Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Wiggler:hugs: Whens he seeing the HV hun? He really needs to be properly assessed, :growlmad: at banging their ceiling, no way is that going to help anything!! Did they come and speak to you?

Harvey, thankyou hun:hugs: Never thought of walmart but they do do everything there:thumbup: How's your day going hun? Do you get your blood results today?

Frejas first day at new school today:happydance: I still got no voice so today is probably shot to hell already:wacko:

Hope Freja has a lovely day at her new school hun :hugs: Joshua sends his love to her!!

Cute party themes ladies

Wiggler a scan might not give 100% diagnosis hun! If he only has a few stones then they may not be visable, if the gallbladder is swollen it may appear normal, if the sonographe is crap they may not find the stones etc etc lots of reasons it may be a long trial and error game until you get a proper diagnosis. Definitely adopt a low fat diet, and some people are different, like my mum could eat so little, ham was a huge no go but she could manage mince meat  I struggled with almost every food type :haha: Milk is supposed to ease it, but I found it just knocked me more sick! I would stay clear of cheese, though really low fat soft cheese should be ok. keeps meal portions small, over stuffing yourself causes a surge in bile so over active gallbladder, and also not eating causes excess bile and results in an attack. As for pain, mine was constant, but then would get worse and worse, then ease off after a couple of hours. Gross but making myself be sick helped a bit, although when I had the escaped stones I got to a point nothing helped :haha:  woops (i know i know me bad! lol) If he is going to have pasta/bread/potatoes etc make sure its a very tiny portion and extra veg to bulk it a little if needs be! White meat is a lot lower in fat than red meat also! And Pizza is high fat!!! :haha:

I hope the HV can help, when do you see her?

Okies I got a baby hanging off my foot, and a bigger child demanding pancakes lol I should go play mum for a bit lol

HV is on monday, it can't come fast enough. I want my happy boy back.

Me and OH did a super low fat meal plan earlier, I priced it all up on the Tesco website and OMG, how bloody much! :nope: I told OH he has to help me pay for the shopping now, cos this is going to cost us an arm and a leg  I need good meal ideas though, or we are going to be eating salad twice a day for the forseeable future! We decided to cut meat out apart from Sundays to keep costs down, OH is heartbroken, but this should help me get a bit more creative in the kitchen :D

hope frejas has a lovely first day at school!

I won't know about blood results until I ring for a repeat prescription next week

We went to baby social this morning at 9.15am. Aaron got stripped down to his nappy and done his daddy a footprint and handprint poster:cloud9: and mammy was covered in as much paint:wacko: (i will not be doing painting in the house with Aaron until he's at keast 2!!), then he got a bath then we sang songs, he really enjoyed it:happydance:

MIL just left, she popped up unannounced:growlmad: but wasn't too bad, except she let Aaron fall off the settee:shrug: she forgot he was on the settee next to her :dohh: I was standing up and just broke his fall (he's fine tho)

Hubby's on a course today so should be in any minute, I can't wait as I'm starving, we are having steak n chips/potatoes (I'd love it with cream sauce but haven't got any)

Aaron is  so no doubt be awake till about 11pmish again, shouldn't complain as he sleeps till 7amish:cloud9:

hun, i lived on chicken and lettuce because i was so scared to eat anything else! You can make meat go a long way though hun, if you eat stuff you dont enjoy he is more likely to bing eat while out... although if he does have gallstones he will one day regret that! corned beef, pastry - stay away from those, ermmm cheese as already said, think i ate jacket potato mostly (only a 1/4 at a time!) i didnt eat pasta because the sauces are a no go, but a tin of toms on it would be ok.

What about turkey? I'm sure it's low fat and not expensive at this time of year:shrug:

We enjoy healthy food, but I am struggling coming up with healthy salad dressings. Dinner tonight was pasta with chopped tomatoes, cucumber, green pepper and chicken on a bed of leafy green veg and shredded beetroot. It was nice but really could have used some dressing. Lunch tomorrow is the same as I made too much :haha: and dinner tomorrow is smoked coley and salad.

