October/November pumpkins 2024

Hi ther
Hello

I don't think there is a group yet for Oct but let me know if there is and I'll join!

I'm 41 and pregnant with my 5th

My other children are 8, 6, almost 4, and 19 months

First 3 were Ivf
After 20 years of being infertile (unexplained) got my first natural bfp aged 39 the month we were due to do out next FET

I said of I wasn't pregnant by my birthday 25th Jan I would go on the pill as we hadn't fully decided if we could manage to do it again, we definitely wouldn't have anymore frozen transfers, but if it happened naturally then we would be happy

I had in my head, right it's not happening and it won't now, then day 27 of this cycle there was 2 boxes of frer on offer at the counter in boots this week, obviously I had to get them and realised after they were expired by 9 months, being an addict I don't one anyway lol and it was a faint bfp, took about 2 days to do the other 3 which all got darker, since then I've done numerous tests at different times of day lol, all positive

We're shocked but happy and exhausted as little one isn't a great sleeper
Which is why I kind of imagined I couldn't go through it all again!

But here we are

Hope there are others to join, my cycles are irregular but I'm guessing about 4 weeks, think I literally got pregnant on my bday or a day either side of it, cycles for the last 3 months have been 31-33 days, before that they were up to 45 days after stopping breastfeeding, I think as they got regular it's how I got pregnant like the last time naturally, although we were unexplained, I always had irregular, long cycles

Hope there are more of you to join!
e ! New here .. due 12/15 October is there a group yet ? :)

Hi ladies,
Again I took a big break from updating this theard. I will be 37 weeks tomorrow! Am super excited! The summer went by while doing little chores everyday I can say that we accomplished pretty much everything by now. My kids share a room now and they love the new space and the bunkbeds. The nursery is set and I think i have washed pretty much everything I could!
AFM it has been a bit nerve racking due to some health issues, i was diagnosed Gestacional Diabetes at 28 weeks and just got insulin prescribed last week cause the pills, diets and exercise were not doing as much. Im glad that is finally under control. Baby is breech, he loves being transverse also and he rotate between those two but has been with his head down a couple of times also so he may still turn head down. But because of the planning at the hospital we have scheduled a C Section in two weeks. I also had a scare with the blood flow in the umbilical artery, so ive been getting checks ups twice a week which include a CTG from the baby and an ultrasound just to check that artery once a week. So far so good.
Well ladies soon we will meet our babies, wishing everybody the best and lets see who arrives first!
Hello, I would like to join please! According to my lmp I'm due around Oct 10th. I have my first ultrasound scheduled for early March so I will know a better date then.

I am 37 and I'm also pregnant with # 5. My kids are currently 9,7,4, and 21 months.

We were back and forth about having another, I get ppd everytime and I wasn't sure I could do that again. In January we discussed what each of us thought about it and decided we would just ntnp. It was within a week that I got pregnant with this little one. I was actually shocked because I have PCOS and it usually took a few to get pregnant. I decided to test because I started peeing a lot and had some shortness of breath ( happens early for me because I have asthma) I was so surprised to see a faint line! I called my husband and asked him to grab another test on his way home from work to check and the line was darker and it was only a couple hour hold. I took around 6 tests total just to be sure because I was shocked lol.
Hi there congratulations on your 5th ! New mama here :) mine is due around 12/15 October . Don’t know what to expect , very scared , don’t have much help/an adult I know pretty much spend my time on the internet Googling and researching.

Hello Ladies! A lot has been going on around here. I will be 38 weeks on Thursday. When I had my 36 week scan baby was head down and weighed 6lbs 12 oz. I have my repeat c section on October 3rd so not very long to go! We are working on our 9th week of the school year and will finish it Friday. We will then be in break until after baby gets here. We have most of everything ready for his arrival, I would still like to freeze a few more meals though. I will be washing and sterilizing his bottles today and any little cleaning jobs this week. My hospital bag is packed except the things I use everyday and his bag is packed. Car seat base is in the car, I will put the car seat in when we head to the hospital. I am having twice weekly nsts and they have been going well, blood pressure is good and my blood sugars have been good as well (gestational diabetes). My sister will be staying with our little ones while we are at the hospital and I am so thankful for that. Our newest addition will be born on my sister's birthday which is exciting. I plan to get some cupcakes for the kids to have with her to celebrate. It seems crazy how close we all are to cuddling our little ones!

How did everyone get on give birth to their babies??, I have a date for my one to be born, the 25th Oct, I was offered a c section, but said no, I still have a hard time with the GD, and it is kicking my ass this week. This has gone so fast, did all the baby shopping on Monday we got everything we didn't do anything till then as it was still unreal, I'm not ready, I don't want to give up the bump yet! He is on the 97th percentile but i'm hope the early induction will help not have a big big baby! Anyway a hello to all, i hope you are all well!!!!

Update on my end, I had our little boy on October 3rd via c section. Both of us are doing well, we were able to come home on Saturday. He was 7lbs 2 oz and 19.5inches long. He is supper sweet and out other kiddos just adore him! We had his first checkup and things went well, I have another appointment tomorrow to correct a tongue tie issue. I'm a little nervous how it will go because I've never had it done on one of my kids before. He has a 75% tie and it makes breastfeeding very difficult and painful. I have had to supplement with some formula because of this issue so I am hoping this will help things go smoother. How are the rest of you all doing?

@crazy4baby09 Huge congratulations!! Do you have a photo of your baby boy to share?? How r u recovering from your C-section?

My recovery from the c section is going well, I still have some pain but it's managed with Tylenol and ibuprofen. I still need to move slow. I'm pretty tired, I think this C-section took a lot out of me because I was already anemic. I have an appointment on the 10th to have my pico dressing removed hoping all looks well with the incision.

@crazy4baby09 What a precious little soul!! Sooo beautiful!!! Huge congratulations again Mama!!! I hope your appointment for his tongue tie goes smoothly and he can breastfeed more easily! You're also the first in the group to get your baby!! I think the rest of us are late October.

AFM, I'm feeling some downward pressure in my pelvic region and more braxton hicks. Had some cramps yesterday too. I'm 37+ 2. Earliest baby came at 39 weeks and latest baby came at 41 weeks. But I do think this baby will come earlier.

We could be the same day!!!!! I'm not sure if I will make it to the 25th
Warning might be TMI... lots of thick white discharge with lots of watery stuff that makes it hard to stay dry down there, which has lead to a pimple that showed up my labia yesterday and it is sore ( I had my swabs taking today and the doctor said leave it, it will be gone in a day or two).

I am about 1-2 cm on the outside but the scan shows still closed up so not really sure what that means, but it doesn't mean labour it any time soon which is fine, I'd like to cook him to at lest the 17th when my crib and car seat (we left it late I know) are delivered and I am 37 weeks.

I'm sick of diabetes, can't wait for that to be over!!!! final Count Down!!!!!

Hi everyone!
I also had a C section on Oct 3rd, my baby was in transverse lie or breech the whole time. He is precious! Am recovering well, still tired but the soreness is almost gone now. I stopped taking pain meds a week or more ago. My scar seems fine.
My kids are crazy about the new baby, its hard to keep them away from him.
We have a busy home now but we are very happy with our new addition to the family.

My little one is five weeks old, born 37+3 days 3.2kg, he is loved beyond words, it’s been tough but that is a story for another day. I feel very blessed! (Photo is one day old )
