October 2018 Bumpkins!

I got terrible leg cramps last time, but only once so far this time.

So ive been measuring large for the last month and today i found out why. Our little girl is as the dr said huge! Im 29w1d and baby measured 32 weeks. 4lbs and 1oz. No gestational diabetes so they are saying its just a big baby but i might have to have a c section early if she gets too big. I was thinking of trying for a vbac but im not sure it will work out now if she is so big. Im just happy everything looked good. Very big but everything perfect.

Oooh, am I able to join this thread? I was in the february testing one but I haven't been on here as often as I'd like to be so I'm behind lol. I am due October 17th with twin boys :happydance:

Off for a repeat 3D scan this morning as she wouldnt behave last time and kept hiding her face! I've also gone a bit crazy buying baby clothes this week and starting to get the house and our business in order so that I can have a bit of time off once she arrives! Not sure why I'm nesting so early this time but I've got a massive urge to get everything done now!

Had mt scan today along with sugar test and rhogam shot . Baby girl is still a little small but has almost caught up her weight is aprox 2.5 lbs . We got to see her in 3d but she keep her hands in her face so we did get a pinted picture. Doc is referring me to a chiropractor for sciatic pain.

got some amazing 3D pictures yesterday. Shes got chubby little cheeks and looks just like her big brother! I was told to prepare for a small baby early on - shes weighing in at 4lb 3oz already! Little bit concerned that I'm going to give birth to a toddler now :p

All joking aside though I was quite worried with her growth to start with so this is very reassuring!

Ruskiegirl 2.5 lbs is great for 27 weeks, seems right on track my little girl was only 2.5 at 29 weeks which makes me nervous, hopefully she will catch up by the next appt

Got diagnosed with gestational diabetes, they said my numbers were pretty high so I am being referred to the local diabetes clinic . Relly hoping we can control it with diet and pill only an no insulin . How is everyone else been ?

Ruskiegirl sorry about the GD diagnosis. Hopefully the diet and medication help.

Been doing good over here. I'm still gaining weight rather quickly. I'm up 29lbs from my PPW. It seems I have the biggest jumps the days I see my MW as I had gained no weight for the past two weeks, and then today BAM 3 lbs!

I also got my first nose bleed of this pregnancy. :nope:

I am borderline for GD, so I am on low carb diet for past 5 weeks. I also started monitoring my glucose at home from today. Not enjoying all the finger pricking, but my first few numbers look ok, so keeping fingers crossed that I won't need any meds.

Doing really great otherwise - just getting excited for my next ultrasound on Monday!

Off for a growth scan and consultant meeting today - hoping that he agrees to me having an elective c-section as last time he refused :(

8 weeks to go.... Time is passing quickly and I am getting nervous and excited all at once. Hope everyone else is doing good.

Little bit tired - but the nights are getting quite restless.
If it's not the baby moving around keeping me up, it's the constant bathroom breaks haha! And I'm always thirsty, so I'm always drinking, so I gotta go pee even more haha.

8 weeks to go. I do not know where the time has gone. We have our baby shower Saturday and our belly photoshoot the weekend after.

And then? Appointments all the time haha. This coming Monday we have our growth echo to make sure all is well considering that one hormone I had that was a little high.

We did the 3D, baby hid his face the whole time (with his hands, and in my placenta which is posterior!)

cutie!

Nothing new for me. just in a waiting game to start things on the nursery.

Baby is still breech - bum first so the consultant has finally agreed a c-section. Hes said first week in October which is only 7 weeks away! I'll get a confimed date at the start of September!

Also she is measuring 4lb 8oz already so I'm thinking that it might be even earlier than that so I've been on a mad buying spree for all the big items! I've just brought moses basket and changing station, picked out the pram and car seat and I've started washing all the clothes. I got loads of clothes second hand so these need a bit of a freshen up! I'm also getting all the clothes organised by size to help OH while I'm in hospital as bless him he'd have no clue on that side of things!

All i need to buy now is a steriliser and perfect prep machine, some bedding for the moses basket and some bits for my hospital bag and then I'm done! Really feeling the need to be organised at the minute!

Being induced have had pitocin going for about an hour and a half, waters ruptured 5 days ago then this morning started bleeding heavily so decided it's time. Betty scared, and worried abnot what we are about to face over the next coming weeks! He will be in NICU but pray he has strong lungs!!!

Good luck Katie. I will be keeping you in my prayers.

Good luck Katie!
