Santa's Grotto???

I think I’m gonna go with a Lego table and a dressing up rail. Probably both DIY because I like a project!

i’ve missed the 3 for 2, didn’t fee prepared for it because i’ve been away all weekend and only got back yesterday

i can’t decide whether to spend my £59 nectar points in an argos 3 for 2 or whether to double them up at sainsburys when that event starts 🤔

3for2 was scraps. Items from £26.99 boosted to £89.99. Unless you're buying 3 of the same things at the same price, you don't get a deal.

3 for 2 was great for us, collected our stuff today so have a little stash put away now, do need to take one thing back at some point to swap as they never had 3 different variations of one item, but I'm sure I will get it swapped easily once they're back in stock

that’s good to know! is it always like that?!

A lot of the time. If you go onto Argos' fb page you will see a lot of customers bashing them for it too. I learnt from last time, you'll find Smyths will have a similar price drop to compete!

i think i will write the prices down of what i want this week so that i can compare them at the next one and make sure it is actually worth it before i buy!

I think they had 3 last year, one end of july-aug, one end of sept-oct and one in November, so plenty of opportunities. I knew LOLs price wasn't goinf to change, and they never go down in price so definitely worth ir for those. I'm not sure what else to get for the girls now especially as dd2&3 have their birthdays before! (Dd2 has 5 LOLs and the pearl surprise for hee birthday, oops!)

i’m struggling to think what to get my DD as well  her birthday is the week after christmas as well so need to think of more stuff!

i want the grotto to be open because even though i don’t post much i’m always browsing other people’s lists for ideas 💡

what about getting them the pop up playstore you keep the dolls in?

I'm a fiend for grouping my argos 3 for 2 orders into similarly priced lots of 3 haha, best way to do it though ;) I agree though definitely check prices elsewhere to make sure it's not cheaper elsewhere.
My DD2 is 4 in a month and is getting a sylvanian ballet stage as her main present plus a baby alive doll, build a bear pony and various other bits and bobs :)

Out of curiosity how much do people spend on their nieces and nephews for Christmas?

Not sure what to get my 2 nieces (7&2) and nephew (4) so think setting a budget is the best place to start. x

We just have one niece and spend £30 :)

Previously, £10 each when there was 8 of them. We only buy for 5 now (range 2-10) and spend at least £15. But I tend to just buy whatever I think they would like - be it £5 or £15. All my sisters do, we don't get offended.

We spend £30ish each at Christmas. We only have 2 nieces though. We aren’t set on those amounts, we try to keep it equal but sometimes the younger one gets less spent but it still looks more. It just depends.

We spend 20/30 on my two nieces each. They are older now and keep asking for vouchers... Boring! So we go for middle ground of £25 each.

We do £25 ish each. 5 out of 7 are at the age where they'd rather have money or vouchers. The 2 I get presents for are twins so sometimes it's a joint gift and made up to the same value with little bits.

So I have 4 nieces and 2 nephews and 3 godsons so I spend £20 each as a budget

Then we have our friends children of which their are 3 girls and 3 boys so they have £15 (less if I can)

 it all add's up
