Trying To Conceive #1 Only Vent Thread

No prescription I bought em at our vitamin store GNC but you can buy em offline. They're a little pricey but when it comes to TTC we're willing to give just about anything to get pregnant. At this point anyone could tell me things that make women fall pregnant & I'd be desperate enough to try it. But with a fertility blend a friend of mine had a friend who got pregnant using it after ttc for over a year so I thought heck I'll give it a go :)

For each 1 it was $32 we spent like $60 something on a bottle for him & a bottle for me.

Yes you need a prescription for Clomid and should have tests done before taking it.

Thanks for letting me know. :flower:

Does anyone what happens when you go in for the day 3 blood work?

I'm having mine done again on Monday. They test progesterone, lh levels, FSH, and they may test for other levels. I've started going to a Specialist so they do a lot of tests.

How much is a specialist? The hubby wanted us to go to one but I think it might be expensive as hell.

:nope:I feel like I'm suffocating. I wan't to cry but it wont come. I'm angry but it doesn't show...I just look sad or annoyed. I'm hurting. I'm tired of TTC but I can't let it go.

:hugs: trust me when I tell you that most of us feel this way. Negative after negative, it gets exhausting. You feel like the day when you see two lines on that test will never come but it eventually will! Try to stay positive and keep seeing any changes you can make each cycle to improve your chances. Hugs to you, keep your chin up your day will come.

Cramps are kicking in and bb's hurt and due for af in a week. With Christmas coming up next month, I'm glad I won't be able to make it to the family reunion. My heart would not be able to handle it. I'm not in the joyous mood this year for it. Especially since AF will be starting on Christmas or Eve if for the millionth time we won't succeed  Another lonely Christmas coming up with a side dish of rub it in pictures of kids on Christmas morning splashed all over Facebook.

I found out a close friend is almost 8 months pregnant with a boy. Her father payed for an abortion and she got pregnant again two weeks later because she didn't want to wait a month to have sex. I'm jealous right now. She told me she wanted a baby but not now because she was getting her CN. Everyone is getting pregnant but me. It's hard to stay positive!

That is just awful wishing.. :(

And Tami I think I'll be with you on Christmas eve or Christmas af cam e then last year was pretty heart broken :( ugg I used to love holidays now I find them as just a reminder of not having children. They're just depressing :/

I'm starting to hate Christmas even more. I have a cousin who's giving some time around Christmas week. Go me!

I have health insurance so it's the same price as me going to my GYNO. Just pay my regular co pay. You can get a lot of the tests done right through your gyno.

Hey Wishing, sorry I haven't been on for a few days. Yes to answer your question Clomid is a prescription but most MD's wont prescribe without blood work done to show if your ovulating or not. i just had all my labs done last week. He tested my progesterone (which shows if you are ovulating), then FSH, LH, Estradiol, and Thyroid hormones. If you have low progesterone <0.5ng/mL then you are usually prescribed the Clomid, a pill, to help your body become more sensitive your hormones that are in your body already. then after the first round which you start on Day 3 of your cycle after you finish then you should ovulate on Day 14ish. Then they send you for another round of blood work to see if it helped boost your progesterone level on Day 21. You do not need a specialist for these tests a normal OB/GYN can order them and should. Hope that answered some questions for you.

That was very helpful. Thank you.

I've been ttc for a couple months now. Been married for over a year. We weren't exactly trying to get pregnant at first, but we also haven't been trying NOT to get pregnant besides pull out method.... I have irregular periods which is really frustrating. My last period was September 26, and the one before that was June 25 so that was the longest gap I've had since getting married. Before getting married its happened twice where ive had to wait about 5 months to get my period.
I tested November 7th, but it was negative. I think ive taken at least a dozen pregnancy test in the last year. All negative. But now that we are officially trying, I'm getting sick of not knowing when I ovulate, therefore not knowing when to test.... Trying to be patient for the next test....
