Mae76 I think that is appalling and you should definitely complain. How can you think its ok to say that to anyone ever? Poor you.

I had my booking in today and had a lovely if slightly scatty midwife. I was there for 90 minutes and I came away with so many leaflets and books I'll be reading for a month! She confirmed that a home birth is an option which is great as the leaftlet I got htrough the post said it wasn't. She was really quite cross about that!! In fact she seemed fairly disillusioned by the NHS which was quite funny! Mind you I think she has cause as I then had to wait over an hour to have my blood tests done... boy did they take alot!! Not entirely sure what I have to do next, but luckily the hubby was there to actually pay attention. I have a private scan booked on 12th March so I guess that's the next thing. How wierd that I don't see the mw now for 2 1/2 months...

Scally and Peachblossom - thank you for your comments. I thought I was overreacting. I'm going to look into possibly changing MW's. Peachblossom - its sounds like your first MW experience was a good one. I know what you mean about the amount of bloods - I had to fill 4 pots!

Windbloom - I hope you got off to sleep. I suffered from this a few weeks ago - every night I was awake for hours. It seems to have settled down now. I used to get up and make myself a hot drink and had a trashy magazine by my bed to try and doze off to.

Ive noticed my belly feels harder and round like more of a BUMP than "bloat" so thats exciting, mayb as im 10weeks now?!?! not sure lol

Scmelly - so sorry to hear your sad news

So I have now stopped moaning about my lack of pg symptoms as I am now feeling like a total zombie! I'm so tired that it's al I can do to go to work adn get through the day, then it's home and straight to bed for me.

I've also started getting killer headaches and lots and lots of spots so I look really gorgeous at the moment, just have to keep telling myself its all for a good reason.

I've managed to find bubs HB on my doppler a few times so I'm feeling a little bit less terrified that I'll go for my private scan on Sunday and see nothing. I've had some pretty crazy dreams this week about u/s - sometimes I dream that the doctor tells me off for lying about being pg and wasting their time then other times I wake up in a cold sweat when the picture on the u/s looks lke something out of Aliens!!

Still can't believe that the NHS can't fit me in until I'm 14 weeks! rubbish.

Hi girls,

Totally loving the name 'Sept-embryos'!!

Had my booking in appt today, all went went well although ive still to get the date in for my scan. MW seems lovely albeit a bit scatty Cant wait to use my vouchers to get my free huggies new born kit and my bounty pack!! Lol how sad am I!!

Symptoms have pretty much disappeared apart from extreme tiredness and sore boobies lol. Not going to let it concern me too much, easier said than done though.
