The progesterone issue is by no means straightened out.![Wacko  ](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/wacko.gif)
I left a message yesterday afternoon, and when I hadn't heard back after lunch today, I called and insisted on talking directly with a nurse.
The person I reached said a nurse wasn't available right now, and said that there was a note from last night for the doctor to re-examine my prescription, but that the doctor probably wouldn't get to it until tomorrow. I said that I couldn't wait that long to get this straightened out, as the medication needed to be started tomorrow!
A nurse called me back about half an hour later and I went over the whole thing again...... I needed progesterone, not provera, the doctor needs to approve it etc. The nurse was really helpful and offered to just get the prescription ordered and do it for three months. I thought the issue was solved.
Five minutes later she calls back and says that the previous prescription wasn't for progesterone 100mg, and so she can't order it ( I'd already said this to like 5 people by now!!). I explained, AGAIN, that the doctor had discussed the progesterone support at my appointment, but simply hadn't written the order right then, and we just needed her to order it.
The nurse, still trying to be helpful, promised to wait for the doctor to be in between patients and have her order it then. SO half an hour later the nurse calls and says that she got hold of the doctor, and the doctor told her to call a fertility clinic for instructions on progesterone support! They were waiting to hear back from the clinic, but it might not be until tomorrow, and they close at noon on Fridays...
She said that they weren't a fertility clinic so they didn't deal with things like this. I'm like
but the doctor herself brought up the progesterone!!
Am I the only one that thinks this whole experience is ridiculous? The doctor truly cares, and I am with her because she's the only one so far who took my PCOS seriously, and actually is trying to help me out.
But I think next month we need a real fertility clinic, expensive or not!
