March...Hoping for some Irish luck to bring us little Charms

Updates on me: got a voicemail from my doctor this morning and said that my repeat prolactin level on Monday was normal so it was not elevated anymore. Yay!

However, it's now CD14 for me and still no positive OPK yet. Before my miscarriage I always o'ed early - between CD11 and CD13 with CD13 being the most common o date, so the fact that it's now CD14 and still no positive OPK and no signs of O yet is very unusual. I hope the m/c didn't mess up my cycle!! I wanted this to be a short cycle so I can get to the next cycle and start trying again since my doctor doesn't want us to try this cycle. Now the wait just drags on even longer! :(

So happy to see that your prolactin level is normal!

Good to know your levels are back to normal. As far as your cycle, I know the mc probably did change things a bit...or maybe your body just needs a cycle to readjust. Hopefully you will O soon so you can get moving for next cycle. Maybe you will have a Christmas/New Years Baby :)

I still have not heard from my dr about the progesterone. Pretty annoying. Hopefully today. I guess I should figure no news is good news.

And the wait just drags on. I showed my husband my countdown & he was just like that is going to take FOREVER!

You are half way through the tww! Hopefully the time will pass faster so you can test!!

I learned it from my doctor last week that yes no news is good news. I had five tests with four vials of blood drawn last week and I didn't hear back from the doctor for a week. When I finally did he said they were all negative (other than the prolactin last week)!

One step closer to my bfp...I heard back from my OB today. He has ordered a blood test to check my progesterone levels after I O. He said if it is low or even normal he would supplement with progesterone. He wants me to come in between CD24-26 if I O like previous cycles between CD17-20th.

He didn't respond to my question about other tests including a SA for my hubby. I thought about e-mailing him back and asking for that too.

In my opinion, I think a good time for an SA is when AF starts...several reasons...you aren't going to be doing anything then anyways and if you get your bfp, you wouldn't have wasted the money on SA. But def get info from your dr on getting it done. You would hate to wait & then find out you need a referral & it taking forever. We had to get an order from my dr, but the wait time wasn't bad. Then I think a week for the test results to come back.

Oh almost forgot...make sure your husband has refreshed his boys before the test...but have about 3-5 days of abstinance between then & the test.

Got my blood results back. Beta was at 785, so definitely a little bean in there. My progesterone was at 17 and they want it at 20 so I got the ok to start the progesterone again, even though I had been taking one a day anyways. Going back on Friday to make sure everything is rising correctly. Here's to hoping it sticks!

Thanks beaglemom, that really does make sense. I wasn't thinking about him having to abstain for a few days! I guess I will hold off on requesting the SA and hopefully he won't need one.

Allison, great to hear! H&H 9 months! Hope to join you soon.

Also we finally looked at our insurance. It covers 80% of testing but does not cover procedures, etc. A little bummed we aren't covered but I figured we wouldn't be. I guess I need to start going to the chiropractor since that is fully covered...too bad I can't trade in credits for things I will never use!

Insurance is ridiculous. I submitted a claim for my 1st IUI & it is still in process. I have no idea if it will be covered or not. That was a month ago!

I invested in my health savings plan at work. It is a max of $2500 for the year. They take it out of my paycheck (pretax). So basically it is a tax benefit. I knew one way or another I would burn through it either with IUI, IVF, or actually having a baby. I can also use it on any medical supplies OTC...cough medicine, first aid, whatever...even pregnancy tests & opks.

While I am thankful for insurance I find it silly on what we actually have covered. We luckily don't get sick often so when I started going to see my GI specialist I was shocked at how much I have to pay for a quick 15 minute appointment. At least my insurance covers a lot of it but I should be able to deduct a late fee for every 10 minutes I have to wait! :)

I hate insurance. Maternity wasn't even covered on the plan I had before. It didn't cover anything. When it came to going to the dentist, thank goodness I brush my teeth regularly and never got any cavities bc my old plan only covered the old metal fillings that nobody uses anymore. Yeah, thanks insurance, for doing me no good whatsoever!! Luckily we were able to get on the insurance at my husbands work, so now I can get fillings and have a baby! Lol

I don't even know why any insurance company would not have maternity. The only thing I can see is you should be able to opt out to get a lower rate...maybe for younger women not planning on TTC for a while or older women no longer in the TTC age bracket.

Insurance is one of those necessary evils.

So my reading was delayed :( I am actually kind of ticked off about it. She said she had a lot of the 24 hour turn around options get purchased that she had to do. I understand they payed for something faster, but maybe you should turn that option off if you can't keep your other commitments. Also, she has been continuously advertising on FB...so yeh I guess you would get some extra business. I was told on March 1 my day was March 12. I don't think it is too much to ask to keep that date. I know one more day won't hurt...but still. Just annoying...but oh, well...not worth get upset over. She did offer me a question. So I will think on that to see what I want to ask her.

My dr office called me back...finally...and of course I had walked away from my desk. The day of & after my appt, I was carrying my phone around. I had just determined maybe I wasn't getting called back. So she left a message for me to call...UGH! I kind of think if it was no big deal, just say it on the message your blood work was fine. I am sure there is nothing to worry about & they only didn't say on the message because of privacy reasons.

Ok...rant over...anyone have any suggestions on questions I can ask the psychic? It would have to be something other than TTC because that should all be covered in my reading. I have had 4 straight nights of weird dreams...I was thinking of describing them to her.

That stinks that your reading was delayed, especially when you were told almost two weeks ago that it would be yesterday! Hope you get it early today. As far as a question...that is tough! Did your hubby have any ideas on what to ask?

Hope you are able to get in touch with your doctors office.

Not much new here...just patiently waiting to start opk testing. Debating if I want to start today on CD7 or wait another day or two. I had some random painful cramps yesterday and a repeat of AF for about 4 hours after I thought it was over early Tuesday morning. Nothing after 8pm last night so I am hoping she is gone and stays gone for the next 9 months! :)

I would maybe start testing now at least once a day around noon. Especially if you have some of the cheapo tests. Your cycles have been so random, you don't want to miss anything in case this month is a short cycle.

As far as the reading goes, I haven't even had a chance to tell him about it. I think I may ask about the dreams. I had some pretty significant symbols...one had snakes, another mice...another pregnancy dream this morning (during the snooze on my alarm). I was pregnant. Specifically 9 weeks. I was getting an ultrasound, but I wasn't in a dr office. Before the ultrasound, they took blood from both arms...then I woke up before the ultrasound. I don't know if 9 weeks was mentioned, but I just knew I was 9 weeks.

So since that other banker is leaving & it is up in the air if/when she will be replaced...it will just be me & the bossman again. So I figured I should tell him what was going on. We are a bank, so customer service is key & he really does not like the office to be empty. So if I have to be out when he is out, I want him to understand how important it is. So I told him & it was very nerve racking. He had a huge smile on his face (he has 2 boys at home he adores!). So he said he was really happy for us. I did not get very specific but basically said we need help & if my dr can't do it, I may need more help from a bigger city which means more time off. I knew he would be supportive of me. We have a great relationship. It's just, I don't talk about this with people. So it is hard for me to open up anyways. You guys know this is such a sensitive wound & you can easily be hurt by exposing it. That's why it is so important to be with you guys...to have the outlet...because I can say anything on here & feel supported.

I agree - I buy cheapies from ebay and I start testing around CD7-CD8 once a day until it gets getting darker then I increase to 2-3 times a day.

I'm so happy that your boss is very supportive and understanding, beaglemom! I didn't tell anyone at work and nothing about my miscarriage either - just that I was going through some medical issues and I needed to have surgery. Most of my other appointments take place at 8 in the morning so it hasn't been that big of a problem.

Blood work results indicate I did indeed ovulate. They did not mention anything else, so I assume the levels are where they need to be. Just one week to go...

But of course I am sure I will start testing earlier ;)

It seems like my opks are getting lighter. I'm starting to get worried but there has been no shift in temperature so I don't think I have O yet. I want it to hurry Up already!!
