As mentioned in another thread in one of the pregnancy forums we have been getting little digs about having 2 dogs with baby on the way, constant comments from some about how hard it will be and even hints that we should re-home our youngest dog. This is sooooo not happening.

So I thought I would show you my lovely girls and invite you to show us all your lovely fur (or scaly) babies

This is Willow. We sadly lost her last June at nearly 5 years old after fighting liver disease for 2 years. She was very sweet, loving and funny but could also be a moody mare and as stubborn as hell. Miss her always



This is Maisie (yep the same as my username, all the Debs usernames were taken). She is a nearly 3 year old black Labrador. We got her when we found out Willow was poorly and I truly believe it was her company that kept Willow going for so long. Maisie is the sweetest and most gentle dog I have ever met and I defy anyone who meets her not to fall in love with her



Finally this is Lucy. She is a 7 month old Welsh Springer Spaniel. We brought her home in October last year and she has been such a good puppy. We've had our issues, like recently eating OH's rather expensive phone but she's a really good dog and so affectionate.



People say to us that we are crazy having 2 gun dogs breeds and think our house must be chaos but to be honest more often than not it's like this





We've also had a number of guinea pigs over the years, all sadly gone now. I am also on the waiting list for an allotment and plan to get some chickens as soon as I get one.

This is Holly - trying to get Esther out of her crate

She is just coming up to a year old. A lot of people think we are mad having a springer as well as 2 young children but i think it's best to have the dog when the children are young rather than introducing a dog when the children are older. It is hard work. Holly is still very jumpy and chewy so i can't really leave her alone with Esther or Daniel for too long. I love her to bits though and Esther really does too.

this is our new puppy apollo a border collie x german shepherd who is 10 weeks old, hes very underweight at the moment but we are fattening him up slowly lol, first pic is at home yesterday and the second is on the way home just after we got him x

This is Twix, yes she was named after the chocolate bar (Poor dog goes by about a thousand different names including Wixxle, Wixxy, Twixilicious, Muttersly, Lady Fartalot) Twix is when she knows she is doing something she isn't supposed to.

Wixxle is what she normally gets called though.. The twins like Wixxle.

I posted once about Twix and got lots of negative posts saying I should get rid of her but I didn't and nor would I. she isn't just a pet she is family. She gets treated just like the twins do.

I feel the same about my girls. They're never going anywhere. They are as entitled to a loving and stable family as OH, baby and I. They are our family x

What lovely dogs, no mistaking Penny for anything but a girly with those pretty eyes and I love the proud smile on Leo's face, clearly happy with his work lol.

Yeah I didn't have enough time for her and then one lady gave me the advice I was asking for rather than being negative and it helped me a lot.
Since then I took on her advice and we've gotten all the problems out of the way. Her toiletting indoors was the biggest issue and her chewing my walls and skirting boards.

But I proved you can get there and Twix is a happy dog, big and butch but happy all the same

Awww we are looking to get a maine coon later on this year i hear their personalities are fantastic, read some horror stories about them reaching incredible sizes lol. Pangur looks like a beaut though x

What a beautiful cat! I'd love to get a cat but OH doesn't like them particularly so wont let me. He's such a softy for animals though, I know he'd love it given a chance. I'm tempted to just go get a kitten from the shelter and pretend it was brought in to the station as abandoned (work for police)
