Oooh... sorry Rachel I have to disagree with you. I don't dislike or disrespect smokers. I don't smoke, that's my choice. I don't appreciate inhaling others smoke and sometimes, even outdoors, you can't avoid it.
The way I see it is that if we were born smokers and chose not to smoke then absolutely it would be the non smokers responsibility to move away from smokers to protect themselves... but when we are all initially non smokers and smokers make that choice to smoke then they need to accept responsibility for it. It's been proved that smoke inhalation of any kind can be harmful and so really smokers should be doing everything to protect others from inhaling the fumes from their habit.
Think of it a different way. If I chose to take up a dangerous hobby... lets say I enjoy waving knives around carelessly... you wouldn't think that it's your reponsibility move away from me to protect yourself. You'd expect me to take care, respect others from danger and only practice my hobby in a place where I could only harm myself. That's a stupid OTT example but kinda makes the point.
Don't wanna start a debate and I hope I've put my point across without it seeming like one of those overly negi comments that make a thread spiral.
no i would run from u if u were waving knifes to protect myself just like some of u would move if a person was smoking nxt 2 u it makes sense
