Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

 I knew that, but I couldnt fit a bag of frozen peas in my bra and its hammock size cant imagine how you'd get a full bag in there lol hence i said put them in a bag of some kind lol

Hell no! I will not do anything cold. I suffer from vasospasms where I don't have any blood flow to the nipple after a feeding. It can last anywhere from a few minutes to hours, and cold makes it worse.

I'm not sure how long it's going to last but hopefully not long. I don't want to keep using my freezer stash to feed Anberlin.

I had visions of you thinking I'd be sitting here with a selection of vegetables in my bra in attempt to see if any work!! The tiredness is clearly getting to me. :p xx

Those spiders would freak me right out:hugs:

Brandi, have you got antibiotics yet? I had mastitis week 2 after Eilidh and within a couple of days I felt much better:thumbup: Watch out in case it develops into an abscess.

New, you'd know if you got mastitis, you feel like death, fevery, and flu like and your boob gets like a red wedge shape in the problem area, best thing you can do is feed more on that side and get antibiotics.

24/7, I had bilateral mastitis 6m after my son and the doc offered a drug to help dry my milk, I believe it was a diuretic, might be worth an ask? Till then, lots painkillers, cold/hot compress and time:hugs:

 you could make a soup or stew when you done in that case lol

Hope it clears up quickly for you Brandi :flower:

Thanks girls - Will give it a try. :hugs:

Wiggler, my appertite has completely gone since Sam arrived, so I am following you. :p I am losing all my baby weight too quickly and look super skinny again. :( xx

mummy my MW took a look at the lump, confirmed it was an inflamed milk gland but said to massage it and it would hopefully go down. She said she'll take a look at it again tomorrow. It is going down, and I can now raise and lower my arm painlessly so must be getting better :)

When I went to bed last night, my breast felt terribly bruised, like someone smashed it with a two by four too many times. I also had a red welt on the outside about5cm in diameter. The heat was on in the house at 78 degrees and while everyone else was sweating, I was shivering under a thick blanket. Then there's the fatigue and the headache...this friggin sucks

Sounds like its improving new:thumbup: When I had the mastitis after Eilidh I had everything but a lump in boob:wacko: I had fever, redness etc but no blocked duct, weird!

24/7, is hard to make time to eat with al the new stuff going on, I hope your appetite returns for you:hugs:

Ummm, Once is too many???!!!

Will pass on the frozen peas :cold: I already have to sit here with my tits hanging out (thrush issues) and have the heat cranked up!

I only pumped and bottle fed all day yesterday to give my poor nipples a break- and now am having the hardest time getting Charlotte back to breast- also, even though I pumped it's like I'm all backed up and engorged - am trying desperately to get them to nurse more (and pumping) to try to get ahead of it so that I can avoid this mastitis thing if at all possible..

heyy:hugs: hope little charlotte gets the hang of it again.

Holy crap! But, she should even been here yet! And I thought Anberlin rolling at 10 days old was early!

Damn this ping pong ball sized clog. There's got to be at least another 2oz in there. GET OUT!

Awww my little man is so so tired. He had fallen asleep 5 minutes ago, but is awake again. He has been up since 3am with awful tummy ache :( It'll start to break up during the day and he'll become all content again but for some reason he cant break the wind up at night time :(

Aww poor George - Sam is definately the most unsettled at night too, and still hasn't settled after his 7 feed. xx
