PCOS Buddies (10 BFP)

Wow that is a lot of milk!!

You are probably right but it is always nice to know.

Oh yeah, I LOVES his milk! I'm glad he drinks that rather than something else though. He actually can't drink alcohol because he drinks so much milk. So yeah ;) (not that I drink much myself anyways but still)
He's gotten me to drink more too, which I'm sure I need it.

Now if I can try to kick down how much soda we drink... that would be awesome. He drinks a butt load more than me (don't even know how much), and I'm down to 1-2 cans a day, and if we go out I try to get Sprite, but some times I still get my regular choice.

I found a Vitamin B additive for water. So I try to drink one bottle of water with that Vitamin B thing a day (doesn't always happen) After standing in the isle for over 10 mins reading all the boxes, I've determined that one was one of the best options. I might go see if they have other vitamins available, and I might get those too (even though I take my pre-natal most every day)

Urgh ... my body is playing games with me... So I've peed a bunch to day and still no actual sign of AF, just a the lightest tinted pink/brown smudge when I wipe... Gaaaaa I just wanna know if I'm really on my period or if my body just really hates me that much.

Im having a new experience and wondering if you other ladies have had it... As I said I had my first "regular cycle" in almost 2 years.. a 28 day cycle. . im shocked mostly but a bit confused.. This is not a normal period.. I have never had one like this.. its the 4th day (my period is generally 5 days) and I havent see even a spot of red :s its just been very very dark brown (sorry for the tmi)... and very odd consistency...not like blood at all.. What could this be ? have any of you had this before? Thanks

May- that happened to me a few cycles back. I had no idea what to think of it. I only bled for three days but it was very dark and (total tmi) but it smelled very different. The rest of the cycle was normal and my next period was back to red.

Did you consider it a period? I have to make an appointment for my SIS and blood tests to be done after my period, but didnt know what to think of this lol. I assume yes..

This last cycle, I had 2 days of red, two days before were brown, and one day after ... I was confused, but I was stressing and focusing on when I was supposed to take pills. So I was like ... well if that's all I got that all I get...
So yeah i would count it as your period.

I even adjusted my cycles from 7 to 5 since most of the time I spot at the end rather than have full days of red.

see thats how mine usually is.. I always have a couple days of brown but at least a couple of red.. but this time its like, almost black..which I know is old blood but its the fact that its not even liquid..:S sounds so odd, but i dont know how else to explain it.its like...tissue :S

That really does sound like the one period I had. No idea why it would do that especially since the cycle I had it was also kinda short (I can't remember exactly but it was less than 30 days).

The only time that it's seemed black to me was more with clots, but most of it was still red.
Honestly if you are really concerned I'd ask a doctor. I hate that statement, but that's all I can truthfully suggest.

I'm wondering if any of you ladies have blogs/Facebook pages/websites etc you can recommend about PCOS diet? I'm not overweight but I'd like to see if sticking to a healthier PCOS diet might help with my hormone levels and maybe lose 2-4kgs. I'm a bit lost and not sure where to start.

I got a positive opk today! :wohoo:

It is just a tiny bit lighter but given my cm is also good I am guessing this is it. Which totally figures given how sick I have been and Dh is now sick. Gonna try to get one bd session in before he leaves tonight though. My temps are a disaster though so I won't be able to pinpoint exact ovulation but if they stay high I can at least assume I did o.

YAY!!!! Awesome for a Positive! Even if it's not a BFP, it's one step closer!!! haha

AF has been playing games with me this round. The whole start stop crap needs to stop! And today she's pissed at me or something cause two days of no cramps and >,<
I'm really hoping the end is coming (as this is day 6) ...

How frustrating Star!! I hope it gets sorted soon. I hate when I don't know what is going on with my body.

I kinda feel that way right now. I have such a hard time trusting opks and my temps are all over due to being sick. So while I do believe I have o'd or will soon I just can't believe it yet. But my opk was slightly lighter today so pretty sure my surge is over.

I wouldn't test while I"m sick, unless I think I might have a fever, mostly cause I wouldn't trust them anyways.
But I'm not one to temp, I've tried and I just can't get into the habit.

So far so good ... It's only 11a right now, so who knows what my body will do by the end of the day.

Eh, so my temp was down this morning. I really hope that wasn't a false positive opk. I just do not want to deal with the will I o crap this cycle. I was so excited thinking I o'd earlier.

Fx you get sorted soon Star.

Krissie, I hope it wasn't a false positive. You did say you've been sick though so maybe you're getting better and your body temp is dropping because of that?

Afm, I'm sick as a dog. Temp shot up this morning so while it wasn't up to fever level, much warmer than normal. I rarely get fevers (which isn't a good thing). Having watery cm so if I can muster up the energy to start OPKs I'll do that tonight. But not looking likely. Dd also has a cold and 3 visible molars coming in and is still adjusting to the move so I am exhausted from just her never mind my own sickness. I'd like to hibernate for a bit. Just a little bit. Maybe a week or two :)

Hi ladies!

I just wanted to tag along and see what's been helping you guys, follow your experiences, etc.

I'm currently only WTT, but my PCOS has made my cycles insanely irregular and I'm getting quite worried about my fertility.

I mysteriously got AF two days ago, before that I hadn't had one since April, and before that it was December 2014! As you can imagine, I'm really trying to get cycles back and make sure I'm Oing so that we can begin TTC next year.

I'm on Metformin 2000mg/day, but I also just began inositol. I know some women say it doesn't make sense to take both. I decided to since they do do different things, they simply have a really similar reaction/effect. So I've been on 2g/day of inositol for the past 3 days. I'm looking forward to seeing if I get any results from it. I'm hoping it helps me O this cycle and hopefully get a semi-normal cycle with less than 40 days (last was the shortest in 2 years and the was 171 days.)
I've been on Metformin for 1.5 years, so it clearly wasn't helping me O. I also recently added 2500 IU of vit-D/day, as I heard this can help with fertility.

I'm also on a low-carb "diet." It's not strict, but it works really well for me weight-loss wise, so it's what I do. I've lost 40lb so far, and I'm shooting for another 20 by Christmas.
