Interesting. I don't think I've had it before so who knows? Was awakened 2 hours before temping today so I can't take that temperature as accurate, and opks negative today. So..

Congrats Sarah! I knew you were though with that line getting darker! But now it's official! Let us know how your blood test goes tomorrow. Is dh excited?!

Thanks guys! Yeah I pretty much knew it too, but AF was due yesterday and my cheapie line today was darker than the test line! So I decided to go for a digi. Since I'm really 2 weeks 1 day past ovulation, it makes me happy that it came up 2-3 weeks. That means likely the hcg is doubling like it should!

DH is excited but terrified do triplets lol. Oh my goodness. DH saw my dark line on the cheapie this morning and said something about triplets. I said, "No honey, it's just a healthy baby." He said, "Yeah, all three of them!!" Lol.

Congrats Sarah!! I have been stalking this thread all weekend hoping you would post some good news. :baby:

So I took the fertility tests from First Response and EPT this morning at CD3. They both test the FSH in the urine at CD3. They both say if the test line is the same color or darker than the control (positive), then the FSH level is elevated. If the test line is lighter or non-existent, then the FSH level is normal.

I've read many reviews before taking the tests, and I've learned that the First Response test positive at 25 mIU/ml, which is way too high (it's in the menopausal range). Most labs consider anything over 10 mIU/ml to be elevated. I could not find any reviews on the EPT test or the test sensitivity because this product is brand new and has just hit the store shelves this week.

First Response test says it takes 30 minutes to develop. Read results at 30 minutes. Do not read results after an hour.

EPT test says to read results at 5 minute mark. Do not read results after 10 minutes.

First up is the EPT test. The test strip is a little bent so the lines are a little darker at the bottom. My test line (the one on the left in the round window) was thinner than the control line, but I couldn't tell if it's lighter or the same color as the control line. Pic was taken at around 6-7 minute mark (couldn't get the camera ready at the 5 minute mark).

After 30 minutes I was finally ready to read results of the First Response test. The test line was definitely lighter, but since the sensitivity is at 25 mIU/ml all it's telling me is that I'm not menopausal.

I had my labs drawn yesterday at my RE's office at CD2 (they are not open on Sundays) so I will report back tomorrow when I get my results back for the FSH via a real blood test.

So far the conclusion is that the EPT test is more sensitive than the First Response but the actual value of the measurement is unknown at this time. We shall compare it to the real blood test when I get my numbers back.

So does my EPT test look positive? I can't tell. DH couldn't tell either.

Well to me both lines look lighter than the control line. Hope that helps?!

Your husband is hilarious :haha:

Hi everyone! After a hugely disappointing first Clomid cycle, I took the last month to think about TTC as little as possible, live as stress free as possible, take Clomid and use OPKs, and beyond that, try not to think about it... which included a break from our family here, which was SO difficult to do!

Needless to say, I'm 17DPO, my second Clomid cycle, and I tested for the first time today... :bfp:

We are still in shock - cannot believe it! Congratulations and good luck to you all! :hugs:

AHHHHHHHHHHH this is my 8th month of TTC#1! Currently 8DPO so we will see. I have an HSG scheduled for the 18th. I am 27 as well so very frustrating. AF is always normal 28 day cycle.

Thanks Michelle! Just needed another sets of eyes!

Floridasian...I looked at this on my phone & I think I agreed with Michelle. Now of course at work neither picture shows up. I will try to look when I get home.

I hope your blood work comes back fine. I am glad you are on femara...I did not have any side effects from it. My side effects came from the follistim...let's hope you don't ever have to go that far. ;)

Thanks beaglemom! I took my first dose of Letrozole last night and I'm a little more tired than usual this morning, but other than that I feel fine. I'm waiting for my doctor to call me back about my lab results. A little nervous but I remain hopeful! :)
