Miraya is adorable. We'll have baby boy pics on here soon! 30 days and counting.

I'm still sick and miserable, I worry that me feeling so crap like will affect the baby. Oh also got my diabetic apt tomorrow to find out if I Need insulin... ugh.

Tiffany, I can't wait to see your boy pictures!! It's getting soooo close!!! Wasn't I just 36 weeks pregnant??! I'm so excited. We need pictures of boys in the thread too. I hope you don't need insulin!!

Today we had Lelaina's 2 mth check up. She is in the 54th percentile for weight at 11 pounds (From being only at the 10th percentile at birth!!), and 89th percentile for height! Tall girl! She had to get 3 shots Poor baby just screamed & cried like I've never heard her. She never cries, so its a bit tough for me to hear her like that.

I don't think I could handle my baby getting shots to. It must be tough.

Don't need insulin as of yet so unlikely that I will unless mu sugars get really out of control. Got my first weekly apt monday. It's nuts that I am so close. I will be trying to get this baby out of me come one more week though, I'd like him to come a little early, it's getting quiet uncomfortable. I have a feeling our baby is going to be tall but I won't know till he comes out! I do know I'll have the heavier baby out of all you guys though.

Who knows, maybe you'll be surprised and he'll be small. Yeah the shots blow. And she got a fever of 100.4 tonight. She is miserable, its so sad.

I don't know this baby is sticking out of my belly at every angle! I am surprise he is still in there! I think he's going to be between 8 and 9 pounds. I get a scan at 38 weeks so will have a better idea of the weight then. I heard his HB on my stethoscope yesterday to!

Aww, so sorry to hear about Lelaina's shots - they really do stink. I hope she's feeling better by now. And that is a fabulous weight gain - well done! We have Christina's 6-month checkup tomorrow - I'm so excited to find out how much she weighs! We expected her to be tall, because my hubby is 6'7", but so far she's stayed at the 50th percentile for height, so she may just be average like me (I'm 5'7"). I'm not excited about the shots though.

Kelly, that's exciting that you'll get another scan! Don't be scared if they give you a large estimate of his size - those things sometimes are off by as much as 2-3 lbs. Hopefully he'll be a manageable size so you have a smooth delivery. We expected a big baby because I was born 8.5lb and my husband was over 9lb, but luckily Christina was only 7lb, 11oz, so not too hard to push out at all. I'm excited to see pictures of him also! I'm glad to hear you don't need insulin.

We started giving Christina some baby rice this week - I think she likes it, but she's not eating much yet. We're going to start her on some real food (maybe sweet potato or avocado) on Monday. We probably would start sooner, but we're heading out of state to visit my in-laws from Thursday-Sunday, so I think it will be easier to just wait until we get home. She also has started taking longer naps - like 1.5-2 hours each! This is amazing, because before she only would nap 30-40 minutes at a time. Now I can actually get work or housework done while she's napping. I'll update you guys again after her appointment tomorrow!

To go to prenatal class or not? I really don't want to, to tired and sore and DH is at work. It's on breast feeding but we just had a lactation specialist in class so I'm pretty much up and up on that stuff. I don't think I'm going to go, to be honest I have found them to be a waste of time with my nursing background.

cutie, I think my guy is going to be long, don't know why just a feeling, I could be totally wrong but it seems like he just reaches everywhere in side me at the same time. Glad your LO is doing well.

Stacie, I can't wait until Lelaina starts eating food! Mostly because it will give my boobs a bit more of a break! How exciting for you to be starting that! I'll definitely be interested in hearing her new weight & height. And good luck with the shots!! I am already dreading the next round for Lainey and that's not until September 1st!

Its been getting up to 100 here, so friggin hot I can't stand it! Lelaina and I have been having to go shopping at the mall just to get some cold air conditioning!

Tiffany, are the prenatal classes the same as childbirthing classes? If so, I found mine completely useless as well!! I knew everything they taught. Can't wait to see your little guys pictures and hear his stats and his top secret name!! It's getting so close, are you getting nervous about labor?

Yes they are like child birthing classes, it was nice to skip them.

I am a bit nervous but more so that I don't know when I'll go into labour. Been getting very uncomfortable lately and not sleeping well as the little booger likes to find new and torturous ways of kicking me in the crotch area and having it hurt or my legs go numb.

You will all know the name soon! Don't hate me! I don't think nids told us her name either and she didn't seem to get any slack for it! 23 more days, if I have held it in this long without slipping then surely you guys can wait a couple more weeks? Well off to first day of maternity clinical!

Tiff- haha yes it is! And Nids did tell us her name beforehand. No secrets there, just you! Take comfort in the fact that most mom's go overdue, so you have a good chance of making it to your due date. Which is good so you'll have your Dr., but sucky for all the aches & pains!
I don't remember your reason for keeping it a secret... don't want someone to use it or have opinions sway you??

Stacie -How'd Christina's appointment go?

Christina's appointment went well, and her height it starting to show - she's now 80th percentile for height/length! She weighs 17 lb and is 72nd percentile for weight. OUr pediatrician said genetic predispositions for things like height usually don't start showing until age 1-2, so she thinks she'll be a tall one since it's showing up so early.

She took her shots like a champ, but then had a hard time sleeping yesterday with all of our traveling. She made up for it though by sleeping from 6:30-4:15!! I couldn't believe it, and my boobs felt like rocks by then. I'm thinking once we get her onto food, she may start sleeping through for 12 hours like her doctor wants.

Kelly I can't wait to hear your little guy's name either! So close now!

Our reasons for not telling were 1) I promised DH i wouldn't and I don't break my promises to him! and 2) we didn't want people hating on it before they met our boy nor did we want to hear their opinions. I did get one of his canvases done though, the one with his name! I will ask DH tonight if it's ok to tell you ladies... he'll more then likely say no though.

I really didn't remember nids telling us her girls name, ah well, you ladies will survive!

Stacie- Wow those are some great stats!! Well done. Sleeping for 12 hours would be amazing! I can't even imagine getting to that point. And sounds like your daughter is gonna be quite tall! We are actually surprised that Lelaina was so tall right now, because DH and I are on the shorter side of average height. He's just 5'10 and I'm 5'4.

Do you think shots get better as your baby gets older? Or is it always terrible? I'm hoping Lelaina's next set will be better because she'll be able to have Tylenol.



Tiff-haha yes we can make it. The end/beginning is near. I agree with not wanting to hear peoples opinions especially if they don't like it. So many people gave me their opinion with my daughters name, but I didn't give a damn whether they liked it or not.

Yeah, I actually think next time I have a baby I'll keep the name a secret or only tell a couple close ppl. No one really said anything negative to me, but I could kind of see it in their face. Plus some ppl are idiots and couldn't figure out how to pronounce it. It's pronounced the way its spelled, but lots of ppl pronounce it as Leiloni (Lay-lawn-E) or Lay-lawn-uh.

Its like 102 here right now!! I'm dieing!!!! And baby girl just want to cuddle which I love, but I'm so sweaty just sitting here so its not too comfy. Not gonna even bother taking her outside in this heat, just staying home to play with her and watch The Office I think. Damn sun!

Its super hot here to, over 30 degrees. I am heading off now to meet a friend at the pool across the street, gonna bare my bump to all! It's to hot to have a shirt over it, if they don't like it I don't care!
