***September Rainbow babies 2013 parenting thread***

Yes we are trying, well OH really wants a number 3 but doesnt want to make it a big issue so I'm secretly peeing on ovulation sticks haha no lines as yet. I got my 1st period after Banjo at 9 weeks and 3 days so thinking I was ovulating around 7 weeks and I'm only 5 weeks tomorrow. I would love to be expecting my January.

Yes she loves a bath, she would stay in for hours if I let her. Glad Caitlyn is starting to enjoy hers. We are taking her swimming at the weekend. Benjamin is a water baby and hoping Lucy will be too.

Can you take them swimming before they have has their jabs? You might want to check that our just to be sure. Good luck TTC.

If it is anything like the last time I think you will be, exciting!! :D :dust: :dust:

Aww bless her, hope you have a nice time swimming, It sounds great, I am unsure whether Caitlyn will like it yet as she is only just got used to her baths. Maybe soon I will take her :) xxx

I asked the HV at her weigh in as I remember taking Banjo at 5 weeks, although he promptly fell asleep when we got in the pool. She said it was ok but not to take her for 3 weeks after her jabs as they have drops now that Banjo didnt have. I can't remember the exact name of what it is for but she said it was for the diarrhea bug. She said there was no risk to Lucy if I took her but she could contaminate the pool and give it other people.
Thank you for the luck in TTC. So far conceiving hasn't been a problem just keeping holding of them. xxx

Thanks Zebra, I really hope so!!

I think she will enjoy it but probably wont get much out of it at this age as they only stay in for a short time. I'm sure Caitlyn will enjoy it when she goes. I'll be taking her to a hydrotherapy pool so its lovely and warm and they limit the session to 6 babies so its nice and calm too.

You're welcome :flower:

Ooo that is good, sounds lush, I don't think they do anything like that round here. We have a pool outside but in this weather it will be freezing, then again it is closed now I think until Summer. It is still cold then and all, brrr! :haha:

I feel broody for another! DH just shakes his head and says no, we have to stop sometime. He said I would feel the same still if we had another, thing is I know he's right. Still trying to get my head round it and still struggling with it.

Sannie, to answer your question about Disney next year for George, I think he would be a little young to get anything out of it.

First time we took kids abroad was before we had our third. We went skiing in France when DS was 7 and DS was 4 and it was great.

2 years ago when youngest DS was 15 months old we went to Ireland and it meant nothing to him

Last year, just after his second bday we went to euro Disney. He was probably a little young and there wasn't really much for him to do. The reason we went when he was that young is we have the older ones to think of and with Florida we want to take them before they're too old, hence the reason we hope to go in 2 years time. DS would be nearly 14 and dd nearly eleven, youngest DS would be 5 1/2 but Caitlin will only be 2.

Liss, like you getting pg wasn't a problem for me. I got pg in dec last year first try after mmc in sept. the consultant I was seeing was amazed it was so quick because at my age, then 41, average time to get pg is 6-9 months

She actually decided I was super fertile, which you think would be good, but it isn't. It means you get pg very easily. What should then happen is the body should expel any unviable embryos before you know you are pg but my body was keeping them!

Well it kept Caitlin and I'm so thankful that it did!

Loving all the pics everyone's posting.

@Mwaah Thank you. Lovely pics of Lucy too :flower: Those drops have the live virus in it so when they poop it comes out so have to be really careful. HV told me about this too got a leaflet somewhere but cannot remember what it was called. Good luck trying for no3!

Feeling much better thank you Sannie :) husband back at work today, was nervous but all going well :)

It's nerve wracking when they go back to work ain't it.
My OH went back last monday but has been home since friday poor lamb.

Sure is, he will be home soon, woop. Aww no, is he no better?

He went back today but he is still not 100% bless him.

Thats the one Sannie. I didnt get the leaflet.

I didnt get Lucy weighed this week as she has her 6 week check on Tuesday so will wait until then.

LOL @ the outside pool Zebra. I don't think Caitlyn would be to impressed.

I'm happy it worked out for you and you got Caitlin Lisa, I hope we manage to keep a number 3.

Lucy went swimming today and loved it. She only got out because we had to get OH to work. xx

She looks like she loved it mwaah, so cute! :) Hope the 6 week check goes ok.

I had mine today with Caitlyn with the HV, I have the doctors one tomorrow for us both. We went down to the clinic to get her weighed as the HV didn't have any scales. She now weighs 8lb 8oz, length is 52.5cm and her head is 38cm :) Still in newborn/tiny baby clothes though

Where has MTC got too, hope she is ok.

Hope everyone else is doing good too :flower:

Aww that photo is adorable :flower:

Zebra she sounds so tiny compared to George bless. Hope it goes well at the doctors.

We had the HV on wednesday and she is not happy with his weight gain he gained 500grams the week before and only 90grams, so now she has made me panic. But surely he cannot gain 500grams each week he will be huge before his time

This is my little smiler this morning :cloud9: He went from sleeping thru the night to being up to feed twice last night...what a shock to the system!

All went well at the Doctors today, Caitlyn is doing great. He did the checks on her that was done at the hospital the day after she was born. He checked up on me too, he had to check my bottom, sorry TMI ladies but I have been bleeding like mad there since birth, no piles, no fissures. Just a tiny tear which should heal alone he thinks. I wasn't overly comfortable with a male shoving his finger up my bum but hey oh. The way he said it made me laugh though, he is very eccentric but is a great Doctor. I will be getting the coil fitted in November, is only when they had available appointments. The same Doctor will be fitting it with a lady nurse there too. Other than all is well with me :) Still waiting on my appointment to be tested for the full Lupus. Injections finished as of Wednesday.

Sannie - I know right, most babies around now are way bigger, she is so tiny still, I think sometimes people give birth to babies her size  Oh ignore her, HV overreact, he is putting on weight that is all that matters. Look at the baby not the graph I say :D Such a gorgeous photo of your little one, cute smile :)

Glad all went well at the GP  Doesn't sound pleasant tho what he did tho!

U reminded me to look into contraception too actually after 5 years of not having any we best get some cos knowing our luck it took us so many years to get george we would fall pregnant after the once haha

Yeah ur right LO was 8lbs05oz when he was born so the size ur Caitlyn really.
He was 10lbs09oz on Wednesday, time is going so fast!

I totally agree with you. He is alert, happy apart from when he gets windy so aslong as he is not losing weight I don't see why they should make such a big deal about it.

Thank you he loves to smile, might just be those 'wind' smiles but I just tell everyone he smiles at us anyway :haha:

What are you thinking of getting? Lol yeah, sods law and all :) Aww, he is growing well, time sure is going fast :) They always do, the midwife did with me, it is so annoying.

You're welcome, definitely smiles, Caitlyn is smiling a lot now too, I thought it was wind but it isn't :) Enjoy them :flower:

Beautiful photos...

Mwaah glad your little lady liked swimming, im planning on taking Dalton when we go to Haven next week.

Sannie George is adorable. Sill no smiling here, well he does but I think its gas as he doesn't do it all the time just sometimes.

Weigh day for us Dalton is now 6 weeks old and 13lb 7oz... its official he is part elephant LOL
