LTTC with 'unexplained' infertility?

Wishing- Well that's good that your current doc is a bit more proactive. This LTTC journey is frustrating enough! What kind of testing will you have?

Tink- 5 embryos is pretty good! I had 24 eggs collected and only 11 fertilized, but all 11 made it to day 5 (only 3 were good enough to freeze) but I have big hopes all 5 of your embryos will make it to day 5 too!! Will they call you each day with updates? That was so nerve wracking!!

HearMyPrayers- :hugs: Sorry you are in 'the club.' This is such a rotten place to be but there are a lot of great gals and a good support system. And sorry your fs doesn't seem be taking your progesterone issues seriously but good they will supplement with your IUI.

LittleBunnie- Yay for progessing OPKs! I hope you O soon. I've never heard of welcome womb. How'd you hear about it? Thanks for the well wishes! I still have about 12 hours to go until my procedure, but I am definitely ready to get it over with.

HearMyPrayers - I use a NaPro (It's a natural family planning + alternative way of charting) professional. My normal FS would not listen to me about my progesterone at all - she kept saying it showed I was ovulating. I had tail-end brown bleeding for 3-5 days after my period was over for as long as I could remember. They said it was low progesterone. I've been on progesterone supplements for 5 cycles. The last 2 I've had 1 day or less of the brown.

Check https://www.fertilitycare.org/ to see if there's a provider near you. I may not be pregnant yet, but I feel like I'm closer than I was a year ago with a doctor who kept telling me that progesterone supplements aren't needed if you're ovulating until a pregnancy test is confirmed (even though progesterone builds the lining for implantation to occur).

A friend of mine who dealt a bit with infertility said her sister swears by it. So I of course googled and didn't see too many bad reviews. I might try it in the future if these Clomid cycles my OBGYN wants to put me on soon don't work. At this point, I'm really ready to try anything.

Hope all went well with your surgery, Hatethewait. :hugs:

Slowly but surely I am getting closer to O'ing. I hope. FX.! My body might pull what it did last month and gear up on CD 15 but didn't O until CD 22!!

That's awesome! and it must feel amazing to have someone actual want to help you naturally conceive, at the end of the day I don't care how our family is made, but if I could pick the natural route before all else I would prefer that! I'm going to look into this! I have spotting/light bleeding for almost 2 weeks prior to my period, and literally it starts exactly CD 21 of every single cycle, its tell-tale progesterone issue but they don't "care" as long as I ovulate it doesn't matter to them.

Ladies - anyone hav experience with ovarian cysts?

In July I went to my FS because I was spotting for a good 11-12 days then my period would start, really heavy flow and painful. Did an ultrasound and I had a cyst on my left ovary. Went back about 2 weeks later and the cyst was gone. Did really have any pain from the cyst I barely even noticed it. Fast forward to December and I started spotting again right after CD21, spotting was going on a week or so, and I went to work one day felt sick, like flu sick, that evening same thing. I went to my cousin's house to help bake for our family Christmas party the next day, but I literally felt like I was going to vomit the entire time, I had the worst pain in my left ovary area, I couldn't stand up straight, I could barely walk without the worst pain shooting through my left side. Standing up straight made it feel like something was pulling in the area of my ovary, all on the left side. The next morning I woke up felt fine, the pain was gone and so were the flu symptoms. My period showed up 2-3 days later.

Now this cycle I've been spotting for about 9 days now, some days it feels like AF is right there, I get horrible hot flashes, cramps, I've broken out on my face, miserable. Other days I feel fine. But today I was pressing on my ovary area on both sides and they are so beyond tender and sore. More so on the left, but they both feel so bruised on the inside if that makes any sense. Sorry if TMI but sex has been uncomfortable lately too, especially in certain positions.

Any of you ladies experience this?

:hugs: I have had a cyst before, but it wasn't huge and didn't cause any abnormal bleeding. My OBGYN kind of use it as an excuse to do an HSG. He wanted to make sure my tubes were open but my insurance did not cover any type of fertility treatment so he coded it as a cyst removal.

Before my OBGYN did an actual ultrasound, I did notice that I was tender in the spot the cyst was, and when I had met with the nurse practitioner a few days before, she thought that I had just ovulated from that side since it was a bit enlarged. ( This is the same woman that when I asked if she had any medical advice because we had been trying almost a year at that point, she said flat out " When god is ready for you to have a baby, you will have one." )

This time around I was a bit tender on my left side and thought I had grown another cyst, but had a US confirm it was nothing. :(

I've also had only a few small cysts that were brushed off as part of my Ovulation. Just had pain with them, no bleeding. Very sorry you are experiencing this, hope you feel better soon!!!

