The BFP Annoucement Sticky - Guidelines

I'm very excited to finally share that I got my :bfp last week. My doc sent me for 2 rounds of blood work this week after an early miscarriage in June. I found out today that my numbers are looking great- hcg more than quadrupled in 2 days....yay!!!

It's finally starting to sink in just a little bit...:dance:

I'm brand new to this site and new to pregnancy - just having received a BFP at 5 weeks. I wanted to post a note of encouragement to the over 35 community. I am in my early 40's with a history of mild endometriosis (my mother had it, as well) and wasn't sure if I would ever be able to conceive on my own, not having had success in over a year and a half of trying. I was just about to schedule my second appointment with a fertility specialist for repeat testing and to talk about the "what's next" stage, when I missed a period, did a home pregnancy test and got my first BFP a week later. I'm nervous, scared and trying to just "be" with this special news at the moment - but whatever the outcome, it was comforting to me to know that it is possible! I know how it feels to get hopeful and then feel devastated with the arrival of each period. But if there is an example of possibility - it's me! ;) Sending good baby vibes and a sense of anticipation to all! By the way, I have a dear friend who conceived at age 44, gave birth at 45 and now has a beautiful, healthy 18-month old boy. She was proof to me that though we are all different, it can happen for us! Miracles happen!

Congrats Myra & Eco, thanks for sharing. It's so encouraging to hear good news.
All the very best :hugs:

Wow just read back a couple of pages - congratulations to everyone that got their BFP - so pleased to see all that good news. Fab!! Hope it's catching :)
X

Hello ladies , just wanted to say hi and give some hope .
I been here for a while as a stalker:blush:
now im showing my face to share good news and what worked for me at this age.
My story
Im 37 and because of my career i put of motherhood off .
At 35 decided it was time to let nature do her thing , time passed and nothing.
6 months ago we tried with OPKs , charting ,temperatures ect .. nothing happened either.
5 months ago was told i had really low AM hormone and got really depressed and obsessed.
Husband was a heavy smoker and occasionally smoked pot ) :
Good news:
Today I got my BFP!!

what worked for us:
Hubby stopped smoking and drinking 3 months ago
I stopped obsessing with Forums, OPKS and Thermometers.
I took multi Vitamins ,Royal Jelly , q10 , Evening Primrose oil , maca (low dose) ,Folic Acid and DHEA ..
Used Pre Seed.
I was not very regular with my supplements as i travel very much but I think something might have helped there.
I would also recommend doing a HSG to check your tubes ,I had a clogged tube and that got sorted in the HSG , it hurt like hell but was worth.

Baby Dust to all of you ladies and never lose hope.:baby:
Love
ALita

Congrats Alita, I also found calling out a bit helped! Heathy and happy nine months x
