Sneaking back in...

Wishn- I'm glad the ball is finally rolling for you! I hope you don't have a long wait.

Belle- I am right there with you. I am sure trouble ttc #2, or three can be incredibly difficult but not ever knowing if you will ever be pregnant feels a little scary. I was even thinking lately, depending on how long this takes, if we end up with one bio should we adopt a second to save us from this ttc stress.

2ducks- what are you taking for migraines? I just ordered B complex to help with the 11 day LP but I get PMS migraines around 5 days before AF and would love not to!

Someone mentioned maca helping with energy - does it help with energy even during/after AF?

Belle - omg we might be preggerz and we weren't even trying...., that one... That's my UGHHH moment every time.

Riboflavin (B2) helps with migraines which is in my super B complex and magnesium. I am taking a mag/zinc/calcium combo. There is a supplement called migrelief which has B2, magnesium and the herb feverfew but i decided to stop taking it because I didn't know if feverfew would be bad for ttc. I never had success with Maca but I make my partner take it every day! I started taking red raspberry capsuls this cycle. 2 in the AM and 2 in the PM through O and then after O I will take just one a day. I have noticed a huge difference in my ovulation symptoms, they are much stronger. Way more CM and for the first time I noticed that my cervix was open.

2ducks, If we ever have a child, I think we will just NTNP the entire first year of his or her life. We may start actively trying once they're about a year old.

Pleasance, I have found that maca gives me a bit of an energy boost. Its subtle though. I do start to feel tired by the end of the day with maca, but I'm not a zombie at the end of the day anymore either lol. So I'd say thats an improvement

Well ladies I'm 6 dpo (man do my cycles ever race by). And I'm already feeling PMS symptoms starting to set in (getting more moody as the days go by). Honestly, this cycle the TWW progesterone side effects came on strong, it was like BOOM welcome to your two weeks of bloated, irritable hell lol.

There is the distinct possibility that I O'd a little earlier (even though I'm fairly confident I O'd on CD 12). So I could be as late as 8 dpo which may explain why my TWW symptoms seemed to come on so strongly this cycle.

Wishn, that's really exciting news that he agreed to refer you! Feels like progress. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get in.

Ducks, so red raspberry leaf is supposed to make stronger O? Hmm. I'm not sure if I have any follicular phase/o issues, but I'm currently in a phase of wanting to consider trying everything I can, lol. I could definitely use the riboflavin though if it will help prevent these god awful migraines!

Pleasance, I hate that one too! OMG, how crazy that I could be preggerz on my first try without even trying!! Aaaarrgh.

Belle, sorry for the PMS symptoms! Damned luteal phase hormones are no joke. We really want multiple kids too, and now that I know it doesn't just happen within a couple of months, I'd probably plan for NTNPing starting at the perhaps 6 month old mark if we do have a kid, and same as you, actively try at the year mark to year and a half mark.

Today is 10dpo for me and I'm just grouchy and a little sad. Have the telltale cramping still that I always get, gradually getting stronger each day. At this point in the cycle, my hope is dashed by the presence of these premenstrual cramps. I'm a lot less antsy to test now that I mostly feel out already. In one of those moods today where I sort of just want to throw a tantrum about not getting pregnant even though we're doing everything "right." Uggggh.

keeping my fingers x for all you ladies.

MissDoc I'm having the same kind of day! I got really dark blood on wiping this morning and them straight after the cramps (albeit very mild for me) started so looks like I'm out this cycle, looks like AF is rearing her ugly head early. What put the icing on the cake for me is that the pregnancy tests I ordered arrived in the mail today....grrrrrr

Beany that's totally Murphy's law. Just when the HPTs arrive so does AF! I once tested on the day AF was due. I waited till later in the day and she still hadnt shown. I took a test, stark white, and an hour later AF was here full force. FML lol oh I was mad!

