I hate Noel Edmonds. In fact I have come to the conclusion that Noel Edmonds is the worst person/creature/THING that could ever deliver my baby.
LOL Worse than IT the clown? Good lord I think I'd actually get up and go back home if that walked in ready for delivery. Noel Edmonds will do just fine

I don't think it matters that a midwife MUST have empathy because they have the same genitals as me, has been through it before etc etc as long as they know what they are doing then surely that's enough? It's a bit like saying I don't want a brain surgeon to operate on me unless they too have had brain surgery!? x

I went into labour really early in the morning and ended up with the OB who was on duty at the time; he was fabulous and I'd happily have him deliver another baby of mine! (If I ever have any more, lol)

JMO - but I don't agree with this at all. I went through three shift changes when I was in labour, and the midwife that delivered Madeline was about 25 with no children, and she was perfectly capable of helping me give birth. In fact, she was fantastic. Where would you draw the line then - you can only be a nursery nurse if you have had children, only be a counsellor if you have needed counselling, etc etc?
There is a male midwife at the hospital I gave birth at. I didn't see him, but he delivered my friend's baby. The way I was feeling, I wouldn't have cared who was at the foot of the bed as long as they got the baby out and ended the pain!
To be honest I am tired and quite incapable of explaining what I meant right now so I'll come back in the morning!

I had a male midwife with me for 12hrs of my labour, he was excellent at his job and a really great guy, I really wanted him to deliver my baby!! He actually saved both mine and my baby's lives. I will always remember him!
As it was I ended up with an emergency c section and it was a male surgeon who did it. Funny how people are ok with male doctors but not always male midwives!

I recognise him, because i've seen pictures of deal or no deal. But im never home when that is on tv so ive never watched it!!!I remember Mr Blobby however, but i dont remember him being on the show
