PCOS Buddies (10 BFP)

Hoping the appointment is helpful krissie :hugs:

Massive temp drop this morning so it was a false start. Really fed up. Think I'm putting weight on rather than losing it :(

yea clomid can mimic pregnancy symptoms. I honestly didnt get any symptoms until i could see a line. When ppl used to tell me if u have enuf symptoms then u should have enuf hormones to show a line, i used to get so annoyed. But now i know what they meant lol

That makes sense! I'm just too nervous to test before I go to the doctor! I want to so bad, but I hate the yo-yo emotions that come with it! Thanks for the insight!

I know how that goes! I feel like I can only loose weight one week of the month depending on my hormones! All of this is so frustrating ](*,)! Don't loose hope...just remember it will all be worth it one day:winkwink:!

Hello ladies. Haven't posted an update in a while. CD 43, some red and some brownish spotting started yesterday when I wipe. This NEVER happens with my cycles so I have NO idea what is happening. I called my OB last week and she agree to prescribe meds to induce a cycle, only catch is I have to make sure that I am in town on CD 14 for the follicle scan that I'll have taking letrozole. Well, I'm leaving town for about 11 days. So I wasn't able to start the meds to induce the cycle yet, because Iw wouldn't be in town on CD 14. Just in a really frustrating spot at the moment.

Klabro - that sounds awkward to manage! Hope it works after all that.

I've managed to get a GP appointment for Monday so will explain my frustrations about weight/not ovulating and see if he will refer me to gynae? Or consider something else to try like metformin. I'm going to ask to go through my blood results again X

Betty can't even imagine how frustrating it must be being in limbo. I've had those kind of cycles and I know how stressful they are. Really hope your GP can help and get you a quick referral x

Definitely pressure the doctor for referral, just say that u are on diet and exercising because i feel like doctors have no sympathy for ppl that say "i cant lose weight". Thats what i felt with my docs, they treated me like i was looking for easy way out when it comes to weight loss.

Thanks ladies. I think it's getting to me more because all my body signs apart from temp & OPK made me believe I had ovulated. CM is creamy but stretchy now. Can feel myself sinking into that spiral of 'I'm never going to get pregnant'.

Dont say that! once u get the medical help u need, im sure u will get pregnant in no time. All u need is to induce a good ovulation. Focus on getting the referal. Metformin will help u lose weight and regulate ur hormones and adding clomid to the equation, u will get the bfp:happydance:

This doctor u gonna see, have u seen him/her before?

This really pisses me off, my consultant even once told me that women it isn't harder with pcos to lose weight and it's not a reason. Erm I'm pretty sure it's well known women with pcos can find it much harder!

The name sounds familiar. I think it was the one that confirmed the diagnosis and said he wouldn't do anything until I'd been TTC for 12 months  If I go by when I stopped my pill it would be August. If I go by when we actually agreed to NTNP it was January.

ugh i was gonna tell u to lie if its not the same doc. Thats how i got my doctor to test! i went to one doc and she said try for 1.5 yrs and then come back so when i went to my current doctor, i said we have been trying for 1.5 yrs lol even with that lie, it took him 4 months to put me on metformin and 9 months to give me clomid.

The saving grace I have is that I'm moving in a couple of months so I will be switching doctors anyway. I'm going to be telling him that it's affecting my mental state and getting me depressed that I'm not ovulating (no lie needed!). Hopefully he will be sympathetic.

I would totally lie and say August if you can. There really seems no reason to delay it any longer given the past 6 months you haven't ovulated.

And it is a known fact pcos is harder to lose weight with. For me I have insulin resistance and it's nearly impossible. The only way I have success is with low carb. Which is hard when I love carbs!

Ugh I know! Carbs are my one true love! Haha. In doing hflc diet now and it's so hard. Especially with a little one who has snacks like frackers and bread and stuff. So hard.

It was explained to me once upon a time that for every 3lbs a "normal" woman would lose, those with PCOS lose 1. That was a few years ago.

So I'm cd31. Lot of signs AF is on her way so hopefully soon! If it does come I can thank the inositol for it. You know, and the b complex, vitamins c & d, magnesium, calcium, zinc, probiotic, NAC, iron and such haha

Fx she shows Kylas. I actually believe the 1:3 for weightloss with pcos.

I have been trying hflc but struggle with it. I think I'm going to switch to Dukan's which has a lower emphasis on fat. I think it might be easier for me. But it will really depend how much blood sugar reacts. I'm hoping to start tomorrow and try it for a few weeks to get a good feel for it.

Taz- your new profile pic is adorable. Is it an older pic? I wouldn't think it would still be so cold there.

I don't really try for more fat. I don't have dairy and only eat poultry so that eliminates a lot of fat there. But it means I can have turkey bacon and sausage. Yummy!

It's a couple a months old lol, we had some late snow in March. We've hardly had any nice weather so far though, had to have the heating back on this last week.

Also diet wise I've started slimming world and I'm quite enjoying it. It's not too hard and allows you a little treat every day if you want x
