Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

He feeds every three hours, and takes two ounces, but has times where he will only go two hours, and then like last night where he then wanted to skip a feed completely. I'm not really sure how much he should take, but if we curl up on the sofa after a feed he always falls asleep happily.

Sounds like George is doing great. :D xx

Sounds like he has a good routine going too :)

Has Sam been weighed since he was born? When is his heal test?

He was only weight when he was born, and MW coming to weigh him tomorrow and for the heel prick - I can't wait to find out how much he has gained, as with all this eating, he can't possibly have lost any!! :p

When is George next weighed/heel prick? xx

Dont be alarmed if he has lost hun, its totally normal and expected :hugs: George lost about 6ozs at his weighing yesterday. He is in clinic tomorrow for his heel prick, not sure if they'll weigh him too.

New we stil feed around every 2 hours during the day sometimes more often but she does go 3-4 hours during the night. Sounds like George is joining the farty babies club:haha: Cant remember if I said on the other thread or not but :cloud9: at your OH, he sounds lovely hun.

24/7 good luck for the weigh in and heel test!

Wiggler hows the OH now? Sorry about not seeing your mum, whats up with the cats hun?

Apparently the dishwasher had some noodles and a straw stuck in it

Both boys can get cross together over their heel pricks tomorrow then. :p
Does George fit in newborn clothes new? I don't know why, but he looks really long compared to Sam. xx

He fits into some newborn sleep suits, but most brands not lol He is wearing newborn open foot rompers with socks but they only just fitting lolol Next up to 1 month is best fit, but we only have 4 sleepsuits that size so need to get to Bangor to buy more that size lol Hoping they'll take all the newborn stuff in exchange still got tags on lol He is very long though, might try measuring him while he is settled lol

lol does that mean the dishwasher is fixed now hun?? lolol George was a trooper trumpy bum but he got so grizzly last night when he couldnt, but he seems to be breaking it all up better tonight so hope it stays this way :)

Thankfully its useable but waiting for a part, lol isnt that always the case?!

Glad George has moved his wind, they always get so uncomfy when it gets stuck.

24/7, how long is Sam? Eilidh is 18 1/2in and was 16in born:flower:

I just measured him he is 21 and a quater inch, 54cm, same as his birth length almost, he was 53.5cm at birth!

Aww, I hope the boys are OK with their heel prick tests, my MW said the "stabbers" (Vile name, I know) are much better designed now and hurt a lot less, Bethany didn't even wake up when hers was done.

OH is fine at the moment, still in pain though. he is doing the washing up atm.
The cats are all dripping from both ends. My mum thinks its partly from where she had to buy them cheaper food this month (Most of them have digestive issues and are on specialist food and it costs hundreds to feed them each month, she is a bit strapped so had to get a different brand this month) and partly from where she found a few of them playing with a manky dead bird in her garden  If they are better next week we will be going down then :)

Bethany doesn't feed for very long when I feed her, it averages at about 20 mins, and half the time won't take both breasts despite my efforts to wake her up. She is getting weighed tomorrow so fingers crossed she has put weight on, she normally goes anywhere between 30 mins - 3 hours between feeds. Lots of wet and dirty nappies though so I know she is getting lots.

Sam is 50cm. :D And his head was 35cm. :D
He still fits into next newborn thankfully, and some M&P tiny baby, but the M&P won't fit for long, but the next still have quite alot of room. xx

George's nappies are wetter now, I think his foreskin must be opening by itself, and he doesnt squeal as loud when he needs a pee! George will take both breasts occassionally but usually feeds for 30 minutes then is sooo sleepy he winds and wont go back on to the other, so Im just switching sides each feed so its still even lol

Awwww George has a mothercare newborn on just now for bed and it fits just perfect in the length, so wont last long lol but other MC stuff doesnt fit in newborn, nor the cheaper brands nor Next yikes lol oh Asda first size doesnt either pmsl, me thinks I should have skipped new born in my spending spree

Bethany is impossible to wind, she used to just burp on the boob but she won't even do that now :dohh: My little lady is hard work sometimes :haha: Dylan used to burp and fart at the slightest thing, revolting little guy

Mothercare newborn is gigantic next to Sam. :p Funny how they can be so similar in size yet everything fits differently!! xx

Lol Eilidh will take both sides at least once:wacko: I put it down to catching up..

Wiggler  at the cats, I'd steer clear till they better as well! Eilidh will do a huge belch as she's moved from one side to the other:haha:

New, what happened to the teeny tiny baby you were meant to have? Make consultant reimburse you the small clothes:haha:

I'm suddenly grateful I didn't find out the grander when I was pregnant and run out to buy loads of pink newborn stuff :haha:

I have a coldsore, not being able to smother Bethany in kisses is killing me

I do chuckle at Georges feet, I have never seen a newborn fit in socks or the feet of sleepsuits, but his feet just about fit int he feet sections, and socks fit perfectly lol He has large hands and long fingers too lol no idea where he gets it from lol

New, what happened to the teeny tiny baby you were meant to have? Make consultant reimburse you the small clothes:haha:

lol yes I should!! I cant believe how many times they insisted he was going to be small, and how I was starving him with my poor eating blah blah blah.. seems my community MW was right and knows so much better than the doctors lol

It certainly does seem like the mw got it right! All that panic you got as well:nope:

Wiggler, get zovirax on it and nail varnish remover if you're feeling brave! I had a coldsore while Eiidh was in NICU and it got rid of it much faster but really really hurt. it sucks:hugs:
