November Fireworks 2017

Am currently lying in bed trying to work out if baby has been moving less today or I just haven't noticed due to being out and about. She gave me a mighty stretchy poke this morning but...

Yes I hate that, but hopefully it's just that you've been distracted and haven't noticed the movements as much x

Went in to be checked and was there for a few hours as they were v busy. Typically they attached the monitors and baby perked up....

The trace such as they were able to get seemed fine. Baby kept kicking and wriggling though which gave some 'fun' 60bpm readings...! So officially checked but still feeling paranoid this morning. Meh.

Justme, I'm sorry you didn't get total reassurance. I got really worried about 28 weeks when my babe had a quiet day. They can happen. Never feel nervous to go get checked again if you need to :hugs:

She's been kicking around for the rest of the day, so I am feeling a lot more reassured now.
I am definitely feeling quite over being pregnant, but as it's my last go at it and given yesterday I am trying to make sure I appreciate it as much as possible.

How is everyone else?

Justme, glad to hear you were checked out and that all was well.

As for me, I was able to get my glucose test done, so I will probably get results on Tuesday. Will update on that then. So nervous. Also, I never mentioned here, but at 19 weeks I was diagnosed as having a 2 vessel cord vs. the standard 3 vessel cord. I'm a little paranoid as I researched more on it, and now I'm feeling very anxious. Doctor didn't seem so concerned but will be monitoring me a little closer in order to assess baby's growth. I'm so deperately praying all goes well for my baby. I ask everyone to say a little prayer for my daughter or send their good vibes this way because this mom is stressing. I don't know why I went into the internet and starting researching? Doctor was aware of the condition and hasn't shown any concerns, so I didn't look into it until today. Now I'm worried :(.

Hope all is well with everyone else!

Absolutely praying Brenda! That is scary. I've had several friends with the two vessel cord and all went well. I bet she will be just fine, but don't hesitate to tell your dr you're concerned after you researched!

Hope all of you are doing well :).

Bad news, I failed my glucose test. The cut off was 130 and I came in at 135... WAAAAAHHH!!! Now I have to go back and do a 3hr glucose test!!! So disappointed. I'm going in on Wednesday, so please send your good vibes this way, so I can pass it! Will update then!!!

Brenda, I'm so sorry! Sending prayers you pass the 3hr!!!!

As for me, I'm on the 8 week count down! Only 7 weeks 4 days till my section! I spent Tuesday in the hospital getting monitored as I almost passed out in a restaurant. My blood count is just very low. Unfortunately not much to do except hang in until he comes out. I wish people understood how horrible I feel ALL the time. Makes first tri seem like a joke! I feel so weak and nauseous constantly and just dizzy and lightheaded. I have 2 wild boys at home and a husband who works 12-18 hour days. It's very challenging and I literally rarely leave my house because when I do, I have a bad episode like Tuesday. I'm not meaning to whine. I'm extremely grateful for my baby. But I wish someone would take pity and HELP ME somehow. But there's not much that can be done I realize.

Oh Brenda that suckssss! Hopefully you pass the 3hr test. Where I am, everyone has to do a 2 hour test, fasting for 12 hours beforehand. The 2 hours feels like forever, 3 hours will be so hard :( butttt luckily you only jussssst failed, so FINGERS CROSSED you pass the 3hr one!

Oh ttc126 how awful :( I had super low blood count last pregnancy so I absolutely feel for you. It is such a terrible feeling, feeling nauseous and just sick and weak the whole time. And unfortunately it doesn't go away as soon as you have the baby (but maybe it will be quicker for you because you won't lose as much blood with a csection I hope?). Sending happy thoughts your way. How scary is the countdown?? Eep!!

Does anyone here have Instagram?
Mine is @lara_and_albie if anyone is interested. It's nearly 100% photos ofmy 2 year old lol. Just send me a DM letting me know who it is and I will make sure to follow back. I can't wait to see pictures of everyone's adorable newborns :flower:

I can't believe how quickly time has flown by!

Bestwishes to everyone with health worries or otherwise feeling poorly.

I managed to fall over this morning whilst walking my daughter home from her second day at school. Managed to control it and roll onto my back - feeling rather stupid and sorry for my poor little girl who cried her eyes out :-/ Resting in bed for a bit as I'm feeling a bit sore, but will get up soon so as not to abandon everyone. Think it might be a quiet indoor day though.

Justmeinlove- sorry to hear about your fall. I hope the soreness goes away quickly.

Ok ladies more questions... I just had my glucose test yesterday and they said they would call if it was elevated and I had no call back yesterday so I assumed it was good. But now 24+ hours later they call me and said my levels were on the elevated side. I looked up my lab results and it said 133 and the normal range goes up to 139... so anyone else have this level or close and not repeat it or has done the 3 hr test?

Justme, oh no!!! Feel better soon, hope it wasn't too bad of a fall!

Futurebaby, mine was at 135!! I have to repeat on Wednesday so I will update by next week what that test yielded. My sister's levels were checked last year when she was pregnant and hers were 132 for the 1 hr test. She had to do the 3 hr test which she failed again by 2 points again-- cut off is at 130 with our doctor. I think they didn't worry too much.

I really don't want to retest but I guess I'll have to for the sake of my baby's health... will update as soon as I get results. Were you told to retest? If so, when will you retest?

Yes. They told me I had to have the 3 hr test within 7 days. I don't know if it's because of gestational age or within a specific time frame from the 1 hr test. Either way I don't know how women do it that work monday thru friday. I work 3 days a week at a hospital so it's usually pretty easy for me to make it work minus finding someone to take my son.

They also told me to eat 6 carbs a day (for 3 days) until midnight before the test then nothing by mouth expect water. Does your MD have you carb load?

Ps... the weird thing is I got curious and I looked at my glucose test from 2 years ago and found that my test was 137 then and I never did the 3 hour test. I was told everything was normal. I questioned the nurse and she said they are doing this to catch more gestational diabetes sooner. So did I have gestational diabetes with my ds or was their other indications? I found this weird, slightly frustrating and caught off gaurd.

I haven't posted in a while, but I did pass my 1 hour test.

7 weeks and 5 days until my c-section! :happydance: I can't wait to meet baby, and my older children are dying to see if baby is a boy or girl. I'm still thinking it's another boy, but we'll see!

@Futurebaby, my doctor does not make me carbo load. To be honest, I was stress eating the whole week up to the night before my test because of the storm/hurricane we experienced in Houston. I knew I was eating badly but I couldn't help it being locked up at home and watching everything unfold on the news. I need to be good from here on out, but I will be updating on my results by the end of the week! I'm not sure what my levels were with my son, but I was bigger with him than. What I am now-- so hmmm!? They never mentioned a thing. Best of luck and update us when you get your results!

@Wookie, wow! That snook up quickly!! I can't believe that our group is beginning to have babies!! I truly wish you the best and safest delivery possible!! So excited to find out what you're having :)

I'm hopefully in the 7 week countdown too! Can't wait to meet this little one!
I might be c section too this time - anyone got any tips of what i need to take that would be helpful and in the UK whats peoples experiences for how long you stay in for?

6 weeks from today my induction will start. It still feels like forever away I'm just too excited lol

I guess I never asked but how long does it take to get your results?

I can't believe so many of you are close to your inductions or c-sections. I am excited to hear stories and see pictures.
