Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

its coming way too fast hun!! Im torn what Im doing for george's birthday, I think my mum wants me to go back there and then do something witht he family, but I have really good friends here who have been there for us way more than my siblings have so I thought about doing something here... I cant do 3 parties

You may have to lol and your mam seems to be there for you too, so if I were you I'd go to your mams for your mams sake not siblings:flower:

mam is there for us she has been awesome, I dont want to upset her, Id rather she come here and celebrate with my friends here so I have everyone around us, but Im going to have to do 3 parties arent I??? :dohh:

How do you make the colorful stuff to go a cake that isn't icing? Say if I wanted to make a cake that was shaped and decorated like a present? x x x

Oh just realised, how do you cook gammon steaks? We are meant to be having them for dinner :haha: Seriously I can make loads of food but the simple stuff is so hard for me :haha:

What colourful stuff that isnt icing hun?

To make it present shaped I would use square tins (you can hire these from balloon shops) make it like a victoria sponge and add a filling (buttercream is lush lol). Then you can either buy ready to roll icing in different colours, so cover in one colour, then use a second cover to make a bow, roll the 2nd colour out then cut into long rectangles and make a cross, then roll some out and just hand cut a bow shape. If you are putting icing on top of icing add some water to make it stick, icing onto a cake use jam

You can make your own rollable colour icing add a tiny amount of water to a lot of icing sugar, add the desired coloured, cover your hands in flour and knead

Icook gammon in the oven

180-190deg, on a baking tray, put a few rings of pineapple on top and leave for 25 minutes

Oh it is icing? I thought icing was runny :dohh:

Yea I would love to make her a cake myself, I always wanted to with Dylan as well but never kne how, now I know I can become a cake making machine!!! OH will enjoy being the taste tester too, I won't, I hate cake

I know what I'm doing for Bethanys, we are going to have food and nibbles here and my mum and 3 close friends here, maybe one of my brothers and my dad if my mum manages to persuade them  We are going to get a bloody fabulous cake though, I might even start practicing so I can make one, I wouldn't even know where to start though :haha: I don't even know how to make cakes.

Bethany's party sounds like what I'm planning for Aaron! Im not even attempting to bake a cake:nope: my SD knows a cake maker who does character cakes, I was thinking bananas in pyjamas or fireman Sam? My SD got a cake of red glitter shoes in a shoe box with the paper overflowing and I thought they were real when she showed me the pic on her phone:dohh:

Ouchies!!!!! Thats a lot of money!

Our babies first birthdays are getting so close!

Heyy are you any nearer on compiling an address list:shrug: just I need a bit of notice or else I'll be too late as I have to go into town:thumbup:

I have no pineapple :( I might send OH out quickly to get some :haha: Dylan is having an eggh with his too, he loves egg then we are having swede/carrot/potato mash with it and peas :cloud9:

Haha as I was typing OH got in, he is popping to the shop AND he is taking Bethany :happydance: he never takes her anywhere so thats going to be nice for them both :D

hmmm Joshua asked me if he could go go-karting with his friends for his birthday, I didnt promise but I said I would definitely look into it! Anyways I have looked into it and its £120 for 8 of them (minimum amount), and then i would probably have to supply food on top??? Or would I get away with just taking them karting? His parties usually cost more than this with bouncy castles etc lol but I got 2 parties to do this year, 9 days apart

I'd just put a bit of buffet on after:thumbup:

 oh you got sooooooooooooomuch to learn hunni, loves ya!!!

8 kids who just spent an hour go kart racing....in my house having finger food??? lolol nooooo if Ido food I will take them to mac ds  but the
karting place isnt quite central enough to town to walk, so would need cars, I
cant fit them all in so depends if other parents stay to help (which they dont
usually!), so Im thinking go karts, cake, and sweets as they leave
lol Then i will take Joshua to mac d's or atea of his choice :)

:saywhat:  :argh:

Wiggler when you mastered the cake itself the rest is easy just let your imagination run away lol

These are some of my cakes I have made.. i love baking :haha:

I've just realised Aaron isn't side planting anymore:happydance: and he's starting to sit from crawling:happydance: and get onto all fours and rock! I'm sure my little duracel will be crawling properly soon:winkwink:

We are taking Sam out for the day on his actual birthday, and having a family party the day before. New, I think sweets and cake sounds fine.

Wiggler, I hope you can improve your relationship for the sake of Dylan and Bethany. You have to actually go through with what you say you will if nothing changes though, as far as I remember this thread you have been saying you want things to change, and tbh councelling is great, but you both need to learn to open up and be honest with other to better your relationship and for the kids without being told to by a third party. You both have to try or a stale unhappy relationship is a horrible place for children to grow up.

Brandi, declawing is very cruel, and I'm not really sure why you would do it tbh, but that doesnt excuse rude posts by strangers. Are you sure now is the time to take on more financial responsibility of all the cats needs at the vet and day to day? xx

WTG Aaron!!!!!

Bethany is starting to try to walk when she stands up against her bouncer. These babies need to stop growing up I think!

Ergh, coughing fits are coming back, oh well it was a nice 2 hours cough free :haha:

Go Aaron:happydance: He's going to be off in no time!!

Mmmmm cake :munch: New you are seriously talented!

Wiggler:hugs: You got some good advice, you guys have been through so much hun, really hope you can get through this and get the councilling and doctors help:hugs:

Hmm I got what 6 weeks till Eilidhs 1?

Brandi, maybe try these softclaw things hun instead of cutting the claws off, alot of people dont like declawing hun,but there was no need for them to be mean:hugs:

24, the ipad apps for autism are brilliant hun, lol no way would he take it to school though! It wouldnt last a day if that happened! We just treat these things as another learning tool, kids learn very quickly what happens at school is very different to anything they get to do outwith school:shrug:

New, your work, just:dohh::growlmad: Dont know how you're putting up with it hun!

The coffee shop we hang out at have surprised Ruaridh with another walking stick, this one has been cut to his size though  He's going to love running around actioning with it!

has heyy been around recently?:flower:

What are softpaws?

Mainly, I want to declaw so the cat doesn't scratch the crap out of the baby, especially since he is/likely is abandoned or stray. He was so desperate to get close to me yesterday when I took his picture that he dug his claws deep into my leg. I don't want to risk that with the baby. Zoe, with her sensory issues, can also rough handle the cat. It's not easy to teach her to be gentle because she needs deep pressure, and if the cat were to retaliate, he might hurt her too much.

Mainly, it's for the protection of the kids, front claws only. We plan on him being only an indoor cat.
