march lambs overdue thread

Hopeforamirac- congratulations!! Did you manage to avoid the induction then? I bet you're feeling such a mixture of emotions right now, must be lovely to see your friends so happy though. What a wonderful person you are! :hugs: :flower:

Dee - just think - we could be on our way in to be induced this time next week. I told OH that this could be the last weekend he works for a long time, depending on when they book the induction for. Seems surreal that our babies will definitely be here within 10 days!

As for me - feeling pretty much the same. Belly is a bit achey, but I'm starting to think it's just where she's so big now (I'm starting to panic that she's going to be huge...), still quite a bit more discharge but no bloody show or anything exciting. People keep telling me to go for a long walk, and I want to, I just can't muster up the enthusiasm or energy to go! I'm SO SO SO bored at home, but don't really want to go out either.

tis true, we could potentially be being induced this time next week... the end IS in sight, its just a bit far away still! I think your optimism at being in labour before tomorrow might have been slightly off tho - sorry! still got period pains and loads of pelvic pressure today but as I've been having it for 2 weeks I'm sure it means bugger all!

Its a shame you dont live walking distance from me Becki! I know I need to walk around more - am tempted to crack out a few squats or something later to see if that does anything, it may cripple me, but it may also bring his head down more or something!

4days an extremly fed up! i get texts every day asking if i am in labour an if i dont reply cause i am fed up with texts asking then they facebook me!! aaaggghhhh
got back ache an restless!!
fingers crossed babies start to turn up befor induction dates!!

I know wot u mean about the texts - it's soooo annoying. I get that people r excited but REALLY they don't have 2 ask me daily. I will report any news myself!!! Arrrgghhhhh. Imagine when u'r 11 days ova and it's still happening.... so irritating! Induction in less than 48 hrs. That'll shut them all up!!! Am i turning evil?!!!

aww i hope that baby turns up befor induction an i think you have every right to turn evil 11days over due go be hormonal its your right!! i have taken to switchin my phone off so that people with my hubbys number text or call him instead! he he he he

dee if your mates haven't been in contact then i wouldn't worry there will be more around the corner jus think of all the mum an baby groups that are around where you will meet loads of people!!

Well weirdly.... my OHs best mate just text him saying he thinks I'm going to go into labour tomorrow but wont have the baby until Monday. Apparently he can 'feel it in his waters' :haha: lol

I think I might get the Wii fit out and do some step on it while watching a film or something. Certainly more tempting than going out in public. I feel like everyone is staring at me
Plus it means I don't have to get dresssed........

be nice if we could feel it in OUR waters!!

under strict instructions not to have him til Tuesday now - FILs birthday! although my mum wants me to have him Monday so she can get out of going to some transport festival at chatham dockyard with my dad LOL!!

btw - still not dressed here either, been meaning to the last 2 hours.... ooops!

Dee - Flora was born on my MILs birthday! It was destined to happen. (Also april fool's day.. :dohh:)

Just wanted to say to everyone GOOD LUCK and COME ONE MARCH BABIES!!!! I will checking in to see how you're all getting on in between the chaos.
:dust: :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust:

Hope your all well and your babies decide to show up for you soon :hugs:

Well i gave birth yesterday at midday, 5 hour labour and just gas and air.
Cant tell you many details as most of you know she was a surrogate baby for my friends and they would prefer me not to post personal details of there precious long awaited daughter on a public forum , she was a healthy weight tho she was 9lb 3oz :)

huge congratulations to both you and your friends honey - am so pleased they have their healthy baby girl. and well done to you, think that is such an admirable thing to have done.

are you feeling okay after the induction? xx

I was actually booked for the 3rd to be induced but went into labour on the friday the 2nd at 7am naurally

I know wot u mean. I used to be so proud out & about with my bump but last couple of weeks (since i've been overdue really) I have felt so unsightly and ready to pop...and feel people r staring too. Plus weather has been so dire a long walk seems so unappealing. Am starting to wonder tho whether my slobbing around has encouraged baby to just remain too cosy in there... long naps, slouching etc. is that possible??

hi i am home with baby. went in to be induced on monday night and 15 mins after first gel application went into full labour.

