The fear of getting it really sucks doesn't it! Having had it before I know exactly what I'll be in for and am dreading it coming back.

Yup
I feel like I'm imaging it sometimes but where I'm there rubbing my feet on the floor at night and sleeping with my hands on a cold wall I think I can't be imagining this!!
I just wanted to update you with my experience of Obstetric Cholestasis. After being diagnosed about 3 weeks ago I've been to the hospital 2-3 times a week for extra CTG monitoring, blood work and fetal wellbeing scans, and I've been taking My blood has shown a slight increase in bile acids with AFTs and LFTs elevated to a greater or lesser degree. CTGs have shown a healthy happy baby throughout. I have felt well all the way through, and my itching has never really reached a point where I felt it was severe.
However my scan on Monday showed reduced fluid around the baby and a repeat scan yesterday showed that the blood flow between me and the baby is starting to reduce so my consultant is no longer happy letting me continue. I had a sweep yesterday and I'm scheduled to go in for induction this morning at 10:00 at 36 weeks +1 !
I'll update you with an early induction story when I return.
Have a question...is it possible to have this without the itching? I have some dark urine and liver tests were elevated a few months ago, but they are ok now. I'm not sure if this is something the doctor needs to keep an eye on if there is no itching? Would you definitely be itchy?
