hi,

we had 2 christenings at weekend - 1 sat and 1 sun, both really nice, but it was so hot in car getting there.

spent today in garden with blake in travel cot, in the shade of gazebo - since coming in he has been sick everywhere. i'm guessing he doesnt like the heat! i'min for fun this summer as they say its going to be the hotteset we've had for yrs! he isnt eating much but drinking loads. just ordered a clip on fan for buggy/travel cot etc.

hows everyone elses LO's doing with heat?

Amy- Izzy was ok ish with the heat but hated her buggy for those three days, but is fine in it now its got colder again???

What are people's plans for the weekend? we have a christening to go to sunday, so undecided on what to wear! izzy will be meeting other members of her family, really looking forward to it

I've been busy with end of the year stuff for my kids. I took this pic a few minutes ago of Lennox standing in his crib. Since Mother's Day (May 9th) he's been sitting on his own, crawling on all fours instead of pushing himself forward ( about May 13th), Pulling himself up to stand (May 21st) and cruising (May 24th). It's crazy how quickly he is moving on to his next milestone. My oh thinks he could be walking by the time he's 9 months old at this rate.

not getting far with move - our mortgage has now been "un-accepted" as the idiot who arranged it forgot to tell lenders we are in a debt managemment plan even though he took all of the documents. so we are now tring to find another lender that will help us etc. its sooooo annoying.

half term, no idea what we are doing, depends on weather etc. the older 2 want to go on a nature trail around local country park through woods etc and ee what we can find - animals/birds/trees my nan has said she will have blake so not got to struggle with buggy in woods. apart from that nothing planned.


mom2pne - lennox standing in his cot is the reason blake is now in a bed - he was pulling himself up to standing and almost went over the top. he has a mesh bed rail/guard which he cant get a grip on to stand up.

they are growing soooooo qquickly its scary.



i had my hair chopped today - was half way down my back and its now shoulder length!!! it needed it as hasnt been done in ages, looks ok, and will have done it good. thing is as its curly, it has#made it look shorter than it is.

Amy- sorry to hear about the problems you are having with the mortgage, hope u get one sorted soon.

Izzy hasnt done anything else yet!!! i am desperate for her to try and pull up, crawl, etc but i dont think she is a physical baby. She is so clingy at the moment, sometimes wont even go to daddy, think it may be her teeth or something, i hope it doesnt last too long!

Morning!!! Sorry I haven't been on here lately, work is so busy and evenings are with Joe so I'm only left with Friday, Saturday's and Sunday's when Joe is napping!!

OH took him to get weighed this week and he's 20lb 11oz now, so still doing well. He's not crawling or anything yet, seems to be very laid back at the moment!!

Ahhh bless Chloe- not a lil chunk really! What centile line is she on?

Typical half term, poor u Amy, dont know how i would cope with children wanting to get out and about in this rain!

We are off to a christening tomorrow, so would like it not to rain (so hair doesnt go fluffy) but not to be too sunny (as wearing skirt, tights and boots and would look silly if too nice!)

hope christening goes ok. and its not too hot/cold/wet.


you find things to do with kids when its wet - at easter we made hand puppets (kits from wilkinsons 99p each). my sister has bought them a paint by numbers and a tile mosaic kit each - mess!!! i also have books on things to make and science experiments from household stuff etc.

obviously last summer hols we couldnt do much with me in/out ospital etc and my garden table, some bed sheets, elastic bands etc made a boat, a space ship - they drew the dials and buttons on a cereal box!, a car, a bears cave - they had a teddy bears picnic in it and they loved it. they were under the gazebo so were out in the rain as well as the sun. AND it didnt cost anything - bonus!


my sister said yesterday her friends baby is 4months old and last week weighed 22lb. OMG! thats heavier than most of our 7/8/9month olds. and baby was only 8lb something at birth. so we have no worries about lil chunks! lol.

tell me about it. the word chunk comes to mind. at least some of our LO's are near that but right sort of age.


i cant believe alex will be 1 in few days/weeks etc. where has the time gone? thing is once alex turns 1 we all know its not lng til ours follow.

Just thought i'd drop by and say hello, Billy is huge he weighs 28lb now! He always was big though and his weight gain has slowed loads now which is good. Hope everyone is well and all the babies are too.
