Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Yea he went straight to sleep which is really unlike him. Aww bless Joshua, thats too cute!!!

You should try to take it easy, my ladybits have only just stopped feeling like I have been repeatedly kicked, I'm sure that will change tomorrow after a long walk to the hospital and back for Bethanys hearing test.

Tonight should be fun, I only have 2 breast pads left and I'm not letting OH cycle all the way to tesco to get more, he is still poorly so going to be a soggy night tonight. the 2 I have left have to be saved until tomorrow morning so we can pop in Mothercare on the way to the hospital.

Mine are only leaking the very minimum and its really not noticable lol

How come bethany is only just having her hearing test?

Do you have baby facecloths, Wiggler? Fold them twice into squares and place two or three in your bra. It's not a perfect solution, but it helps and you'll be less wet.

Thats how they do it down here, you pop out baby and a week later they send you an appointment through.

Mine leak like a waterfall lol, my poor clothes!!!

Oooh Philip Schofield :cloud9: he is gorgeous!

wow thats an odd way, Joshua and George were both done within hours of being born (2 different counties)! No back and forth all done before you go.

For the first time I got mine out earlier and stimulated milk flow without doing anything, that was weird lol but they dont leak or anything, although they stinging just now might put a gel pad on them.

I wouldnt say no to Phil lolol

I went to change my pads earlier cos they felt wet, as always and noticed that my boob was spraying like a water pistol

if Im not leaking will I be producing enough? maybe George is working too hard to get the milk out thats why he has this winding problem??

Lots of women don't leak hun. Bethany refuses to feed from both breasts each feed which is why I think I leak so much.

Bethany is going to have her first bottle in a minute  We are going to be out for a while tomorrow so she will probably need a bottle and I still don't feel comfortable nursing in public so going to see if she will take a bottle, if she won't take a bottle we will be rushing to Mothercare, lol. I'm really upset about it, stupid low confidence :( Not going to make a habit of it though, I don't want her getting nipple confusion

I dont feed from both breasts each feed either. He only averages 30 minutes and if I swopped sides half way he'd get lots of fore milk and no hind milk I just switch boobs each feed and alternate them, as best as i can remember anyways lol The last one used tends to be the most tender one to touch so keeps me reminded lol

She is glugging the bottle, I'm glad she will drink from it, but wish I didn't feel as if I needed to express to feed her when we are out and about

Im glad she is taking her bottle hun, Im sure your confidence to feed out and about will increase over time :hugs:

New - Have a rest tomorrow. :hugs: xx

Glad Bethany is taking the bottle for you wiggler. xx

She just glugged 2 1/2oz from a 3 1/2oz bottle. little piggy :haha:

Oh the good ol nipple confusion argument. Hun, it doesn't exist. The extremely-pro-breastfeeders like to throw that out there to "encourage" (read: scaremonger) women into breast and breast only. I'm on my second breastfed child and both had bottles of expressed milk and had pacifiers from very early on and never had latching issues or nipple confusion. There might be frustration because getting milk from a bottle is easier than from a breast, but nipple confusion does not actually exist.

I've been sitting on my couch for an hour now with Anberlin on the same breast and she's still eating. I've had 3 letdowns. She'll pull off and scream and then start to root for more. This wastes so much time in my day. I really hope her suck becomes more efficient. Unfortunately, I'm not talented enough to nurse and fold laundry at the same time.

OH is here tomorrow Im going to enjoy snuggling on the sofa with him and doing little else, think I need it :)

Sounds like Sam.... All he wants is milk. :p xx

Thats what I like to hear new. :D xx

My BF multitasking is limited to BF and drinking water/eating and BF and typing (badly)

I hope her suck becomes more efficient soon :hugs:
