Play pen as room divider

I'm looking to buy a room divider but don't understand how they work. If the gap that i want it to cross is 2.5m and the full length of play pen is 3.0m how do you make it fit?
Also any recommendations?

We have a Lindam Babydan one and use it as a room divider - you can remove panels, so you'd just have to take one of the panels off and it should fit.
