march lambs overdue thread

Arrrghhhh... just had 2 rant as I'm still awake!! baby's wriggling like mad keeping me up! Is any1 else fed up of constant txt messages from people saying things like 'Any news/ twinges/ what's happening'?? I know people r interested but I swear I've had at least 4 family members on my back since Monday (due date). It's nice 2 know they care but just rubs it in even more that he's not here yet and no signs so far. PS Good luck lynn - u must b climbing the walls!! xx

I know exactly what you mean. This is actually the most attention I've gotten during my whole pregnancy & yes just rubs in the fact that lo isn't here yet & I've no promising signs that she's coming. Fortunately I was able to give them an induction date today so hoping they'll stop asking (seeing as it was driving me bonkers ) now that they have a new target date.

I posted in the March Lambs thread about this yesterday! My mum has been calling every day since I started maternity leave at 38 weeks and she actually TOLD ME OFF yesterday cos Ive not had any twinges (that I've told her about!)

She TOLD me to go for lots of walks around the park which means walking there and back plus the 2 km around the park and it only has 1 group of benches which are all in the same area! She the TOLD me to walk up and down past the benches (right by the children's play area).

I spoke about it with my oldest brother afterwards and said that considering that I also joked with staff and students at work about not really being pregnant (had an easy pregnancy so they kept saying it's not a bump, it's a cushion!) and I was just going to stel a baby when I got to my due date, stalking a play area might not be good look for me!

morning ladies!! have had on and off period pains since last night and woke this morning with back ache. not started timing or anything, i think if i acknowledge it to much it maight all stop lol!!!

Fingers crossed for you! I am tried after getting up ages ago so DH could sleep! Hopefully having a sweep this afternoon and will ask about inductions too incase the sweep doesn't work!

ive just been sick feel very sorry for myself!! dh has sickness and the runs this morning so im wondering if it is all just a badly timed stomach bug???

Boo! I hope not!

If it is, I had one at 38 weeks and the mw said to drink lots of water and have things like vegetable or chicken noodle soup to keep liquid intake up.

boonies I had a touch of food poisoning at 38wks and stupidly let is get my hopes up! arghhhh!

I also had aggressive back ache, period pains and a few rather painful contractions at the pub last night but nothing at all regular and I slept all night, boohiss! Am adjusting my mind set now so that I am "due" at my membrane sweep on 6th April so if he shows up before that its just an added bonus.... everyone said that he will definitely be here before my sweep, but then everyone also guessed he will be early and so far thats proving very wrong!

I think Lynn is going to be right now and he will arrive on April fools day!

I hope for your sake Dee that im wrong,

Im still here and pregnant, i went to bed at 10 last night and cried for about an hour and woke up at 7 this morning and cried for an hour more and now DH is dealing with DS whos unwell and refusing to eat and hes crying ( ds not dh ) and thats making me cry too

my hormones are going mad and this baby isnt even born yet, no sign of it coming as of yet either although im seeing the midwife at 11.15 for a sweep ( if im favorable ) and if not im going to push for induction asap caus now ive started to really crack emotionally i just need this over with

Dee- my mum was due on the 28th(her bday) with my sister and had her on 1st April. It's my sisters 18th this year so she said as much as she wants to meet her niece, she'll kill me if I steal her thunder and have LO on the 1st!!

MW today- not expecting any changes or anything,, will probably be the most boring appointment so far!

I'd much rather this little man showed up on 1st April than making me wait til 6th for a sweep! on another note, found a new stretch mark this morning and it itches like hell and is really sore, grrr!!

update on me!!!

any signs of going into labour have firmly GONE!!! i went for a two hour walk up the hills near my parents with my dad and dogs (left poor hubby suffering in his pit) and it seems to have got rid of any glimmer of hope for me having bubs today !!!
However im feeling really positive that she will be born at some point, one day in the (hopefully) near future or atleast before 5th april!!

so im gonna go get some nipple stimulation done , some ball bouncing on, and get my hubby fighting fit again!!!!!

no sweep for me, she could just reach my cervix ( why do i get the short fingered mw's ) but baby is more engaged than last week which is good although that can change on a hourly at least a daily basis, walked round tesco after and got some crampy feelings and baby seems to have sunk lower since,
Induction booked for Friday just waiting on a time.
