march lambs 2010 come on ladies

is muslin like a receiving blanket type of thing? if so Zander loves to chew on his too. I use the receiving blankets as burp cloth type of things.
cocoa, what a funny post! I love it.
Blonde, those videos are adorable!

EJ loves his muslins hes leaning over my arm ( sitting on my knee facing outward ) with his muslin in his hands shoving it in his face right now lol

Flora does this all the time. She also likes to pull it up over her face and kick it up into the air.
PH - Yeah its a burp cloth made with fine weaved cotton so they are reallly absorbant and breathable. I thought a receivng blanket was the same as our cellular blankets (ie an actual blanket but with loads of little holes, like hospital blankets), but maybe not?

this is the kind of receiving blankets I have. It might be different in other states.
blankets
I have about 30 or 40 in all different patterns and colors. they're all for little boys. :) they're basically just thin blankets.

These are the muslins I've got. I've sewn 4 together to swaddle her in as it's sooo hot!

Blonde: Mika is so cute. He seems like such a happy little boy.

Cocoa: Love it! See this is why I don't let Charlotte around other babies, I don't want her getting any ideas. She sleeps and I sleep and I think we are both happy with this arrangement.

Speaking of sleep, Charlotte is napping right now, but the mailman just brought Sophie so I can't wait to see her reaction. My hubby actually brought in the package and grabbed the receipt. He was none too happy about how much I paid for a glorified dog toy. Husbands!

Also got the baby food book. The recipes that call for pureeing meat just sound gross.

OMG Roman has slept like ALL day! He had a feed at 540am, went back down for a nap at 730am til like 10am, then we did the school run and he slept in the sling whilst we did that so from like 1130am til 3pm (he hadnt fed since 10am!), he took 1oz and then lost interest and dozed on and off til 4pm when he took his 7oz! Then he had a bath, dropped off for like another 45mins and is awake now and I'll try and keep him that way til bedtime! He has only had 20oz of milk so far today so not sure whether to make his next bottle (which is usually his last of the day) up to 8/9oz and see what he takes, or maybe try and dream feed him at 1030pm - but last time I did that he woke up 3hrly again! oh teh confusion!

I also have about 30 receiving blankets because Connor loves to hold them and suck on them. I also use it a burp cloth for spit up and drool.

BnK- love the videos, he is so cute!

those videos r soo cute!!! :)
I have to really work to get ella laughing stil

Don't let the videos fool you! Typically it is almost impossible for one of us to make him laugh. He laughs like crazy every time he sees his grandpa, he laughs at the dog, he laughs at the swing, he laughs at the couch...but the minute OH or I try to make him chuckle he gets all serious! Although he found me scrubbing the kitchen table hilarious for some odd reason!

Zander's the same way. the strangest things make him laugh but forget it if DH or myself try to get him to laugh. Randomly we've made him laugh but it's rare. currently DH has gone 3 days making him laugh just by saying "what's up" like one of the WWE monday night raw characters says it. figure that one out

Next Wed the 14th Zander has to meet with a pediatric urologist. When he was born he had to have an ultrasound done to see if he had any testicles cause none of the doctors could feel them. (they were there) 2 months ago the right one dropped into the sac but the left is still way high up near his stomach. if it doesn't drop in 2 more months he'll need surgery to bring it down, otherwise he has higher risks of testicular cancers. wed is just a meeting for a urologist to tell me all that again.

I love the muslins!! I have 2 real big ones i could swaddle with (but we dont swaddle never really have, only wrapped with her arms out). 2 bigger ones and lots of little facecloth sized ones.
Heres Ella 6 days old not too impressed with being swaddled...

Yeah, I think muslins are pretty much just receiving blankets. We use them for burp rags becasue Mika spits up so much at a time, we have soaked through two at a feeding before. He also likes to chew on them and yell at them..weird kid, lol.

PH, hope Zander's appt goes well!

I got Mika to eat quite a bit of his peas tonight for dinner. I discovered that he will eat them off of my finger, or if he is holding the spoon (messy), but won't eat them if OH or I offer them from the spoon. I'm not quite sure why...but it works!

Peas on his forehead, lol.

Hey ladies...even though I have not written much lately, I am still reading and following the thread. I am glad to read that everyone is doing so well and I love seeing pictures of your gorgeous little ones.

Sam is doing great as well. Got his 4 months shots today, he is 13.14oz and 24 3/4 inches. A couple of days ago he started crawling!! Well not really, but what he does is dig his toes into the carpet and then push himself. He is still moving slow - but steady. He is rolling over both ways and loves to laugh and "talk" to us. Such an enjoyable little fella.

As for everything else, I am still doing pretty much everything on demand and go with the flow. Works best for us right now. For the near futuer however I would love to introduce more of a routine...slowly but surely.

We went on a little trip over the long weekend...it was fun...but the weather sucked! Attached a few pictures.

mummydee bumbo's are gr8 Chase loves his

julchen_79 glad Sam is doing good.Thats funny about him crawling, Chase tries to grip the carpet and pull himself along, cheeky boys!

Well we were supposed to go camping this morning but for the past two nights Chase has been a monkey, he's woken at 2.30, fed for 30 mins then after that he's cried and whinged for the next 2 hours until he's decided he will feed again then he's finally fallen asleep, so were going to see how he is tonight and if he sleeps ok we will go tomorrow and Sat. I wondered if he was teethin and he's like crying and its a funny cry like he is really sorry for himself and he is shoving his fists and anything in his mouth, plus the front of his t-shirt was covered in drool yesterday, the worst its ever been it was soaked, but then when you pick him up he is alright sometimes and stops it?? Don't know whats up with him he's never been like this?
