I have swollen taste buds on my tongue that are killing me, it makes me so irritable with the kids. I hate this. I just want my tongue back to normal now, please!?

Silas that sounds really odd and painful too! Is it an allergic reaction to something?
Try putting ice on your tongue to numb it and hopefully that'll help for a while at least. Big hugs x

How are all mums and babes?
We are good here, night times are getting slightly easier! Megan is waking twice a night at the mo - which I can cope with.
Am still falling asleep sometimes though which I really don't like, however I figure it hasn't hurt until now and I wake after about an hour or so and put her back in her crib anyway.

Question: when do babies really start to take an interest in their toys? :s

Honestly, I have gotten it since I was very young. It seems random to me, but I think it happens when I eat too much of a salty thing. I can't be sure. I just literally eat orajel until it goes away It seems to make it heal up faster then if I just deal with it. When i was younger I could have it happening for 7-12 days. Bleh, who knows. Went to the doctor when I was round 10-12 yrs old and they gave me pills but have long since ran out of those - don't think they worked anyway lol.

Glad nights are getting easier Kayley.
Kai has only become interested in some toys in the last week or so. Mainly because he wants to try and chew on them! He will hold some toys but not others and only if i give them to him. I know other babies his age who have been playing with toys for a while....different babies and all that! Kai still prefers funny faces and sounds to toys, at the moment.

What a cute outfit

We had a shitty ish night But Evan went a long time withour feeding yay! I think over 5 hours, but he woke up a fair bit Also woke up at 5.20 cos his nappy leaked, wee all over the bed

In other news:

MY SISTERS WATERS HAVE BROKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Twins are coming, likely C-Section today yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy 4 months to Evan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Evan has been holding and chewing his toys for about 2/3 weeks now and started really loving his jumperoo about 2 weeks ago!

I guess they only properly start playing maybe when they can sit up? Who knows

Pixie plays with her toys but not loads. she's just finding her hands properly so they'll become more intrigued once they have grasped the concept of their hands i guess

So, Proud Mommy moment.

Jaxon stayed out at my parents house on Friday night. And my mom mentioned to me yesterday, "Jaxon will probably be crawling within the month!" after notincing Jaxon rockng on all fours. Its funny watch him do this b/c I can tell he wants to move, and he's getting mad that he cant yet.

and then she says "he's rolled early, and holding himself up so well, and now trying to crawl, hitting the milestones early!"

Oh and I tried him on his rice cereal last night. Gave him about 6 spoonfuls, and he kept opening up his mouth for more, and this was after his bottle. I'll try a little more tonight and see how he does.

How exciting a high chair!!.our babies are growing, I think i'll feed Eva out of the bumbo until shr can sit on her own then i'll buy a high chair.

I thought XO initials were super cute because its like kiss hug, she could of signed things xo XO.

Bartness, that is early for crawling, he may show signs for a long time yet, I doubt his back muscles would be strong enough at 3 months to support him crawling just yet?? 'Generally' babies tend to sit up unaided before crawling.