I'm going to lose so much wieght :happydance:

wiggler- :hugs:

mummy- hope Freja has a nice day at school :flower:

harvey- glad that you had a nice morning. good thing you broke Aaron's fall! i tried letting Milo finger paint with magic wonder colors, he didn't wanna have anything to do with it :nope:

Milo slept from 10-5:30. i guess it's not too bad. except the fact that i knew he didn't really wanna wake up, and i had been up since 5 when OH's alarm went off for work. plus he had playgroup at 9:30 so i knew he'd be overly tired for that. almost got him back to sleep at 7:30 but Ava was awake and being too loud :dohh: he's normal meltdown free at playgroup, but today he was being a total turd! :growlmad:

wiggler, do you like vinaigrette? i'm sure if you used just a tiny bit it wont hinder the weight loss part.

Mmmm I totally forgot about that for a dressing, just looked up the nutritional info on extra virgin olive oil and its maily good fats that won't hurt OH's gallbladder (monounsaturated)!!! :happydance:

Now to find some delish recipes :cloud9:

Other gallbladder friendly meal ideas? I am going to get so sick of salad. OH won't eat soup so thats out, also need alternatives to bread (would pittas be OK?) We are all going on the gallbladder diet (the kids will be having higher fat healthy stuff though as they need it) as OH needs all the support he can get.

Milos:hugs: its 100x worse when they're tired! Ruaridh absolutely hates messy play but the special ed preschool is really helping with that, will Milo get to go at 3? Its an amazing help!! Did you go shopping?

Harvey, eek! glad you caught him in time! How'd she forget he was next to her? Bet his hand and foot print are lovely:cloud9: Mmmmmm steak, I love a creamy mushroom sauce on mine! Did you get buttons?

Wiggler whats coley? Yummy sounding food there!

New, brilliant advice re gallstones:thumbup: Hows little man today? Hope you're enjoying pancake day:winkwink:

I'm enjoying an hour child free:happydance: Hubbys come home for lunch and taken all 3 LO's and dog for a walk:cloud9: Sooooo glad to only be 5mins from his work!

Erm tbh there's not terribly much that wont set it off at some point so try not to get disheartened if he still gets attacks:flower: Best to get it out:hugs: I could get an attack from a salad as easily as a doughnut:wacko:

wiggler- unfortunately like Mummy said, anything can set it off. before my surgery, any food no matter how healthy or unhealthy would give me attacks. that was because my bile duct was blocked. so when i ate it couldn't let the bile out (causing the pain). i had HUGE attacks after Milo was born. i got a scan at the ER and they said it wasnt my GB :dohh: hope his scan is successful in finding the problem though.

mummy- they have mentioned special ed pre-school for this upcoming school year. i was talking to my mom today and she was telling me about my sister's friend's son who goes to a special ed school and it cost them 4k a year  supposedly their Medicaid doesn't cover it  i really hope that's not gonna be the situation for us. because there's no way we'd be able to afford that :nope: OH is still at work, he has some cleaning up to do when he gets home! might go shopping after  how is Eilidh doing today?

The one Ruaridh goes to is a school district one run vis early intervention, the state covers it if they are eligible after testing. We went through a screening session which was with a teacher then a meeting and more testing with several different specialists and he had his dx and report so its very very indepth. If Milo is eligible it will be covered though hun, we dont even have medicaid and its covered! There are some 'normal' kids in the class used as peer models and they have to pay a lower fee to regular preschool, maybe her kid is one of them?

She's 75ish, so that might have something to do with it:shrug:

I'll put a pic of his hand n foot prints on soon, his feet look even bigger lol

Creamy mushroom sauce mmmmm that's what I had with my chicken on Saturday :cloud9:

I resisted getting my buttons  killed me though:winkwink: I'm going to try and not eat as much chocs, as I really need to lose a stone but the more I deny myself something the more I crave it:wacko:

Hope you enjoyed your child free time :coffee:

My steak tea was nice! Now hubby's on late shifts the rest of the week that was my last supper till next week. Me mam comes tomorrow and she loves egg n chips as she doesn't have a fryer at hers. I'm sure me mam had her gall ladder out, I'll ask tomorrow, she still had the occasional fatty meal:winkwink:

They said it isn't gallstones (the scan is for 100% diagnosis of that, and the diet is a just in case) they said his gallbladder is infected, they said if it is an infection they will be removing it.

Oh I thought the stones (or stone, I only had 1!) were what caused the infection by blocking the bile duct? Either way, low fat diet!:hugs: Really hope he gets answers, sounds like he's really suffering :( Hows Dylan now hun? Better mood for you I hope:hugs:

Harvey:nope: Go back out and get buttons!!! Cant wait to see his prints:cloud9: How's his batteries? You're not having tea all week?:shrug:

Kids back now and hopefully napping:thumbup:
