PCOS Buddies (10 BFP)

They're good. Higher like my post O temps so definitely Ovulated.

Hopefully you O this time!

I was curious what method/s of tracking ovulation work best for everyone.

I've only just begun trying to track my cycles, and it's not going well so far. It's only been a few days, but I seem to always have LH present (at the same level; it's not increasing on the OPK), which I understand can be normal with PCOs. My CM is stubbornly staying at very watery. As it's my first cycle trying to track, I don't know what patterns I have with CM. I'm expecting a basal therm. in the mail in the next few days, and will start temping.

I know this varies a lot, but what have you ladies had luck with?

I use temping, cm and opks.

I always have some lh but I usually get a clear positive opk and then o. This cycle is definitely an outlier.

Well ladies…where to begin…
So I got laid off Friday, found out my part time job won't have any full positions til March (and that's a big maybe) and I honestly don't wanna go back to full time there, but I need money before then so I'll just have to work as many hours they can give me.
Ended up with a bacterial infection and can't have sex for a week.
I've only gotten to dtd twice both before Friday, and both were on a low ovulation reading. And now I have no clue if I even ovulated. I'm going for blood work the 26th. And I really hope it shows good signs.
My vacation is next week, and just before we go I'll finish the pills for the infection.
All my hopes for this cycle went out the window Friday.

Anyways. I'm hoping you all end up with better month than me.

Sheesh star! When it rains it pours I guess. I hope you get some good news soon. Are you still going to be ttc?

I had some cramping on my left side today and my opk are clearly negative and my cm is turning creamy so I'm feeling optimistic I might have actually o'd! Keeping everything crossed for a temp rise in the morning.

Sorry you got laid off Star :( That sucks.

Got my bfp at 10dpo today - thank you all ladies for your advice this year x

Congrats Betty!

I'm still waiting to see if my faint OPKs will get darker or if the PCOs are messing up my LH levels. CM and CP indicate fertility (high, soft, open, very wet), but no surge on the OPK, that I've seen. :(

I bumped my inositol up to 4g a few days ago. I'm hoping it helps in the long run.

Thanks ladies. It was 1st cycle on metformin. Only took vitamins and metformin. The consultant said my PCOS was only mild so probably why. Had U/S that showed a dominant follie so BD'd and there we are!

Congrats Betty!!!! How exciting! Send some baby vibes to the rest of us k!

AFM:
Yeah and the rain poured! These past few days were just stress and aggravation! I think i've finally calmed down a little. My part time job is giving me hours, so I feel a bit better. Still gotta job hunt like crazy. I'm going to a job fair after my vacation, so maybe I'll get some hits there!

I'm still gonna ttc, but I can't do anything the rest of this month. Sucks to know that I'm out this early... I don't even know where I"m at in my cycle anymore. I just hope that I O'd so I get another period! Perhaps next month?!

So sorry Star. Fx af arrives naturally and you can get back to ttc.

Afm, I am 2 dpo today. So super excited to finally be here. We had good timing so keeping everything crossed we caught the eggie.

Congrats Betty! just stopping by to update the first page with bfps, did i miss any other?

How are you doing Golden? I cannot believe you are 23 weeks already!!

How are you doing Golden? I cannot believe you are 23 weeks already!!

I'm doing great, except my weight hehe can't stop obsessing over my weight gain as usual! I'm just glad that baby is healthy and kicking

How are u doing? are u ttcing or just working on weight loss and hormone balance.

Ttc this cycle. I did femara and ovulated late. So barely 3 dpo. I have a doctor's appt Dec 7th so hoping to hash out a new game plan then.

Fingers crossed you caught it Krissie!

Wow Golden - that seems to have gone quick!

Krissie yay for ovulation, sending you lots of luck xx

Betty congratulations again xx

Star sorry you're going through this such a hard time, hope you find a job asap and that af comes so you can start ttc again xx

Golden lovely to hear from you, don't worry about the weight gain. Once baby is born I'm sure the weight wI'll drop off too xx

Krissie, lets hope femara works for u hun! I kinda missed attacking my weight and hormones:blush: and my million different supplements. I will get back to the craze right after the baby is born for sure.

PrincessTaz, how is ur pregnant goin? I know baby weight will come off but im scared of getting GD.

So since Saturday i stopped eating dairy and my weight hasnt changed! usually i would have gained 1-2pounds by now. Im really starting to think dairy is the enemy. I was drinking 1 glass of milk every morning and greek yogurt and cheese since i was 12 weeks preggo, and im thinking thats why i had rapid weight gain since week 12.

It definitely sounds like dairy is a problem for you, Golden. You don't need it as you can get the same nutrition in other things so hopefully now your weight gain will stabilize. And if you get GD it isn't that horrible. Definitely have to cut down on carbs and pair carbs and protein/fat. But I found it manageable once I had a good idea what was a trigger.

My carb limits were:
B- 20 carbs
L- 45-60
D- 45-60
Snacks- 15

I plan to stick with that when I get pregnant again as it really helped. I only gained 30 lbs my entire pregnancy and was at my pre pregnancy weight within 6 weeks pp.

I also found eating a fair amount of fat helped keep my numbers in check. So don't be afraid of fat, fat does not make you gain weight just by eating it. It has a bad name because it is so calorie dense.

Thanks Krissie, so for example what did u have for breakfast, lunch, dinner? and how many snacks a day can u have? My biggest problem is that i dont like red meat and now chicken. Grains make me gassy so my protein intake is bit low.

What fats did u consume? other than dairy products.
