March Mamas 2012 Baby Group (Closed Group)

Vitfa, from everything I've seen/heard/read, when your supply is good and feeds are regular, your boobs can be soft.

How is she after a feed? When she pulls away, can you still squeeze out any milk?

Probably regulated Vitfa. I think I said this earlier in the thread but my boobs have felt soft for about 2 months now. I rarely ever feel even close to engorged and I pretty much never leak. My supply is definitely good though, I can still pump 2-3 oz after feeding her.

Eating every two hours during the day at around 16 weeks--anybody else's baby do this?

Today was another rough day. I think part of it is having my mom around... It throws off the rhythm.

I'm going to go ahead and assume this is the 4 month regression for the both of us City.

Hey Mouse, Skadi
Yes, E started feeding more frequently, fussing, not finding it easy to nap, eating more at night, random crying. Figured it was the 4 month thing. It peaked around 17 weeks and has gotten better by today's 19 weeks. Still struggling to nap again though.

lovely photo msC!

waula - some christenings are like that especially if they are part of a normal sunday service (im not a fan personally). R's christening was a personal 'guests only' service and much more like a wedding if you know what i mean.

and..... My sil gave birth yesterday to a little girl a week early. she woke her husband at 6am with labour pains, baby delivered by hubby at 6.40 before midwife/ambulance could arrive!!! lol. all is well with them both and the first little girl in the family.

Definitely had/having the regression thing here. Poor sleeping daytime and nights. Feeding up the creek too! Seems to be improving slowly now, so fingers crossed we are on the way out!

Meant to say, love the piccie MsC! :)

Cuppie, wow, congratulations to your SIL, and to you for being an Auntie!! Her labour sounds very familiar! :haha: Her hubbie can be all smug now! :)

Not the best night here  think we'll have another day in the garden today! :)

Oh, and Vitfa, engorgement just means your supply will reduce (unless you suffer from oversupply) so if your boobs are soft it means its stable. If she's happy and satisfied after a feed, then your supply is likely just fine. F she's fussing and hungry after a feed, you may have low supply. :hugs: Sounds like you are doing great with the switch. :hugs:

Morning everyone!!
Cuppie that's what I thought it was going to be like...but more personal...
Vitfa sure it's just your supply regulating itself, echo what the other lads said...remember Mitch saying M got fussy at breast quite soon as she thought her supply dropped off quite quickly... I'm still really engorged in a morning as N doing a 7hr stretch now  but thankfully he wants two feeds an hour apart so that sorts it out...defo not out of leaking territory here though!!
Sorry for all you sleepy mommas...it will pass I promise. :hugs:
Mitch nice weather for a centre park week!! have a fab time! X
Off swimming this morning then got a friend coming over with her 6mo and the paddling pool is coming out! Love this weather!
Right well N been asleep for an hour on sheepskin and I've managed to clean and sort the house... Now for a cuppa in the sunshine!
Enjoy your days lads!
Xx

7 hrs! Wowee Waula. That's lush.

Congrats cuppie. I'd like that for my next one please.

Morning, lads. Don't take this the wrong way, but it does my heart good to come on here and read about all the regressing/sleepless babies. It makes me feel like I'm not alone. :hugs:

For the past three nights, the boys have been waking up earlier and earlier. For awhile, they were sleeping from 7 to 4ish and then 4-7 (or whenever I woke them up), but now we're doing good to make it until 2. And they keep getting up for a second time at 5:30ish. On a positive note... I don't need an alarm clock, and since I was awake, I managed to go for a little run this morning while they dozed in bed with daddy.

Mouse- My DH is very much like yours. He loves the babies, and has moments of genuine affection and bonding... but there are still those moments where I know he wishes he had the freedom not to have to bother with them at all. Naturally, those moments tend to show up most when they're fussy. And, yes, it feels unfair to me too. It's not like I just looooovvveee to change poopy diapers or calm cranky babies. But I do it because I love them and because they can't do it for themselves. I guess the difference between me and DH is that don't resent the babies for being babies.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am so annoyed/upset/depressed

the people selling the house i want have pulled out. i just dont know what to do. they have sadly received bad health news (guessing cancer? or something?) and no longer want to move house.

i have written them a lovely letter explaining how we wanted to make it our forever home and we could move at a pace to suit them. i dont suppose it will make any difference but im hoping.

afternoon everyone!

been trying to get on here since yesterday AM :haha:

Loving all the wedding photos / stories etc... our wedding was the best day of my life. (Having George was the best single moment of my life though) It was just perfect.

emera - im so sorry about your wedding photos - thats heart breaking. But im so glad that u at least have some to look back on.

Mitch - perfect centre parcs weather.... have super fun!

baby regression - ive not *really* noticed it with G if im honest. He is defo fussier.... but naps / feeds / sleeps ok still. so far anyway. I hope all the babies suffering are back to their normal selves soon :hugs:

we went for a walk around our town this morning and we ended up walking for 2 hours! Im probably burnt and just havent noticed yet.... its so hot! Ive got zumba tonight too so will prob die of exhaustion. :haha:

Oh, his babymoov UV tent arrived today - we ordered it for our holiday but having it for this weather too is super! Its great :)

so my food porn for today.... tonights dinner is:

Goats Cheese and roasted Tomato tart with olive and sweet pepper salad... lush :winkwink:

oh cuppie - im so sorry hunni :hugs:

youve done all you can..... i hope it works out for you - either way.

are there ANY other houses that you also love? :(

FT - no. im in such a bad mood. I have just had a look online and there are none i would even look around. im so frustrated.

yesterday i was looking at new kitchens and now i've not even got a house to move to.

im so sorry hunni xxx

see if they reply to your letter ... but i guess u know that unfortunately if its health problems which are serious then moving is prob the last thing they will want to do.

im gutted for you hun, just hope something turns up xxx

Oh no, Cuppie. That's so sad. :( I hope something works out -- either they appreciate your letter and decide to sell (maybe a bit slower) or you'll find something that's even more amazing so that it turns out to be a blessing.

Out of curiosity... how do the legalities work after you've entered the contract? Do they pay a penalty for backing out?

P.S. FT... the food porn sounds lush. Mmmm.