Doc I'm hoping AF won't show for you! Those last few days before AF shows are the absolute worst of the entire cycle. I'm right behind you at 6 dpo! We can get through this!

Exactly Belle, I could've screamed. Not had any more blood or spotting but still getting twingey cramps so I'm guessing I'll probably get a "visitor" in the middle of the night and wake up and have to change the sheets!

Oh that is the worst Beany and Belle. The fertility gods must have a sense of humor, lol. So my stupid cramps are getting stronger throughout the day. If I'd have to guess, I'd say Saturday AF will be here, Sunday at the latest.

I am in such a crappy mood over this that I did a little something crazy, called my ob-gyn to make an appt. I mean, I'm due for a pap anyway, but I schedule the appt for fertility support. It's tomorrow afternoon. They may not do anything since I'm not in the totally abnormal range yet, but I just need to at least see if they're willing to start some basic exploration or if they can give some advice on what I can do differently. I hope she takes my frustrations seriously. She had her first child 2 yrs ago, so hopefully that'll make her sympathetic. :p

Aw MissDoc, I'm sorry you're feeling so crappy. I hope you find the appointment helpful, it's so frustrating if you feel your concerns aren't taken seriously. This whole ttc thing is hard work! I'm glad I've got a bunch of like-minded ladies to work through it with :hugs:

Beany night time AF arrivals are the worst! I'm incredibly lucky in the sense that I have a very regular AF. It almost always shows up in the afternoon after a 13 day LP. When I was living in Thailand though I always got AF in the middle of the night (consistently around 2 AM) and I would always get woken up by the cramps. It was AWFUL! I hope AF has the decency to show up during the day time hours for you!

Doc, good for you for booking that appointment! You could always exaggerate how long you have been actively trying. You NTNP for a long time so I would hope they would take you seriously either way!!

Aww, thanks for the support ladies. It's so nice to have a good place for that! I probably will exaggerate how long we've been actively trying.

Any ladies who have had those initial appts or testing have any advice on what to ask or advocate for?

Thanks Belle, I'm hoping the same, although if af could arrive before I start work or when I get home that would be great! How long did you live in Thailand for, bet it was amazing.

Doc, looking forward to reading the answers to your question - think I might be finding them very useful soon

I was only in Thailand for 3 months on a practicum. So lived in one of their larger cities and worked at various schools for children with disabilities. It was an awesome experience! I didn't have time to travel around much though so I would LOVE to go back and see more of South East Asia

Beany, if only AF could follow our schedule then we would be set! I'm still hoping it won't show up at all for you!!

The only testing my regular family doc would send me for was CD3 hormone levels (LH, FSH, estradiol, thyroid etc). My DH went for a semen analysis. My results were normal but DH's were quite below average (but not bad enough to get referred to a urologist). I will keep you all posted when I see the fertility specialist...part of me hopes not to get the initial appt until September so we can enjoy the summer without freaking out waiting for test results.

I hear ya Wishn. I also want to just enjoy the summer without worrying about testing. Our summers are so short. May as well enjoy them as best we can!

MissDoc, I forget, how long have you been ttc? Standard fertility testing is hormone blood panel, u/s,and HSG and then an SA for your partner. My OBGYN offered to order the SA for my partner but he got it through his PCP.

Exactly Belle, I could've screamed. Not had any more blood or spotting but still getting twingey cramps so I'm guessing I'll probably get a "visitor" in the middle of the night and wake up and have to change the sheets!

That's the worst!:nope:

Well no af has turned up so far, in fact no spotting/bleeding since yesterday morning and cramps seem to have gone. Not sure what's going on but I wonder if stress could be playing a part?

Beany that sounds really good!! Sounds like the blood was dark so it was old. I hope it's IB for you!!!!!

Well, I'm 7 dpo, so tww is already half over. Man time flies!! My PMS is still really bad, all my usual symptoms just worse this month. I started crying for no reason last night, like WTH lol
