hi all im going to be using tommy tippee bottles with my 2nd child but was looking at a bottle warmer for nightime feeds as with a toddler and OH who works early hours i would like baby to have least time as possible waiting for a bottle. Has anyone got one and are they any good before i buy one? x

Hi. I got the Tommee Tippee bottle warmer as part of my starter pack with the bottles and steriliser etc and we love it.

At night I switch it on and put the bottle in. It takes about 3-4 mins and over depending on how much milk there is and the size of the bottle. I change her nappy at night while the bottle is warming.

To be honest though I don't know any different and boiling a kettle and putting the bottle in a bowl of boiling water might take the same amount of time. For me I feed in the front room and ours is open plan. The noise of the kettle would probably wake her up too much so I'm happy with the warmer.

Mine came with a starter set and use it for night feeds. We pop bottle in and change bubs whilst its warming much easier than boiling kettle at night. Wouldn't say it's a vital piece of equipment bu it's Defo useful at night if that's what you want.

You could also consider the Tommee Tippee travel flask. I got mine for £7 from Amazon. The advantages of this would be:-

- You will probably want a travel warmer anyway, for when you get out and about. I found it really frustrating that 'health and safety' dictated that I was not allowed to be given a jug of hot water myself. So the staff would warm my bottle for me. This would result in the bottle being still cold, or boiling hot cos they had forgotten about it. Much easier to just have your own arrangements stashed in the changing bag.

- Prepare the flask at night and you can use it to heat the bottle in whatever room you are feeding in.

So, it kind of kills two birds with one stone.

If you also had a coolbox you could store the night feed(s) in the coolbox in the bedroom, and then you wouldnt even have to go downstairs in the night at all!
