Opk virgin: when to test??

HI there, hoping you ladies can lead me in the right direction. I've never used Opk before and I'm after getting good 2 packs of the 5 boots ones. Basically I don't want to spend a fortune on opks!! I have a 28 day cycle and we're about to start trying, what cycle days should I start testing on??

If you truly have a 28 day cycle every month, it should happen on day 14. Things don't always happen as planned though, so I would start on day 10 and do it every day until the test says you have ovulated. Even if you get to day 14 and it hasn't happened, keep testing until you get a positive opk.

We are going to start ttc next month, and that's my plan.
