Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

The one Ruaridh goes to is a school district one run vis early intervention, the state covers it if they are eligible after testing. We went through a screening session which was with a teacher then a meeting and more testing with several different specialists and he had his dx and report so its very very indepth. If Milo is eligible it will be covered though hun, we dont even have medicaid and its covered! There are some 'normal' kids in the class used as peer models and they have to pay a lower fee to regular preschool, maybe her kid is one of them?

i know he's not "normal". he has SPD. but i think that's all  yay, more indepth testing

If he doesnt have his gall bladder removed does he need to be on this diet for life? and what about if he does have it removed, will he still have to be on a strict diet? or meds?

Dylan has been awful, a new HUGE bruise on his head from headbutting the floor at nursery (another child took a toy of him) tantruming all evening cos once he had eating all the pasta and left the rest he wanted toast and I said no. He is getting violent towards us again and today he started throwing things which is totally new :(

its very likely he'll have to watch what he eats if its not removed (and if its removed). they said mine was enlarged and would need taken out eventually

He is so depressed at the thought of this diet, he likes the food, but his favourite stuff is fry ups, and greasy take aways, roast tatties cooked in the tray with the chicken so they get all chickeny from the fat and he can't have it anymore. He didn't have that sort of stuff often, but if he wanted it he could, he hates that the option has been taken away from him :(

Milo's maybe his SPD isn't severe enough for the programme? Lol yes more indepth testing:dohh: Its a really great programe though!

Wiggler, yeah defo low fat if its a gallbladder issue until he gets the surgery then I'm told its ok to have a regular diet unless you're one of the unlucky ones who get bad diarrhoea:nope:

Sorry Dylans acting out so much hun :(:hugs:

If he has surgery then when he is recovered the first thing I am treating him to is a big greasy fry up. I'm currently looking to see if he is going to be OK with turkey bacon grilled then all the fat blotted off, I want to be able to treat him :(

greasy/fatty foods only upset my stomach and gave me pains or the runs (common side effect after surgery) for the first few months. but that's seemed to slowly go away  so he might not need this diet forever

that's what i was thinking too. i'm sure they aren't going to offer free pre-school to every kid with a little problem  in May i'm hoping they mention the pre-school (or me mention it at the appt).

I think OH would be OK with the runs rather than this :haha:

At least he doesnt have my diet!

Sam is fine thanks mummy, not sleeping atall though which is very hard with work, Gah! xx

The runs :argh:

Milos, yeah its really really hard to get on the programme because they only have so much funding:shrug: At the screening assessment Ruaridh went to first it was packed with parents desperate to get their kids in and from what I'm told its because its free childcare:nope: So they're really strict! They give a general assessment first with questions given to the child to see what their knowledge is like, they test their co ordination and physical skills as well as fine motor and give a score, if your child is below the score they go to the next round where you meet with the specialists:thumbup: It was hard work!:hugs:

24:hugs: Is his cough still keeping him up? Hope works getting easier:hugs:

I have the runs every day, I would much rather that than pain

24- hope Sam starts sleeping for you :hugs:

mummy- sounds like the same process over and over  who mentioned the program to you guys for Ruaridh? that's the same process i've done 2 or 3 times now with Milo :dohh: minus the asking the child questions part, since he cant answer :haha:

FINALLY got Ava down for her last nap. she has been fighting her sleep so hard lately :?

Milos, yeah its very much the same thing over and over! Ruaridhs developmental pediatrician told us about it and gave me the info to get to a screening day:thumbup:

Harvey:nope: Go back out and get buttons!!! Cant wait to see his prints:cloud9: How's his batteries? You're not having tea all week?:shrug:

Kids back now and hopefully napping:thumbup:

Your such a bad influence mummy:growlmad: but I might :winkwink::haha:

Aarons batteries ran out 10 minutes ago :happydance: but hubby keeps forgetting to put his sleeping bag on :grr: so he now has to try and get it on without waking him

I normally just grab a sarnie, crumpets or cheese toasty, but when hubby's at home we have proper home cooking I.e. Dinners, lasagne, casserole etc

Did the kids nap?

wiggler he has a choice, crap food or less pain - if he was in that much pain he will not miss the food, seriously. If you want to treat him then dont cook fatty foods! its boring maybe, but until you have felt gallbladder pain you will never understand and trust me bland is by far the preferred option!

24 :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Anyone celebrating Lent? As of tomorrow I am on a no junk food diet  and Joshua has decided to give up take aways! So looks like I'll be a slinky size 12/10 in 40 days and nights!! lol

Mummy how was Freja's first day? are you feeling any better hun?

Harvey good luck on the buttons hun  Ermmm I cant iron tomorrow as I am working all day lol... I will get onto it though! lol I have caught up with my laundry, at long last!!!! 1 load of towels to do thats it :happydance: I havent had an empty laundry basket since Christmas there has always been something to do - especially as my machine was broke for 6 weeks and still isnt perfect lol

mummy- we see the DP again on May 8th. i'll try to remember to ask

harvey- glad Aaron's batteries ran out. good luck to your OH :haha:
