November Fireworks 2017

Littlelala, I know that you’ll be worried until you get some clear answers, but I wanted to send you lots of hugs and to say that at the end of it all, your baby will be perfect no matter the outcome. :hugs::flower:

Is anyone feeling lower back dull cramps— almost like period cramps!? Are they Braxton Hicks? I’ve been feeling them for about 4 days now and although they aren’t necessarily painful, they are uncomfortable and noticeable.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I don't really want to talk about it to my friends, so it is nice to vent it out here.

Yes Brenda, I have been having lower back cramps. I've been having warm baths to dull the pain. I don't remember having this feeling last pregnancy.

Quick update, had my baby boy at 9 this morning after a day of silent labour. Had no idea I was even dilating! Emergency c section due to breech, 5lb10. All going well now :)

Yaaaay congrats Onions!! I hope you recover quickly. Any name yet? <3

Yay Onions!! Congratulations!! I’ve heard of people not feeling contractions while they were actually having them! So very excited for you!!!

Congrats onions!!!

Wondering who will be next!

I've been having period pains that are getting worse and Braxton hicks!! I'm just wondering when it's all going to come on!!

Onions! Congratulations! Thomas is my baby’s middle name too! I updated on the front page. I am not sure of time difference so if the date is different from what I put, let me know!

Onions, what a huge surprise that must have been! :o

I have no symptoms of anything. I also thought we were about to exchange today but it didn’t happen so another weekend of stress and wondering awaits 😭 I think that if I could find the guy who messed it up today I would punch him 😡

Congratulations ttc and Onions on the safe arrival of Ford and Orion xx

Well at my scan on Wednesday, they were concerned because baby's femur is measuring farrrr behind, and mentioned that it is a marker for Down syndrome and that in addition to my low PAPP-A is a concern. Then they sent me home and made an appointment with a specialist for Monday.
Well obviously I've just been so worried since.
Lala i'm so sorry you have this new worry. Not what you need at this stage! I hope Monday's appt with the specialist can put your mind at rest a bit. NIPT screening isn't 100% accurate but it is pretty close!

I hope it simply a case of a longer torso and slightly shorter legs x

I had a bpp on Wednesday and the head measurement came out too small, however the doctor who was scanning me did say that she was lying very low and so she was struggling to get the measurement and that it may not be correct.

I am back in on Tuesday to finialise the details and date for my c-section and to discuss more frequent monitoring as I have been seen twice now for reduced movement. The next 4 weeks can't come soon enough!

Another baby born! Congratulations..
i'm being induced tomorrow (UK).. 3rd baby - any idea what to expect? I'll be 38+2..

No idea Emma, sorry!! But Yay and good luck!!!!! How exciting!! I'm ready/not ready!!! I've been incredibly irritable the last two days and it's starting to get to me!!

Oh wow Emma!! How exciting!! Good luck! Did they tell you how they were going to induce you?
Either way, it is so exciting that you will have your baby soon!!!

I have my appointment tomorrow to talk about things with the hospital, I hope it goes well and I don't cry lol

Little lala - so sorry you have this worry to deal with. I hope you get answers soon and that everything is ok.

Onions - I don't think I've already contgratulated you, so congratulations on your baby!

Emma - I was induced (UK) with my little boy (first child). I can't remember the details I'm afraid. What I do remember was feeling anxious about it because you hear so many bad experiences. However, for me it was a brilliant experience. I arrived at hospital at about 9.30am and think I had something productive done around 11am. I was having managable contractions by teatime and was labouring through the night. My little boy was b orn just before 5am.

I'm now in hospital awaiting my c-section in 12 days time. I hate it already. I'm in a full ward and the lady next door has been chatting loudly with her OH whilst watching Xfactor (playing loudly) and she's been sick a few times. Haven't heard anything from the other ladies. I HATED saying goodbye to my little boy. I thought I'd be ok, but he kept saying he wanted me to go with him and Daddy, which set me off. It's going to be a long fortnight!

Breaking waters quickly they hope and possibly a gel..

Poor you sizzles.. hope your ok.
I'm team yellow so will update you all soon!

Awww Emma, how great that you’ll be meeting your baby soon!! I cannot wait to hear if boy or girl! You truly had strength in waiting to find out. If we decide to have another baby later down the road, I think I might actually wait to find out at birth! Prayers all goes well :flower:

Yay Emma how exciting!! I can't wait to hear your update and how it all goes!!

Aw sizzles you poor thing. I would be so upset too. Such a long wait, and hospitals suck.

My meeting with the specialist went well today. She doesnt think that baby has Down Syndrome, which was such a relief. They have booked me in for an induction for the 10th of November because they want to be able to monitor baby the entire process. They actually wanted to get me in next week but they didn't have any appointments available. I better start getting everything ready haha

Little lala - that's great news. You must be so relieved, and nice to have a date to work towards.

Emma - hope you're doing ok.

First night in hospital was awful! SO noisy! I hardly slept. I'm off to buy earplugs shortly and hope for a better night tonight.
