain Spoilers!**

nikki and paulo were only mentioned once more i think by miles!! when he was offered money he said all he had to do was dig up those 2 under there that were burried with millions of dollars worth of diamonds!

still lost though, maybe thats the point,

i like that bbc write up. 'sometimes you just have to let go' hmmmmm

I don't think the plane with Sawyer, Kate, Claire etc crashed I assumed they'd safely got off the island. We don't really need to see what happened to them I'd assume Kate and Claire go raise Aaron, Sawyer will find his daughter, Miles and Frank not sure. Would be interesting to see a spin off involving Richard - back in the real world after all those years!!!

The conversation outside the church between Hurley and Ben suggests they had at least SOME time running the island together.

There was no concept of time in the alt - where were Nikki and Paulo though?!

I agree with you
I didn't see anything which suggested otherwise?

HELP!!! Trying to watch online atm, i've watched 'the end' episode then started watching the 'final journey' and there seems to b a whole chunk missing?? have i missed something is the end in 2 parts??

The Final Journey is the recap. :flower:

The End should've been in 2 parts. There were 13 clips on the website that I was watching it from.

I have to say that I rather liked it! Can't tell you how happy I was to see Shannon and Sayid together again!

I got the idea that the flash-sideways might not be purgatory, but where the souls of those who went on prior 'waited' until everyone else was ready to move on to the afterlife. I also thought it was brilliant to end the series with Jack's eye closing, when it started with his opening.

I'm not overly confused about things, kinda wondered why Walt and Michael weren't there, but as I read someone (I think?) that they aren't dead yet. Or, the time that they spent on the Island with everyone wasn't as meaningful to them as it was to the others?

I'm so sad to see the series done though.

i'm watcing it again for the 3rd time with oh.

i still dont get it though, when did kate and hurley die then. and who is david if not jacks son.

the 2 different timelines still confuse me.

Michael's "trapped" on the island (he spoke with Hurley a few eps back), presumably because he killed Libby and Ana-Lucia. It would've been nice to have had at least a mention of Walt but then I'm not sure how they could have.

I don't think they died right away. From the conversation that Kate had with Jack she said "I've missed you so, so, so much" or something like that... I got the feeling that it had been a long time. So I'm going to assume that she got off the Island, lived her life and when she died she went to the 'meeting' place.

Christian mentions to Jack that the people who were there, some died before him, some died not long after him and others many years after him. Could've been that Kate and Hurley might've been in the "many years after" category.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that makes sense wish we knew when they dies though. so did they all go to heaven then, why was aran a baby then? and whats jacks son all about and with juliet.

ye i was like noooooo when i saw the fault sign too, i was i knew it i knew it

tiff it seems really weird you being over the pond n all that watching the same programme lol at the same time.

When Christian left the church, there was a big bright light. IMO, I think they were on their way to Heaven, or some form of positive afterlife.

Aaron being a baby confused me too, unless him being a baby on the Island was a big thing for Charlie and Claire, and that's why he was in a baby-form in the Church?

Ha ha ha I know!

Although it did air last night here, but I was having a really bad day yesterday and didn't watch it. Watched it online today.

Speaking of being across the pond, isn't it like 10:30pm there? :haha:

im understanding the whole death and afterlife thing now too, but the aaron and jacks son is peeing me off!!!

I want to know!!

I think the purgatory place was were they could go to be happy before being able to move on.

Like they got everything they never had before xx

and penny, when did penny die lol its confusing that part, but i'm starting to understand now.

I only watched up to halfway through series 2 and got confused. What the hell was it all about?

i think if we all remember that they all died at different times........ like hurley and ben could have died when they were 80!

hmmmm.............

so who is looking after the island then now hurley died.

and the dharma iniative i'd have liked to have understood that too
