PCOS Buddies (10 BFP)

Thanks ladies. I'm going to go for August - I have only ovulated twice in 10 months so I do not feel guilty for twisting the truth a little.

I'm not following any particular diet as such - I have been trying to switch to wholemeal carbs and eat less. I haven't cut dairy or gluten out. The rain put a halt on my running this week. Keep meaning to get my wii fit board out and do some stuff on there at least.

Betty, I thought if you had PCOS, 6 months was usually the length of time that you should wait before they'll start looking to ways to help?

My Dr's surgery obviously didn't get that memo - first dr told me I had to be TTC for 2yrs and second one told me 1yr.

Hoping this time they will start the process - it will take months to get an appointment anyway!

I'm sure it does vary depending on where you live. My understanding was that for 'healthy' couples under 35, 12 months is the recommended length of time to try before seeking help. But if you're over 35 or have PCOS or other causes for possible concern, it's 6 months.

i got the positive blood test, hcg at 385 and im 17dpo today. Sounds normal?
Should i continue not eating dairy? how will that effect the baby?

Sounds like a good level to me but I never had blood hcg tests. I would think you should slowly reintroduce some dairy for the calcium x

I dd have some yogurt the other day and my face is full of acne, like 8 big ones i got:cry: either its from pregnancy or the dairy

Golden I've never had beta but sounds like a good number to me. Also unsure about the eating daily, I'm sure there's probably calcium supplements or something as people with allergies must have healthy pregnancies and babies xx

I had bad spots when pregnant with DD. Maybe try supplements instead then?

Looks like a good number! Depends on if you want stay dairy free or not really. There are numerous other sources of calcium other than dairy. Anything you do I would just do gradually as you don't want to do anything your body isn't used to too fast. Especially if it was done to help PCOS symptoms and such.

Well i still have to follow my diet around everyone since only DH knows that im pregnant. We dont wanna tell anybody until 12 weeks.

Especially sugar, im gonna stay away from but calcium im bit worried about.

How bad was ur pregnancy acne?

Ive been having dairy.. milk in my cereal..yogurt, cottage cheese...acne could definetly be from the pregnancy Golden! I had my first ultrasound today and theres a little gummy bear in there :D Also found the heartbeat with my doppler lastnight.Im over the moon
