PCOS Buddies (10 BFP)

Hi ladies. I'm still having close to positive OPK's almost every day over here, same as last cycle. Starting to get really impatient as I just want AF to come so that I can start the letrozole. Just feeling a little deflated Maybe thats a good sign AF is on her way, I'm overly emotional about it all.

On a side note-those looking into inositol, make sure you research myo-inositol and well as d-chiro. I do a blend of both and order myo-inositol in powder form off of amazon and it cost around $13 and lasts me about 2 months. I was only using myo-inositol when I got pregnant before and decided to add in some d-chiro-inositol this time just to see if it made a difference and got a bottle of 60 pills for around $13 on amazon (I take 1 a day). I haven't been taking that one for more than a couple weeks though.

I do as well. Well will be when the myo pills I have run out. Got a big tub of the myo powder and a small bottle of dci. Currently I do 3,000 myo and 160 dci daily. Not sure that low of a dose of dci does much, but time will tell. It brought on AF when I started it all so just waiting to see if/when I ovulate to know if it really helps.

I do that dose of dci as well. I do 2,400 mg on the myo.

I'm just starting out and I'm getting really frustrated. Not because it is a lot of work or anything, but it seems like everything is more difficult due to my size and everyone keeps harping at me telling me that maybe I should wait until I've lost more weight. The problem is I was 375 for a good portion of a decade and I recently lost down to 318, but now I'm back in the 340s. I'm trying to do more and it seems to be just one big yo-yo. My weight has changed drastically now that my blood sugar is more under control, but the nutritionist and ENDO say that insulin should only add 5lbs, not 20, but my GP thinks that this is normal for me (which I've been with her the longest.).... I know that it may be a lot healthier to wait until my BMI is a lot lower, but what if I never get there? I'm only 26 and have been this large probably half of my life...

Also, I'm worried that I may not OV this month since I've only ever done it once in my life... last month on CD 12... but I'm just worried that it was one of those PCOS flukes and I'm not going to have anything normal again for another 20+ years. And it is difficult to keep track of CM and cervical position when you are as large as I am and I keep getting faint lines on OPK...

Please tell me I'm not alone in the frustration and sometimes hopelessness.

Sorry to be so dramatic. I've been very emotional and weepy the last few days.

Has anyone tried Ovaboost and had good results?

Oh Hun don't worry, we all feel the same. It's a lot of work, when I first heard pcos, I didn't know where to start. I started by doing pcos diet because I read that weight and insulin could be the main problem. My LH:FSH went down to 2:1 from 5:1 in three months. Eating right and taking metformin really working for me.

We both are insulin resistant type pcos, some pcos ladies can eat the world and not gain a gram but it's not the same for me and you. So try reading about hormones and understand how each food effects ur hormones.
I'm pretty confident that you will start losing once u manage to lower ur sugar intake so insulin.

How long have you been doing it? Has it been working?

I started with inositol about a month before my last pregnancy, then I had a second trimester loss (not PCOS related) and quit taking it up until about February of this year. I can't say for sure if I see a difference yet because I had also just come off of birth control at the same time so it is hard to say if it is really helping regulate my cycles or not because I haven't had enough cycles to see a pattern yet. I do feel more energetic while on it. Do you notice any difference?

So sorry for your loss :hugs:

I feel I have more energy definitely. I'm losing weight but hard to say if it's the inositol as I'm dieting and exercising as well. It did bring on AF about 10ish days after starting which was good. I'm cd 15 today and have been having ovary pain the past few days and watery cm so I think it's helping. Though it hasn't helped any hair or acne issues. At least not yet anyway.

Hey girls- I had another chemical. I'm going to try to see my doctor soon and see if we can figure out why it's happened twice now.

oh Krissie im so sorry hun:hugs::hugs::hugs: Werent u using progesterone? maybe its somethings else?

Yes, I was using progesterone. I'm going to ask for a higher dose in suppository form. But also see if he can think of anything else it could be.

Were u temping? did u have low temp after ovulation? Did hpt go negative yet? Get a blood test done before starting clomid or black cohosh because i hav so many ppl in my fam that had af for 3-7 cycles while pregnant.

I do temp. They have been falling for 3 days with 2 below coverline. My last pregnancy test was barely there but I got a 1-2 on a digi. I'm not doing anything this cycle except making an appt with my doctor. I figure next cycle I can start over again.

Definitely give yourself a break, just incase pregnancy didnt end:hugs: How is af so far? painful and heavy?

Yea it's pretty painful and heavy. And the same consistency it was last time. If my doctor is willing to do labs I'm hoping he will do an hcg just to make sure. I'm also going to talk to him about being seen earlier than 8-10 weeks which is the standard for his office.

So if u get pregnant, u have to wait 8-10 weeks to be seen? i thought they do tests and scans earlier if u hav mc history

They should be doing them earlier but this office sucks. Unfortunately I have no other options since they are the only ones within an hours drive.

My doctor is nice and seems good but still operates within the guidelines of the practice.

I'm hoping now with two confirmed miscarriages and my pcos and insulin resistance he will be more proactive.

I hope so! Im curious to see what is causing cps. How did DH react to all this?

He's been surprisingly good. I've expected both after a couple of days so I've warned him. I think he's trying to stay positive for me.
