So confused. EWCM, no temp rise. Fertile CM 1 week later.

This is my first "official" cycle since stopping the pill in December. I've never had to temp or use any TTC methods as I conceived very quickly with my first two but my body has not been happy re-adjusting since stopping birth control.

I didn't have regular periods pre-pregnancy but had only been having my period for about 2 years before I was pregnant with DD. My cycles were never set but had one period a month.

I've been diligently temping and checking CM this cycle and had definite fertile CM and EWCM one week ago but no temperature rise whatsoever. This morning I had watery, clear CM and a large temperature spike. My largest this entire cycle.

I'm so confused. I have been reading and have come across estrogen surges? Is that what might've happened a week ago? Thoughts?

I had this in my last cycle. Ovulation didn't happen for whatever reason the first time, but seems like it did the second time just before the temp spike. If your temp stays elevated for 3 to 5 days you can confirm ovulation happened.

Thanks for your reply! I had a massive temp spike so feeling confident this is finally ovulation.
