Not Knowing Whether I'm Ovulating or Not is so Frustrating :'(

I just woke up like a half hour ago and no sign of af for me.But I feel tired and I have a headache. Last night dh and I had a small fight and it was really all me, I was angry at him and I didn't really have a reason. I'm a bit hungry but I chalk that up to my new diet. Ugg I hope I get a sign of af soon. Or any sign really! I'm getting impatient. I guess I have until about Christmas eve to get af because the blood work was the 10th and they said I had o'd so 2 weeks after would be the 24th. That would be a 2 week luteal phase. Ugg.I'm tired of waiting!

You must be soooo excited ameeann! I know I would be over the moon! So are you going to make a Dr appt or wait a week or what? Did you tell your fam yet? Your dh? What did they say? It would be like a madhouse here! DH would be a happy little bundle of nerves and my parents and grandparents would be so excited. I dunno about dh's parents though. I think they would be nervous. They don't think they're ready to be grandparents. Nobody knows we've been trying. My friends would be extatic. Oh I so wish it were my time!!! It would be a perfect Christmas gift! Congrats again ameeann!

I am so so excited! Hehe im gona wait til next week to make a doctors appointment just so i know my levels will be high enough for the doctors tests to pick up!
Ive told dh briefly, on his way to work over the phone haha! He was shocked i think more than anything! Lmao! Itll hit him properly when weve been to the docs etc!
The fam dont know yet, to cut a long story short, they all think im on the pill still, they dont know anything about us ttc, so im just gonna wait to tell them til im "late" my mother in particular! Haha im nervours of thelling the inlaws! Just because i dont know how theyll react! dh thinks theyll be happy! His mums always on about wanting grand kids but i think itll be a shock because hes the youngest of his brothers! Lol
My best mate knows were trying shes 38 weeks preggo herself so ill tell her soon! maybe before the fam knows tbh! Haha were not planning on tellin the fam we were trying, i know it sounds bad but i dont think theyll understand tbh! So as far as they are concerned its a fortunate accident! Hehe it couldnt have been more planned if we tried though tbh! hehe

Now the tricky part is trying to keep it a secret for a while. My hubby was talking the other day about when we get preggers and how it's going to be so hard to keep it a secret (he talks about ttc and getting pregnant ALL the time these days! lol). That man can't keep a secret to save his life, but I'm extremely superstitious so I'm not telling anyone but him and my bff till it's been at least 12 weeks. I'm starting to think maybe I shouldn't even tell him when it happens since he's likely to spill the beans.

I can't wait till you go to the dr and confirm it! I'm sure you will because everyone says there's false negatives, but rarely false positives, so it must be bfp!! I'm so excited you would think I'm the one who's preggo! lol

I've done very well today! Sooo pleased with myself!!

found out this morning, told DH over the phone but then had to go to my parents' house to look after my mum anddd I managed not to tell her!!! woooo go me!! hehe

I don't think we're telling anyone til we've been to the doctors but that would mean christmas day and if they don't react well I don't want it to ruin the day! haha might tell them christmas eve, but it's going to be soo difficult! because his mum is so close to his aunty and I don't want anyone other than immediate family knowing til 12 weeks either!!

I'm currently in limbo. Been told (in confidence) that there's a possibility of me getting a pay rise at work covering my friend whilst she's on maternity leave. If I didn't take it up then I prob wouldn't be offered another for a while, and the money would be a great help. I suppose we'd only put off ttc for 3-4 months... However I don't yet know whether it will happen or not. Advice please? xx

I think you shouldn't put off ttc, I just think you should make it maybe second priority? and take the more relaxed approach?
I mean, your work don't know your TTC do they? So they can't have a problem with it if you become pregnant in a month or two?

No they don't know. Only the woman who's pg knows! OH thinks that if it was
confirmed that I'd get the pay rise it'd be worth waiting/relaxing til say, march time. Cause they wouldn't retract the rise once I've got it xx

Well she's 12 weeks next week. So it's depend whether they'd let me

well tbh, we don't have a great financial situation atm but there's other reasons for this baby!

so at the end of the day it's what feels right to you!

people would call us crazy for doing this now, but we have other reasons that mean more to us!!

I don't have a job right now and money is sometimes tight but that isn't important to us. Money isn't everything and we have a happy and comfortable life syle even with the money we do have. Ameeann I don't think you're crazy for having this baby in a tight money situation. What matters is whether or not you have the love and time for your child. Money comes and goes but your family will be there forever in your heart. It's always there in the back of my head when I think about being able to afford the baby but I just remind myself money is a fleeting thing.

Hey cmarie33! Good to hear from you!

My 2 cents is this: How long is she going on maternity leave? If it's for 12 weeks (which I think is standard), than you know you need to be at least a few months behind her getting pregnant, so you won't need to take maternity leave until she's coming back. In that case, your all set becaues she's already 3 months. So I say just keep trying, just in a relaxed way, because it could still take another 6 months for you to get pg anyways.

The thing is we never know how long it will take, and seeing how many women are struggling to get pregnant is a reminder of how much of a blessing it really is. So I would hate to see you put it off for any extended period of time, and then have it take a long time to get pregnant after that.

I put off trying for a while after we got married because I wanted to finish college, then I wanted to have another vaca with my hunny before getting pregnant, and so I put off even stopping the pill for so long because I was worried about getting pregnant before I wanted to. While I'm happy I gave myself time to finish school (graduated in May), I'm now wishing that I didn't wait so long after that to stop taking bcp for fear I would get preggers before the cruise we just went on.

So no one can make the right decision for you besides you and the oh, but I am starting to understand the people who say just go for it and figure things out when it happens.