As for testing, I don't know yet bit I will let you all know the game plan tomorrow evening!

The embryologist is calling me again tomorrow with an update on my 5 egg babies. I work in the hospital and found myself wondering whereabouts they were - so sad right?? Im still sore and achey from the procedure but started the progesterone pesseries this morning - not fun!! Fingers crossed x x

As far as I know, I've had no problems with cysts. It does not sound fun though :hugs:

Tink- not sad at all. Those are your embabies!! I had me EC on a Thursday and was still sore when I went back to work on Monday. Just try to rest and take it easy. I hope you feel better soon!! The progesterone definitely is no fun either. :flower:

My hysteroscopy went OK but I remain in the grey zone... still nothing major to explain why I am not getting pregnant! :growlmad: They did remove some 'tissue' according to my husband but the doc didn't really think it was causing any problems... I didn't get to talk to the doc but will see her in a few a days when I go in for my cd2 monitoring. Guess we will have to hope these biopsies she took will improve the lining!!

Ladies, is this close enough to + on an OPK? I only had about a 45 min hold at the time. I will test again later as well :)

It's getting close, but I think it still looks a little light.

I've dealt with cysts before, but never too bad. My mom had one burst when she was a late teenager. It was so painful that the doctors thought it could have been her appendix and they went ahead and removed it as a potential cause...then saw her ovary (this would have been in the 60s) and realized she just had a major cyst rupture. I've had that happen to a few students who were rushed to the emergency room by their parents only to find out it was an ovarian cyst and not appendicitis.

Thanks ladies. I'm sorry to hear some of you have suffered with cysts as well. Not fun at all! I think I will get another ultrasound to check up on things once my period leaves, if it ever decided to fully show up!

Today feels like a sad day. I just turned 32 in February, lately I've been discovering I've got a TON of grey hair! WTH! Depressing. Weird thing is I'm sad because I feel the grey hair is yet another sign that I'm pushing the limit on becoming a mommy, I feel the grey hair is yet another sign of aging and it makes me feel like I'm that much further away from having my baby :( some days I feel like this is a dream that will never come true. I feel empty today.

Don't start saying that! I turn 32 in a few months!

If it makes you feel any better, one of my good friends had greys at 19 (noticable...she didn't even try to mask it). She's had two boys since then. One of my male cousins was almost entirely bald before he graduated from high school. A few of my 15/16 year old students already are finding greys as well.

I wouldn't get too bummed out.

Hi hope you don't mind me sharing, I remember at the time me and my oh were ltttc I was desperate to hear success stories of people in my situation. We were ltttc for about 2 years, had every test going and eventually got diagnosed as unexplained infertility, it sounds daft but at the time even though I was please nothing was really wrong it just made me feel more frustrated. Anyway long story short we did 1 cycle of IVF and I have beautiful 2 year old son to show what we went through. We are WTT for #2 until July when we will start ttc again and fingers crossed this time it happens naturally.

Good luck to you all x

It looked pretty close yesterday- did you test again?

Don't let the grey hairs worry you (or you'll just get more :haha: JK!!). My bff gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in Dec and had quite a few greys on her head. So that appears to have NOTHING to do with your ability to pop out a lil one.

Tink- how are your embies doing? I hope they are growing beautifully! FX!!

Littlebunnie- how are your OPKs looking? Darker, I hope!

Wishing- How was your appointment today?

How's everyone else doing?? :flower:

AFM- Now just waiting for AF so I can get going on FET 2.1!

Hatethewait, it got lighter but US at doctor showed a ruptured follicle so maybe I just didn't get a good positive this month. This was some brand I have never heard of before, will go back to digitals next cycle. Dr cleared me for Clomid (25 mg) starting after AF shows next. :)

 I have plucked maybe 1-3 grey hairs out in the past month or so. My dad had grey hair really young (Like 20ish) so I am hoping I didn't pick that up from him. :haha:

I think it is safe to say I am ovulating?
https://i62.tinypic.com/34pluf4.jpg

Also having a TON of twinges/pains on my left side. Methinks that's the side?

Hatethewait85 - all 5 egg babies are alive (for some reason I had a feeling we had lost two). One is a bit behind in developing but they will continue to culture him. The other 4 were at 6-8cells yesterday and the strongest will be transferred tomorrow :) then its the dreaded 2ww!! So excited/worried/emotional....x
