ovulation headache??? anyone else?

i've had this really bad headache all day today, from the moment i woke and still going now... its kind of behind and around my left eye..
i believe it may be ov day today and its got me thinking about last month as i recall having the same headache last month which also went down the base of my skull and neck on the left.. at the time i thought i had already ov'd and had wondered if it was an early preg symptom, but after doing opk's for the first time this month i have discovered i may be ov'ing later than i thought (cd18) which mean the pain in my head i had last month would have been about this time... which makes me wonder if its an ov sign...
i have googled and seen that it is a symptom for some due to hormone level dips/rise etc...
so just wondered if anyone else gets anything similar???

When I was due to ovulate last month (but supposedly I didn't, even though I had ovulation spotting), I had the worst headache that I actually went to the ER. I get migraines every once a blue but this was worse than that! I couldn't handle the pain. I was actually crying. I never got seen though cuz the ER was packed and sitting there in the bright lights all hospitals have was killing me so I went home. I took 2 Excedrins and they didn't do anything for me so once I was able to take something else, I took a strong Motrin (800mg) and the headache was gone. I do believe it has to do with ovulation and it's probably due to the hormone change.

I hope you feel better hun. Take something for it so at least you don't have to suffer with pain!!

^^ I have expirenced the same things!! I'd say we all have the same symptom of Ovulation headaches!

kperez do u mean u have had the same as me?? i've only just started realising that i actually do get these sorts of headaches and when i think back they are prob around this time... definately same time last month as like i said i thought i had already ov'd and thought it might have been an early pg symptom... but with opk showing a surge today im thinking it been that all along! well at least if it is i will know when im ov'ing, even if it does hurt like a bitch! makes my eye a bit sensitive to light too and hurts when i roll my up around, like look up.. weird... anymore ladies please do let me know if you have anything similar??

I have been struggling with a headache on and off for a day or so now, and I am getting the feeling I am nearing possible ovulation (I'm taking Clomid). However it may just be a side effect of the medication for me

Def had the behind the eye headaches, and the twinge in the neck. Finally got a VERY positive OPK yesterday, and been having slight headaches since my LH has been on the rise, but yesterday was bed ridden due to sensitivity to light. :[ But happy to report that I caught my surge and been since the 6th so my bases are covered!