Later gas and air go me through to waters breaking, expected baby within the hour and then nothing. had involuntary pushing which meant i was damaging my cervix so had epidural to take that sensation away.

Went on for another 8 hours and still no sign of baby. Doctor called and realised after internal that baby was not in birth canal or anywhere near, strange for 14 hours of labour!!!!

Said i had no choice had to have a C-Section so off we went. i have a narrow pelvis and baby could not get into the pelvis so would never have delievered naturally. as he was a grand size of 9Ib 8oz.

SO i have a lovely little boy called Hadyn and i love him to bits.

sending out lots of labour vibes :dust: to all the mummies still waiting,
Its been a long week for me getting over my own health issues and trying to get Elliott settled into a feeding and sleeping routine which has taken a while but hes getting better. and im coping better with having to be on deamnd for feeding him, hes hungrier than his big brother was and needs feeding more often than Nate did but thats also due to my milk not being as good this time round thanks to me being ill.

anyway you lot still have all the cracked nipples and screaming baby moments to look forward to so i'll encourage you to spend as much quality time with your OH's as possilbe and get in those sleeps whenever you can

Just been googling random things and am slightly worried now - LO is only 1/5 engaged and apparently that's quite rare at 40/41 weeks. Presumably that's why I'm not progressing very much and not feeling the 'pressure' that others keep talking about (Dee - your little man is fully engaged isn't he?)
Can't really expect to go into labour anytime soon if her head isn't pressing on my cervix can I? Eurgh! Being induced is looking more and more likely

some times babys dont engage til labour so dont give up jus yet hun!:hugs:

Thanks Hun. Everything just seems so dire at the moment. I know second babies are more likely to engage in labour, but first babies tend to engage weeks before. Also getting annoyed at everyone and everything - shouted at the cat earlier for snoring!

Off for a clary sage bath. Not that it will do anything. I'm getting to the point that Castor Oil is looking tempting!

enjoy your bath an step away from the caster oil!!

I'm getting that desperate too!! Literally poured in masses of clary sage oil in bath last nite that my whole flat landing smelt of it! lol. Did bugger all tho. Started getting v bad cramps in shower earlier - but they've gone now
SOOO frustrating. Anyway in 4 induction tmrw pm so the fun starts then!!! Bet i won't sleep a wink tonight. Good luck everyone...:hugs:

HATTIE80 - Let us know how the induction goes!

COCOAONE - This is my first and i arent even slightly engaged. My midwife actually said that it doesnt matter but i dont believe her. Im going be SOOO annoyed if they let me go the full 14 days over then induce me then I have to have a section cos his head is too big for my pelvis or something.

I'm soo fed up now.
& i'm home alone which makes it 10x worse

x

Oh Becki its frustrating hey - I dont know too much about the engagement thing other than my little man is around 3/5th to 4/5ths engaged - and mw said not expecting him to drop any more til labour..... but even with that he was engaged for a good week before my due date, and will be a week over tomorrow so that evidently doesnt mean a lot! just hoping my cervix is favourable for sweep tuesday!

Ive given up on the clary sage, it literally doesnt do anything for me, doesnt even bring on braxton hicks!

Well clary sage has done buggar all as usual. Bath depressed me even more as I found a fresh batch of stretch marks on my thighs and calf(?!?!?)

Feel so sorry for myself and there's potentially over a week to go. It feels like I'm spoiling the last time I've got with bump and I'm worried at how it'll make me feel when she finally does arrive, if that makes sense? I'm sure I'll be over the moon, but can't help feel that I'll just be relieved to get her out!

Hattie - good luck for tomorrow. Hope it's super speedy and as painles as possible :hugs:
