The Choice to Formula Feed

I LOVE Fearless Formula Feeder. I like her because she's all about what's best for mom and child and is also very pro-breastfeeding.

I just don't think women should be shamed into breastfeeding.

EXACTLY.

There are so many good reasons to breastfeed, but women shouldn't be shamed into it, and shouldn't be shamed for FF either. Sure, there are mothers who don't try to BF, but I think MOST moms who do FF do think about or try BF before they make that choice to FF. A lot of women feel guilty enough, no need for the BF community to make it feel worse.

I do think it's interesting that as a society that we are all for "choice" in most areas of our personal life, but NOT in how we feed our children.

Again, I LOVE breastfeeding. I totally plan on nursing the next. But I don't see my use of formula due to jaundice, a poor latch and lack of education as a "better" reason than a mom who just doesn't want to breastfeed for whatever reason.
