music for baby in womb?

Well so far I havent really played anything. My placenta is at the front so if she was reacting to anything I cant feel it anyway at the moment!

My OH was chattering to her the other day. I was hoping he was going to tell her pretty stories but he decided to educate her in the origins of Batman and a condensed version of all the Star Wars. He was told to go away and switched tack to talk about Disney which I was delighted with until he started to tell her that Disney was a lemming murdering Nazi supporter. He hasnt been allowed to speak to her since!

I am learning Hushabye Mountain to sing to her. Its so pretty but I have always had a complete blank being able to remember the words!

I'm doing a playlist on my ipod to play to the little one and apparantly the more you play it to them in the womb the more chance when they hear it after birth it will calm and reassure them:baby:. Also read mozart played to babies in womb increases their IQ??

I heard, they can't hear outside the womb until 24 weeks but at 17-18 weeks they can hear yours. So, I've been singing You are my sunshine to him or CLose to you by carpenters. :happydance:

awwwwwwwww my baby book says they can hear from 12 weeks and to start playing them music as soon as there's a bump big enough to clip headphones onto, lol, and there's a photo of a skinny bird with a perfect bump wearing headphones.

I also had to tell OH that if baby does move to Metallica it is simply to tell daddy to turn that rubbish off :happydance:

I read the same thing in mine. Mine already responds to sounds, especially music. He will start kicking away and sort of dancing to the beat. And I guess the buzz of my fans on my lap top bug him cause if its close to my belly he will kick at it, hes almost kicked it in the floor.

Mommy's favorite band, but in lullaby form! https://www.amazon.com/Rockabye-Baby-Lullaby-Renditions-Roses/dp/B002OLFG5M

'Baby I'm Yours' by the Arctic Monkeys!!

My OH thinks I'm mad, but a christmas song came on the ipod dock the other day and I swear I got kicked more than usual! Lol I've got a wee christmas bopper in there - yay! :) Haha x

Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. Baby needs to learn that life is hard lol

I'm only 12 +6 so currently just plug my mp3 player into my belly button (using my headphones, not the actual plug lol)

He's into 2pac and all that crap, but i got to give it to him, when he palays all his hip hop our baby does actually react to it now, so as much as i hate it, i let him play it cause bubs seams to like it

With our 1st we used to play all the music we liked which is stuff like the doors, ramstein, nirvana, jamiroquai then when she wa born if she woke in the nite id give her a feed an play her any of the above to get hr back to sleep! Her fave fall asleep music was ramstein which is weird cos its pretty heavy!

Oh no if my baby can hear my voice then they are hearing gross surgery stuff that I am doing in nursing school lol
